Chapter 13: Deadly Bend 7 – Judgment

Jiang Shulan had always thought Vincent was already a complete pervert.

When they were together, Vincent would steal kisses from him whenever he felt like it, regardless of whether other people were around.

He was always touching him, and because he was taller and stronger, he often trapped Jiang Shulan in his arms until he couldn’t move, doing whatever he pleased.

What Jiang Shulan had never expected was that William, who looked as pure and beautiful as a legendary elf, was somehow even worse than Vincent.

After finally getting a chance to breathe, he didn’t even have time to wipe the moisture from his chin. His lips, reddened and swollen from being bitten, trembled as he forced a few words out.

“You… pervert!”

Yet William continued finding new ways to shatter his expectations.

His shirt had already been pulled open completely, and the exposed skin shivered slightly in the cool air.

Under Jiang Shulan’s disbelieving, furious gaze, one that looked ready to kill, William lowered his head again.

He didn’t get very far.

Vincent suddenly grabbed a fistful of his long hair from behind and yanked hard enough to force him to look up.

“What?” William’s lips were flushed red, and his eyes held the satisfied gleam of a well-fed predator.

Despite having his hair pulled, he didn’t seem angry. The experience had been far better than he’d imagined, and he could somewhat “understand” why Vincent was unhappy about having to share.

Still…

William raised an eyebrow and tilted his head back, glancing sideways at Vincent.

“You haven’t tried it?”

“Heh.” Vincent let out a cold laugh. “We should take him to the judgment. Otherwise, do you think he’ll stay?”

William turned back and met Jiang Shulan’s gaze.

Apparently William had very little experience kissing people. He used far too much force and never gave Jiang Shulan a chance to breathe. If Jiang Shulan hadn’t struggled so hard on his own, he might have become the first player in history to suffocate from a kiss.

Between the lack of oxygen and the anger, his eyes had reddened. Tears spilled out uncontrollably, making his blue eyes look even more pitiful.

And even prettier.

Maybe he’d gone a little too far.

William licked his lips.

The thing called “reason” finally returned.

He effortlessly lifted Jiang Shulan into his arms as if he were carrying a doll.

Resting his chin in the crook of Jiang Shulan’s neck, he stared at him with green eyes and deliberately dragged out his words.

“Sorry, Baby. I was wrong. Will you forgive me?”

He was so ridiculously handsome that Jiang Shulan had almost no resistance to his type.

If his throat and chest weren’t still burning from earlier, he might actually have forgiven him.

Instead, Jiang Shulan laughed in disbelief and used what little strength he had left to slap him.

“Get lost!”

“…”

William fell silent for a few seconds.

Then he turned the other side of his face toward Jiang Shulan’s hand.

“Baby, my right cheek wants to be slapped too.”

Was being slapped somehow enjoyable?!

Jiang Shulan’s eyes widened as he looked toward Vincent.

Apparently misunderstanding the look entirely, Vincent immediately leaned his face closer as well.

The gentle facade he usually wore had completely fallen away, revealing the obsession beneath.

“Me too.”

Jiang Shulan felt like his worldview was collapsing.

For the first time, he carefully and quietly observed the brothers.

Every so often, he’d reach out and slap one of them.

Even when he got tired and only managed to lift his hand halfway, someone would make sure they still got “hit.”

[Are these really the final BOSSes, System?!]

If the brothers were compared to dogs, then every slap probably made their tails wag like electric fans.

[Maybe I should add a note beside their names, BOSS (Simp).]

[Haha.]

Jiang Shulan couldn’t even force a smile.

[Wuwuwuwu… I quit.]

He couldn’t do this anymore.

Maybe he should just find a chance to die and leave the game early.

Jiang Shulan immediately entered corpse mode.

The brothers quickly realized he wasn’t going to reward either of them anymore, which left them both somewhat disappointed.

After spending so much time together, Vincent instantly understood what Jiang Shulan’s blank expression meant.

The moment Jiang Shulan lay there motionless, looking as though his soul had already ascended to heaven while only his body remained behind, Vincent assumed he had finally figured out that both brothers intended to claim him.

