He’s a fellow bodyguard.”
Han-geon smiled awkwardly.
He must’ve seen everything earlier, when I was flustered and signing for him.
Showing that side of himself in front of an actual celebrity made him feel strangely embarrassed.
But Eun-gyeol looked like he couldn’t care less about things like that.
“Yeah?”
From the way his eyebrow was crooked, his sour mood was obvious.
Even his tone carried a strange edge.
Han-geon frowned slightly.
Wait… is Cha Eun-gyeol upset right now?
Just as a bad feeling crept up on him, the man who had been standing there awkwardly bowed toward Eun-gyeol.
“Actor Cha Eun-gyeol, hello.
I’m a fan, sir.”
“Yes, thank you.”
Thankfully, Eun-gyeol responded with a gentle smile, showing no sign of agitation.
Maybe Han-geon had imagined it after all.
Letting out a silent sigh of relief, Han-geon quickly turned to greet the man.
“Well, we should get going now.
It was nice meeting you.”
“I know that must’ve been sudden, Senior, but thank you so much for responding so kindly.”
“Haha, not at all.
Take care, and let’s meet again sometime.”
“Yes!
Definitely!”
Leaving the man smiling shyly behind, Han-geon climbed into the car.
“We’ll be departing now,” the driver announced through the speaker from behind the partition, and the vehicle began to move.
That was when Eun-gyeol’s low voice spoke beside him.
“What was that guy about?
Choi Han-geon.”
“What about him?”
“What did he do to you just now?”
Han-geon blinked, then hurriedly waved his hand.
“What are you talking about?
He didn’t do anything.
He’s just a junior who works as a bodyguard too, so we talked a bit.”
“A junior?
Since when is he your junior?
Does everyone in the same line of work count as your junior?”
The atmosphere he was giving off felt seriously wrong.
Unfortunately, the unease Han-geon had felt earlier hadn’t been unfounded.
Han-geon looked at Eun-gyeol with disbelief written all over his face.
“…You’re joking, right?”
“I’m not joking.
I don’t like it.”
Eun-gyeol breathed shallowly, his expression fierce.
A hollow laugh slipped out of Han-geon.
Before he could even begin to soothe him, Eun-gyeol pressed on relentlessly.
“Why does that bastard get to talk to you so casually?
He’s a stranger.”
“Hey, Cha Eun—”
“Why was his face all red when he was looking at you?
Why does he get your autograph and grab your hand like that?
I smelled him.
That bastard was an alpha too.”
His breathing was rough.
Han-geon tried cutting in once or twice to say something, anything, but it seemed nothing reached Eun-gyeol, whose eyes were already clouded over.
Letting out a sigh, Han-geon quietly looked at him.
When a brief lull finally opened up, Han-geon spoke calmly.
“Calm down.
If you keep acting like this, I can’t talk to you.”
“…..”
“If you want to ride all the way to the set without saying a word to me, then keep getting mad on your own.”
After saying that, Han-geon simply looked at him, offering neither reproach nor excuse.
Being gentle and indulging him mattered, but sometimes, putting on the brakes was necessary too.
After a moment, Eun-gyeol, who had been acting sharp, bit down on his lower lip and dropped his gaze to the side.
His tightly twisted brows slackened, his emotions shifting direction.
His thick Adam’s apple bobbed restlessly, and only after clenching his jaw for a long while did Eun-gyeol mutter,
“…I don’t like it.”
“Don’t like what.”
“Other guys looking at you.
Touching you.”
“…..”
“Choi Han-geon is mine, right?
He’s mine, so why do other guys get to touch him?”
The voice was so plaintive it made the listener ache.
At the dramatic shift in mood, Han-geon stared at Eun-gyeol in stunned silence.
Whether he realized getting angry wouldn’t work, or whether he was forcibly holding it back, Eun-gyeol just looked unbearably miserable as he stared downward, no longer showing any sign of lashing out.
“Again.
You’re acting like a kid.”
“…..”
“What am I, an object?
Something only you get to touch and look at?
Are you really going to keep acting this childish?”
Trying to lighten the mood, Han-geon deliberately crossed his fingers and flicked Eun-gyeol lightly on the forehead.
It was the gentlest, most childish kind of flick.
He couldn’t leave a mark on skin that precious.
At that moment, his wrist was suddenly grabbed.
Before Han-geon could process what was happening, Eun-gyeol closed the distance between them.
At the same time, he yanked shut the curtain covering the window.
In the now perfectly sealed space, Han-geon’s eyes widened.
“What are you doing all of a sudden—!”
His captured wrist was pulled with overwhelming force.
Hot lips crashed against his without explanation.
Amid ragged breaths, their lips rubbed together, soft flesh crushed clumsily between them.
