Chapter 30: Xiaoxue, My Superman

Luna’s moonlight attacks gradually whittled down the Amazon warriors’ HP to 30%, but this wasn’t enough for them to give up the fight.

Qin Yu and Luna rushed toward the Prophet at extreme speed and successfully took control of her.

Luna held a blade of moonlight against the Prophet’s throat.

The paper lanterns summoned by the [Lantern Festival under the Moon] converged around Luna, forming a defensive zone and blockade to prevent ranged attacks or the Prophet’s escape.

The moonlight attacks ceased.

Soon after, the other Amazon warriors stopped; their Prophet was now a hostage, forcing them to abandon the battle.

“Now, can we negotiate?”

Qin Yu’s main goal wasn’t just to talk terms but to wait for Yin Feixue’s arrival; without that, no amount of talk would matter.

“Man, if you think you can use me to threaten my clanswomen, it won’t work.”

“Is that so?”

The lunar blade in Luna’s hand cut into the skin of the Prophet’s throat, causing her health to continuously tick down.

“Release the Prophet!”

The lead Amazon warrior stepped forward to negotiate; it seemed the Prophet was indeed vital to them—even more important than all their previous sisters.

“Release the Prophet, and we will let you leave!”

The Amazon warrior who offered this thought Qin Yu would agree, but she forgot his actual purpose for coming here.

“Unfortunately, I’m not looking to escape; I want the entire Amazon tribe.”

“You!”

The standoff lasted for a long while.

“[Blood Swamp]!”

Suddenly, Yin Feixue’s voice rang out.

The village ground transformed into a swamp of blood, and the Amazon warriors were bound and restrained by shadow tentacles surging from within.

“Servant, it seems you aren’t a total failure after all.”

Seeing Yin Feixue by his side, Qin Yu finally breathed a sigh of relief; they were finally safe.

“Xiao Xue, my hero, your timing was perfect~”

“Hmph, clearly it was me just now…”

Seeing Yin Feixue steal the spotlight, Luna felt quite disgruntled.

She was the one who had fought herself to exhaustion, draining 80% of her mana to cast [Silent Moon] and [Lantern Festival under the Moon]; shouldn’t she get some credit for her hard work?

“Why do you think you’re in this mess in the first place?”

Hearing Luna’s complaint, Qin Yu gave her a firm flick on the forehead.

If she hadn’t thrown the fight earlier, he wouldn’t have had to risk his life alone.

“I…”

Luna wanted to argue, but she was too guilt-ridden to speak.

“However, you did help a lot just now, so let’s call it making amends for your past mistake.”

Qin Yu smiled and patted Luna’s head.

Luna felt slightly better after that.

“Hmph, as long as you know…”

Don Quixote and the other four girls arrived to find that Yin Feixue had already subdued the enemies, leaving them to marvel at Qin Yu’s luck in finding such a powerful “carry.”

“Are Tier 7s really this strong? There are nearly a hundred people here, aren’t there?”

“I read online that in this game, only those at Tier 7 are truly treated as ‘human’; the existence of a Destined Relic is what distinguishes a person from an ant.”

Sugar felt fortunate that she had obtained an Aptitude 7 template; reaching Tier 7 should be relatively smooth for her.

The Prophet hesitated after seeing the power Yin Feixue unleashed.

A Tier 7 Fate-breaker who had awakened a Destined Relic was absolutely not something their small tribe could provoke.

Even if the entire tribe attacked together, they could only hope to graze her, whereas they would lose every single clanswoman’s life in return.

This was the terrifying nature of tier suppression, especially after Tier 7; a Tier 7 powerhouse with a Destined Relic could hold back ten thousand armies.

“I am willing to agree to your terms, but you must ensure the safety of my people…”

Under these circumstances, the Prophet had no choice but to concede.

“I’ll return your own words to you: you are currently nothing more than our prisoner, with no room to negotiate.”

Qin Yu returned the Prophet’s earlier taunt word-for-word.

“…”

The Prophet felt helpless; it was true—everything she had said earlier was now being thrown back in her face.

“Then what exactly do you want?”

“Absolute loyalty.”

To build a powerful army, loyalty was a necessity.

In this regard, the Undead were an excellent model, as they were absolutely loyal to their master, whereas armies of other races would more or less have their own ideas.

“I understand…”

Survival of the race was more important than pride.

By swearing a blood oath and signing an irreversible soul contract, the Amazon tribe now belonged entirely to Qin Yu.

Emerging from the swamp, Qin Yu needed to find a suitable location nearby to place the Territory Core.

He sent Don Quixote, Rock Sugar Pear, and the others to search for a spot, to prevent them from complaining about the location later.

Effectively, anywhere in this area could serve as the placement range for the Territory Core.

Eventually, Sugar and the others found a spot near a lake to serve as their territory.

“There’s a lake, not bad. I’ll begin then.”

Qin Yu took out the Territory Core and set it at the center of the lake.

[Territory Core successfully placed!]

[Please select your desired subjects from the Divine Realms!]

After establishing a territory in the Main World, one could obtain subjects from the Divine Realms through the system.

For example, if you chose Avalon, you would get faeries or wood elves.

If you chose the Realm of the Dead, you would get zombies or skeletons.

If you chose Dragonia, you would get dragonborn, and so on.

Logically, one should choose a powerful Divine Realm, and many people in his previous life thought this way, only to end up in a tragic state.

If your territory was trash, the subjects from the Divine Realm would look down on their Lord.

Slacking off or leaving was the least of the worries; in many cases, they would turn on the Lord and seize the territory.

There was no actual contract between the Lord and these subjects; they were simply assigned based on the rules of the game.

The Lord had an obligation to maintain good relationships with them; essentially, it was a relationship of mutual benefit.

This wasn’t just a simple game world, but a real alternate world governed by rules set by the gods for their own games; only the winner could become the Prime God.

Furthermore, the stronger the subjects, the fewer their numbers; conversely, the weaker the subjects, the more there were.

For example, choosing the Realm of the Dead might bring fifty Tier 1 skeletons and ten Tier 2 zombies, whereas choosing Dragonia might only bring three Tier 3 dragonborn.

In the early stages of territory construction, a large amount of manpower was needed, and powerful subjects wouldn’t necessarily be willing to do manual labor.

As for refugees, there were simply too many unstable factors.

Subjects from the Divine Realms were distributed on a monthly cycle, and the quantity was linked to the level of the territory, ranging from Level 1 to 10.

Territory upgrades were based on three aspects: the number of unit structures, the size of the army, and the quality of the army.

For a territory at Level N (where N is a natural number from 1 to 9).

To upgrade from N to N+1, the required number of unit structures was N+1, while army quantity and quality were separate requirements.

For example: To reach Level 2: 2 unit structures required; army requirements are 50 Tier 1 units and 25 Tier 2 units.

To reach Level 3: 3 unit structures required; army requirements are 150 Tier 1 units, 50 Tier 2 units, and 10 Tier 3 units.

Similarly to reach Level 10: 10 unit structures required; army requirements are 10,000 Tier 1 units, 10,000 Tier 2 units, 8,000 Tier 3 units, 3,000 Tier 4 units, 1,000 Tier 5 units, 500 Tier 6 units, and 100 Tier 7 units.