Vincent was confident that sooner or later Jiang Shulan would work through it himself and return to his usual energetic self.

So he simply chased William out of the room and, with practiced familiarity, changed all of Jiang Shulan’s clothes.

Even after that, Jiang Shulan still hadn’t recovered.

His expression remained vacant.

Eventually, Vincent found it amusing and took him to the judgment ceremony.

By the time they entered the tribe’s makeshift “courtroom,” many people were already waiting.

Amy and the others were there too.

Their heads were covered with burlap sacks, and their bodies were tightly bound with ropes.

The moment Jiang Shulan spotted them, his “soul” immediately returned to his body.

Without hesitation, he shook off Vincent’s hand and ran toward them.

“You perverted lunatic! Crazy dog!”

Lifting his chin, he waved a fist at Vincent.

Apparently slaps weren’t strong enough.

Next time he’d use his fist.

He refused to believe that wouldn’t work.

After his brief outburst, Jiang Shulan settled down and began trying to untie the ropes binding Amy.

Vincent didn’t stop him.

In this place, he was the one in control. No matter where Jiang Shulan ran, Vincent could always bring him back.

Still, if acting submissive made Jiang Shulan happier, he was more than willing to indulge him…

However, Jiang Shulan’s attempt to untie Amy and the others immediately drew dissatisfaction from the rest of the people present at the trial.

Someone shouted angrily, “What are you doing?”

Jiang Shulan glared back without hesitation.

“Are you blind? Can’t you see for yourself?”

They had set traps and tried to kill them, yet these people still had the nerve to act so righteous?

“You-!”

The man was furious. He stepped forward, clearly intending to argue with Jiang Shulan, but a single glance from Vincent scared him into retreating.

Jiang Shulan had absolutely no understanding of the phrase “quit while you’re ahead.”

All he knew was that he could borrow someone else’s authority.

Under the murderous gazes of most of the people in the hall, he successfully untied the ropes around Amy.

Just as he was about to remove the sack covering her head, someone suddenly grabbed his arm.

Before he could react, he was lifted off the ground, his feet dangling in the air as a pair of strong arms wrapped tightly around his waist.

“Baby, I missed you so much.”

William’s breath was scorching hot.

The warm air from his words brushed against Jiang Shulan’s ear, instantly turning it red, while his wandering fingers began slipping lower.

“William!”

Vincent grabbed William and forcibly tore him away from Jiang Shulan.

His cold voice carried barely restrained fury.

Unlike William, who had grown up in the forest and thought nothing of embracing someone in front of others, Vincent had spent years living among humans.

The education and social norms he had experienced had given him at least a small sense of propriety.

There were so many people watching.

Even if he knew none of them dared entertain inappropriate thoughts, the mere fact that they could see Jiang Shulan made Vincent uncomfortable.

William narrowed his deep green eyes dangerously.

“Vincent.”

“Do you want everyone here to see him crying with red eyes?”

That was absolutely unacceptable.

William reluctantly let go.

After all, by tomorrow, Jiang Shulan would belong completely to the two of them.

Jiang Shulan pressed his lips together.

Tears shimmered in his eyes.

He refused to look at either of the brothers.

William’s behavior made him feel as though he wasn’t being treated like a person at all, but rather…

Vincent bent down and spoke softly, his thumb gently wiping away the tears gathering at the corners of Jiang Shulan’s eyes.

“I’m sorry, baby. I promise Amy will be fine. William won’t touch you again either. Don’t cry.”

Jiang Shulan took a deep breath, forcing down the sob threatening to escape.

“…What about the others?”

Amy wasn’t the only person he wanted to save.

“The trial cannot be stopped,” Vincent said.

“But if that’s what you want, I promise all of them will survive. Is that okay?”

Jiang Shulan lifted his tear-filled blue eyes.

Within them was a dependence that even he himself hadn’t realized.

“Really?”

A faint smile curved Vincent’s lips.

“Of course.”

That’s right.

This was exactly how things should be.

William’s actions would only push Jiang Shulan further into Vincent’s arms.

So what if William could captivate Jiang Shulan with his appearance?

Vincent had countless ways to draw him back to his side again and again.