Just as Han-geon instinctively struggled to push him away, a thick, desperate voice clung to his ear.
“Kiss me.”
Dark and earnest, Eun-gyeol whispered.
“I need you, Choi Han-geon.
Right now.
That’s why, so… please, kiss me.”
Fingers slipped inside his jacket.
As if he needed to confirm Han-geon’s existence, Eun-gyeol didn’t bother hiding his urgency.
Even as their tongues tangled, long fingers roamed frantically along his ribs.
The hand that slid up traced over his firm chest, his abdomen, his thigh.
The touch was so hot and desperate that Han-geon couldn’t bring himself to push Eun-gyeol away.
“You’re really… such an idiot.”
Only after a long while did Han-geon pull his lips back, scolding him in a low, hoarse voice.
“Seriously, learn some restraint, ngh…
How are we supposed to survive in society like this?”
“…I’m sorry.”
Eun-gyeol muttered with his eyes lowered.
It was a face pitiful enough to draw sympathy from anyone with a heart.
“Am I disgusting to you when I get like this?”
“…..”
“But I can’t help wanting to be the only one who touches you.
When I see someone else touching you, my vision goes white.
I can’t think about anything.
All I hear is my heart pounding, and I feel like I’m going insane.”
“Cha Eun-gyeol.”
“It was the same earlier.
That bastard earlier—”
Eun-gyeol cut himself off, grimacing deeply as he sucked in a harsh breath.
His broad chest rose and fell unsteadily.
Watching him suffer just from remembering it, Han-geon looked on, half exasperated and half aching with pity.
“He was blushing while looking at you.
And you didn’t even notice.
You gave him your autograph and smiled.
Do you know what kind of thoughts he was having while staring at your face?”
“What thoughts could he possibly have?
He got an autograph.
What exactly is he supposed to do with that?”
“Alphas are all like that.
With just that autograph, that fucker probably spent the whole night—”
“That’s enough.
Seriously, stop.”
He’d indulged him a bit because his sad muttering was pitiful and cute, but the content was getting increasingly ridiculous.
When Han-geon cut him off coldly, Eun-gyeol once again dropped his gaze, looking miserable.
“Just imagining it makes me want to kill him.
I want to take back the autograph you gave him.
I want to have Choi Han-geon all to myself.
Lock you up, make you look only at me, let only me touch you—”
“Please calm down.
Stop saying weird things.”
No matter what Han-geon said, Eun-gyeol acted like he couldn’t hear him.
He kept muttering like someone out of his mind.
Seeing how extremely anxious he was, Han-geon finally let out a sigh.
When he reached out and hugged him, Eun-gyeol buried his face into Han-geon’s chest like a dog that had finally found its long-lost owner.
The carefully done makeup from that morning smeared all over Han-geon’s white shirt as he stayed like that for a long while.
The back pressed against Han-geon’s arms was trembling faintly.
No matter how he thought about it, it was absurd.
Could this really be dismissed as simple jealousy?
It was too violent to call cute, but scolding him outright felt cruel when he looked this pitiful.
Either way, Eun-gyeol’s condition clearly wasn’t normal, so soothing him came first.
Han-geon patted his back with a rough, steady hand.
“What exactly is making you this anxious, huh?”
“…..”
“It’s not like you’re comparing yourself to that guy from earlier.”
The more he thought about it, the more ridiculous it seemed, and Han-geon let out a quiet chuckle.
It wasn’t that he was looking down on the man who’d asked for an autograph.
The very idea of putting Cha Eun-gyeol side by side with someone as a comparison was absurd.
Had Cha Eun-gyeol ever even felt jealousy in his life?
He’d probably never even had a reason to.
That was something you felt toward someone you thought was superior to you.
And yet here he was, acting this childish over nothing more than an autograph given to a passing stranger.
“…That’s not it.”
Eun-gyeol muttered in a dark voice.
Even after forcing the words out, he struggled to continue.
The broad back warming Han-geon’s lap swelled and fell several times.
“It’s just that… when it comes to you, I keep acting like a lunatic.
And I’m scared that you’ll find me disgusting because of it.”
“…..”
“I’m scared you’ll get tired of me.
That you’ll start hating me.
That… that thought scares me so much.”
After finally finishing, Eun-gyeol stayed still with his face buried in Han-geon’s chest.
Han-geon tried to make him lift his head, but Eun-gyeol stubbornly refused.
Han-geon let out a deep sigh.
“Look at me.”
At the short command, Eun-gyeol slowly lifted his face.
His lower lip was red all over, chewed raw from how badly he’d been biting it.
“Don’t bite your lip.”
At the firm order, even that habit didn’t last long.
