Chapter 5: A Bountiful Harvest

The silver-haired girl who emerged from the Bloodwood coffin was staring intently at Qin Yu with her deep crimson eyes, which held a hint of threat.

She wanted to see through him.

However, in Qin Yu’s eyes, she saw no trace of a lie.

Either he was a master of deception, or he was telling the truth.

As for whether she had told the incantation to anyone else—how could she not know the answer to that?

Furthermore, the Blood Alliance Oath required more than just the general incantation; there was also a specific, private spell unique to each individual vampire.

This unique spell was known only to the vampire themselves, used for the Blood Alliance Oath only after they had found the one they loved.

In other words, in almost every case, the Blood Alliance Oath was initiated by the vampire upon the other party.

Yet the situation was reversed here, making it utterly perplexing.

“Human, I will temporarily overlook the fact that you unilaterally established a Blood Alliance Oath with me. Tell me, what is your name?”

“Qin Yu.”

The silver-haired girl descended from mid-air and landed in front of Qin Yu, scrutinizing him closely.

“Yin Feixue. Remember it well, for it is the name of your master—and your lover.”

The girl tilted Qin Yu’s chin up and lightly pressed her lips against his; from this moment on, their Blood Alliance Oath was officially finalized.

[Congratulations! You have established a Blood Alliance Oath with the Blood Clan Empress: Yin Feixue!]

[Name: Yin Feixue]

[Identity: Blood Clan Empress]

[Strength: Tier 7]

[Aptitude: 9]

[Destined Relic: Bloodwood Coffin (Orange, Sacred Object)]

[Affinity: 10]

[Contract: Blood Alliance Oath (Target: Qin Yu)]

The information regarding Yin Feixue appeared before Qin Yu’s eyes; finally, he had met his beloved once again.

He also felt the softness of her lips once more.

Just as Qin Yu wanted to take it a step further, Yin Feixue proactively pulled away.

“Xiao Xue…”

Qin Yu used the name he had called her by in his previous life.

“Human, your form of address is quite unexpected. Is it because of my current petite body?”

Yin Feixue didn’t know why Qin Yu called her that; she assumed his use of “Xiao” was due to her current petite, “loli” frame.

“No, it’s just that I’m used to calling you that…”

To Yin Feixue, Qin Yu’s words seemed like he was flirting with her, so she didn’t press the matter further.

Watching from a distance, Sugar didn’t dare approach, fearing she might disturb the two who seemed to be in the middle of a romantic moment.

Qin Yu looked at Yin Feixue’s affinity bar; it was a measly ten points.

There was no helping it; he was essentially “wooing his wife” all over again in this rebirth and had to take it one step at a time.

Besides, this start was much better than when he had first met her in his previous life.

In his past life, Yin Feixue’s initial affinity toward him was -1, and they had originally signed a Master-Servant contract where she was the master and he was the servant.

As for Yin Feixue’s other attributes, they were also significantly higher than when he had first encountered her.

In his previous life, Qin Yu had chosen the Beastkin Capital at the start and only stumbled upon Yin Feixue in the Blood Soul Realm during the mid-to-late game.

Back then, the Blood Soul Realm was nowhere near as peaceful or safe as it was now.

The seven-day launch event provided players with maximum convenience, allowing them to roam the Divine Realms with ease.

Although the Blood Soul Realm seemed dangerous now, it was nothing compared to what it would become in the late game.

In the late-game Blood Soul Realm, if you were a solo player without Tier 7 strength, it would be very easy to end up dead.

Right now, this was essentially the tutorial phase.

“Um, you t-w-o… can I… c-o-m-e over now…?”

Sugar called out from the distance in a soft, drawn-out voice.

Yin Feixue’s gaze landed on Sugar; her glowing crimson pupils could instill primal fear in lower beings, causing Sugar to tremble uncontrollably.

“Xiao Xue, she’s not an enemy.”

Qin Yu quickly stopped Yin Feixue’s mental assault; if it went on any longer, he was genuinely afraid Sugar might wet herself.

The glowing pupils dimmed as Yin Feixue ceased her Blood Fear attack.

Sugar slumped to the ground, her body still twitching occasionally; this girl was simply too terrifying.

“Are you okay?”

Qin Yu walked over and politely extended his hand; Sugar looked up and placed her trembling hand in his, and he pulled her to her feet.

“I’m… fine…”

She said she was fine, but anyone could see she was still scared to death.

Usually so confident, she only dared to keep her head down in front of Yin Feixue; the pressure from this NPC was just too overwhelming.

“Glad to hear it. As compensation for the scare, everything here belongs to you—provided you can find it. We’ll be heading off now.”

Qin Yu left Sugar there, taking Yin Feixue as he prepared to depart; he couldn’t bring Sugar along anymore, as the tasks ahead were strictly for him and Yin Feixue.

“Wait a second!”

Sugar wanted to ask Qin Yu to add her as a friend, but Yin Feixue was the first to turn around, giving her a glare that sent Sugar recoiling several steps back, too terrified to speak.

“What is it?”

Seeing Sugar in such a state, Qin Yu had to suppress his laughter as he asked.

“Could we… add each other as friends?”

Sugar asked tremulously, turning her face away, not daring to look in Yin Feixue’s direction at all.

“Actually, let’s not. We’ll meet again if it’s fated. If I run into you a second time, I’ll add you.”

Waving his hand as he spoke, Qin Yu and Yin Feixue left the Nameless Graveyard, leaving a bewildered Sugar standing in the wind.

“Dammit…!”

Sugar clenched her fists, feeling a bit angry; she suddenly felt like she had been abandoned.

Was she really that much of a burden?

She was a genius PVP player in esports, for heaven’s sake!

And yet she had been scared witless by that NPC just now—it was humiliating.

The mere thought of her pathetic display made her want to crawl into a hole and hide.

“Fine. He said everything here is mine. If there are good items, I’ll forgive him. But if it’s all junk, I’m definitely going to beat him up the next time we meet!”

Sugar made a silent vow—though, of course, that “evil woman” (referring to Yin Feixue) couldn’t be there.

“Wait, these items are…”

As Sugar endured the nausea to scavenge the loot in the graveyard, her eyes suddenly glazed over…

Having left the graveyard, Qin Yu and Yin Feixue came face-to-face with the swarm of monsters that had been drawn by the graveyard’s recent anomaly.

This mob, consisting of many Tier 1 and 2 monsters along with a few Tier 3 and 4 ones, would be a certain death sentence for any current player who encountered it.

But Qin Yu was different; he was accompanied by a Tier 7 Blood Clan Empress, making dealing with these monsters child’s play.

“Servant, do you require me to act?”

Yin Feixue began calling Qin Yu “servant,” just as she had during the period when they first met in his previous life.

“Xiao Xue, we’ve signed a Blood Alliance Oath, after all. Who calls their own lover a servant?”

“To me, it’s about the same.”

“About the same,” indeed. Qin Yu was well-accustomed to this personality of hers.

“Now, become shadows of blood.”

A swamp of blood appeared beneath the monsters’ feet, and bloody tentacles surged upward to drag the swarms into the depths; items and equipment began to drop from them in massive quantities.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Qin Yu reaped a bountiful harvest…
