Captured by the Tier 5 Amazon warrior, Qin Yu was already contemplating how to teach Luna a lesson.
That girl actually had the nerve to blatantly throw the fight without even using a skill; if he didn’t discipline her, she wouldn’t know who the master was.
Swinging through the trees on vines, Qin Yu was brought into the Amazon village.
Roughly a hundred Amazon women lived here.
“Leisha, where did you catch this man from?”
“Where are the others?”
As the villagers swarmed around him upon his return, Qin Yu felt a prickle of danger; he hoped Yin Feixue and the others would hurry, or they’d be collecting his corpse.
Of course, that was a joke—in a worst-case scenario, he could just log off and hide, though he’d still be stuck here when he logged back in and couldn’t contact Yin Feixue, which would be a hassle.
He couldn’t use teleportation items at the moment, so it seemed he’d have to rely on his looks and eloquence to win them over.
“The others were imprisoned by this man’s companions; I escaped while they weren’t looking and snatched him as well.”
The Amazon warriors glared at Qin Yu with resentment, furious that they had lost so many sisters.
“We must torture him later! We can’t let him die easily!”
Listening to these Amazon warriors shouting about how they’d do him in, Qin Yu could only pray silently for Yin Feixue to come to the rescue.
Amidst the righteous indignation, a woman dressed as a priestess emerged from a tent; unlike the other warriors, she wore tattered robes and a strange mask.
Her face was hidden, but based on her curvaceous figure, she looked to be in her thirties.
The Amazon warriors respectfully cleared a path for her.
“Prophet!”
The woman called the “Prophet” leaned on a goat-skull staff, walked up to Qin Yu, and observed him closely for a long time.
“Strange…”
She leaned down so far that Qin Yu could see quite a lot of her figure; his only hope now was that there wasn’t an ugly face behind that mask…
“Man, I actually cannot see through your fate…”
‘Is this woman the spokesperson for this tribe?’ Qin Yu wondered.
“Are you the one in charge of this tribe?” Qin Yu asked.
“Yes, and no. I am merely managing this place temporarily…”
“That makes things easier. I mean no harm; I came here simply to collaborate with you…”
Qin Yu explained his plan to the Prophet once more.
“A Territory Core?”
The Prophet was somewhat moved by his words; if things were as he described, the Amazon tribe could use this chance to become powerful.
With a Territory Core, they wouldn’t need to rely on primitive methods to grow their numbers.
“Man, your offer is indeed tempting, but why should we trust you? You are currently nothing more than our prisoner, with no room to negotiate.”
The Prophet was right; currently, Qin Yu had no means of self-defense, and a prisoner had no room to talk business.
“That’s not necessarily true…”
Qin Yu let out a cold laugh, and suddenly his figure vanished, sinking into the shadows.
“Where did he go?”
The Prophet and the other warriors were stunned; such a large man had simply vanished right before their eyes.
Qin Yu had used the [Fade into Shadow] skill he’d obtained from the Shadow Sprints to break free from his bonds.
However, this could only last for five seconds; once the time was up, he would reappear and find himself in trouble again.
He still had one more charge of [Fade into Shadow] left.
Five seconds passed quickly, and Qin Yu reappeared.
“He’s over there!”
An Amazon warrior reacted instantly and pounced toward him.
“[Shadow Step]!”
Qin Yu’s speed suddenly surged as he evaded the attack; the other warriors also reacted and tried to grab him, but Qin Yu dodged them one by one.
The Prophet raised her staff, seemingly about to cast a spell; green, thorny vines suddenly erupted from the ground to block Qin Yu’s movement.
“Luna, respond to my call!”
At this point, Qin Yu could only try a forced summon; as long as Luna wasn’t too far away, she could come and draw some aggro for him.
Guided by one of the captured Amazon warriors, Yin Feixue and the others were heading deep into the swamp.
‘That guy is summoning me…’
Although Luna was extremely annoyed, she had to respond; the restrictions within her body left her no choice.
“If anything happens to my servant, I’ll take you apart into ten thousand pieces.”
Yin Feixue didn’t forget to threaten Luna as they accelerated.
Seeing Luna appear, Qin Yu let out a sigh of relief; the fact she could be summoned meant they weren’t too far away, which implied Yin Feixue was also on her way.
“I’ll overlook the fact that you threw the fight for now. Let’s resolve the matter at hand first.”
Saying this, Qin Yu began doing what an alchemist should: controlling his combat automaton to fight, ensuring Luna couldn’t slack off again.
“I know! I know!”
Luna snapped back irritably; currently at Tier 4, she had to face a group of Tier 4 and Tier 2 Amazon warriors—getting hit was inevitable.
“If you behave, I’m confident I can help you defeat them without a scratch.”
Qin Yu entered a state of synchronization with Luna, allowing him to control her movements.
“[Lantern Festival under the Moon]!”
Paper lanterns emitting a ghostly blue light manifested around Luna, drifting outward to form a small domain.
The Prophet was startled by the sight; an automaton that wasn’t particularly strong was actually using a domain skill.
One had to know that such skills weren’t necessarily mastered even at Tier 7…
This was Luna’s current advantage; though weakened, she could still use some powerful skills, though their potency was nowhere near her full state.
Within this incomplete domain, Luna’s combat power surged and her movement speed increased.
“[Silent Moon]!”
As a Moon God, Luna excelled in magical combat; countless rays of moonlight rained down, launching an undiscriminating attack on the Amazon warriors within the domain.
The Amazon women were truly born warriors; they reacted instantly, blocking the moonlight with their shields, while the blowgunners fired poisoned darts at Luna.
With her speed buffed by the domain, Luna easily evaded wave after wave of darts, counterattacking the distant blowgunners with moonlight.
Qin Yu wasn’t exempt from being targeted; fortunately, [Shadow Step] allowed him to dodge several threatening attacks.
He had to control Luna while ensuring his own safety, leaving him somewhat overwhelmed.
‘Capture the leader to catch the bandits…’
Qin Yu set his sights on the Prophet; holding her hostage would force the tribe to stop. He couldn’t threaten her himself, but Luna could.
Consequently, the two of them moved in sync toward the Prophet…
