Chapter 15: The Blood Moon Observation Tower

Near the observatory.

Qin Yu and Yin Feixue hid themselves around the perimeter; any further forward, and they would likely be spotted by the Blood Observers within the observatory.

These Blood Observers had originally been exceptionally skilled observers, but staying in the Blood Soul Realm for too long made it easy to lose oneself.

They were prime examples of that fate.

“The weakest ones here are Tier 5. Xiao Xue, I’m counting on you for everything.”

He was gambling now—gambling that he could reach the Blood Moon via the observatory to activate the God-Slayer Automaton.

If he succeeded, Qin Yu would secure an absolute advantage in the early stages of the game.

“Servant, you order your master around so much; how do you intend to repay me?”

Dealing with these monsters wasn’t a problem, but Yin Feixue was starting to feel like she was being treated like the servant instead.

“Well, haven’t I already given myself to you?”

Qin Yu attempted to offer his own body as compensation; Yin Feixue didn’t reply, instead slowly drifting forward.

“When this is over, I’ll drain you dry.”

“…”

With a flash of movement, Yin Feixue entered the observatory.

Qin Yu could only shrug helplessly, watching her fight the monsters from a short distance away.

The Blood Observers wandering the observatory swarmed over the moment they saw an intruder, accompanied by their corrupted Star Magic.

The once-brilliant power of the stars had been converted into the power of the blood moon.

Waves of blood-moon radiance surged toward Yin Feixue.

“Bloodwood Coffin!”

Yin Feixue summoned the Bloodwood Coffin directly and stepped inside with a swift turn; the Blood Observers’ attacks all slammed into the coffin’s exterior.

In the next second, the Bloodwood Coffin swung open again, reflecting the attacks back at the observers.

In just one minute, more than half of the Blood Observers were dead or injured.

These creatures weren’t like that special Blood Bishop; they were merely ordinary Tier 5 and Tier 6 units.

While Tier 5 and 6 units were powerful to most, they were no match for Yin Feixue, a Tier 7 Fate-breaker who had awakened her Destined Relic.

Qin Yu observed the situation from the side.

Almost all the Blood Observers had swarmed out, which gave him the perfect opportunity to search the observatory for valuable items.

‘I should collect any books and the like…’

Qin Yu stashed the observatory’s books directly into his storage space.

They might be useful if he decided to form a mage legion later, though he currently preferred the idea of building a powerful puppet army like the Alchemists’ Union.

He only needed materials to generate sufficient combat power, allowing him to gain an absolute resource advantage in the early game before gradually transitioning into a stronger army later.

‘Even if I can’t use them, I can auction them off for high prices to those major guilds. After all, their funding is backed by national governments…’

In [Fate Paradise], the major guilds were backed by national interests; in his previous life, these guilds held immense power.

To them, minor characters like the old Qin Yu were merely cannon fodder—dispensable.

Qin Yu’s impression of these guilds was quite poor; he had no problem with peaceful development, but if they came looking for trouble, he would have to teach them a lesson.

After a quick sweep, Qin Yu actually found something: he collected ten complete sets of blue-quality [Observer Set].

The Observer Set was a “god-tier” item for magic classes; once equipped, one never had to worry about mana depletion.

Unfortunately, it was only blue-grade gear; it was legendary until Tier 6, but became quite mediocre afterward.

Still, many magic-class players treated it as an object of faith because of that mana regeneration.

“The price for this kind of special blue equipment would be at least ten thousand yuan per piece…”

A full set had five components, and a complete set would be even more expensive.

Selling a set of blue equipment for a hundred thousand yuan was considered incredible.

In his past life, once prices stabilized, a normal blue set wouldn’t even cost ten thousand.

But the mana regen of the Observer Set was a broken mechanic; in any other game, it would have been nerfed for not meeting expected performance values, but there was no such worry in [Fate Paradise].

Meanwhile, Yin Feixue’s battle had ended.

The ground was littered with the mangled corpses of the observers; their equipment had long since been smashed to pieces, but Qin Yu wasn’t picky.

He gathered everything—over thirty sets in total; once repaired, they could be sold for a good price.

“So, did you go back to picking up trash while I was fighting?”

Yin Feixue walked over slowly, holding [Blood Rose] as she asked.

“Don’t put it like that. I was looking for the capital for our future life together.”

No matter how nicely Qin Yu phrased it, Yin Feixue still saw it as trash-picking.

“It’s all settled. Can you tell me how to get to the Blood Moon now?”

The battle had left Yin Feixue feeling a bit fatigued; dealing with over thirty observers capable of damaging her had inevitably left her with a few scrapes.

“Of course. See that observatory tower? The way to the Blood Moon is inside.”

Qin Yu spoke like a riddler, revealing things one layer at a time.

Yin Feixue flew toward the tower without looking back, and Qin Yu quickened his pace to follow.

“Servant, do you have some kind of buff on you?”

Qin Yu had caught up to her quickly, which surprised Yin Feixue; she hadn’t noticed before, but his walking speed seemed exceptionally high.

“Do you want to see my title, Xiao Xue?”

He displayed the [Fastest Legend] title. Yin Feixue looked at it and then turned her face away.

“Your luck is certainly good.”

“It’s alright. Do you want to know what’s inside the tower, Xiao Xue?”

“Whatever is in there, it won’t be a match for me.”

Yin Feixue didn’t care about the upcoming enemies at all; she had absolute confidence in her own strength.

“That’s true for now, but if you hadn’t cleared out those Blood Observers outside just now, you wouldn’t have been a match for the guy inside…”

Qin Yu’s plans were always interconnected; the Tier 7 [Star Measurer] inside the tower was no joke.

In his previous life, this Star Measurer had crushed several major guilds, wiping out players dozens of times.

Back then, those guilds had plenty of Tier 7 players, yet they still faced total wipes repeatedly.

If someone hadn’t discovered the Star Measurer’s weakness, the progress of those guilds would have stalled right there.

As for the weakness, it was the Blood Observers outside; as long as they were present, the Star Measurer could limitlessly draw upon the power of the Blood Moon and was nearly impossible to kill.

To put it simply, as long as the minions were alive, the boss wouldn’t die.

Qin Yu was taking great advantage of the situation; during these first seven days of the launch, the monster count here wasn’t high.

In his past life, when the guilds reached the observatory, they had to face an army of thousands of observers.

The doors of the tower swung open.

A faint silver radiance shone down from the high ceiling, where a figure in silver priestly robes floated in mid-air, meditating.

“Who… goes there?”

Suddenly, the silver radiance was stained red by blood, along with the man’s robes.

Like the observers outside, this Star Measurer had also been corrupted by the power of the Evil Gods.

Yin Feixue refused to be outdone, and the powers of two Tier 7 beings clashed in the air…
