Join the Server“Who… are you?”
A heavy, excruciating throb pulsed through Ye Feng’s skull, rendering his vision a blurry haze. Through the dim light, he caught the faint motion of an object swaying rhythmically back and forth before his eyes, accompanied by an intensely persuasive, silky female voice echoing in his ears.
Who was he?
Ye Feng tried to grasp at the thought. He searched his mind, reaching into the foggy void, but found nothing. It felt as though an invisible barrier was actively blocking his cognitive faculties, preventing him from retrieving his own identity.
Since he couldn’t generate the answer himself, he decided to ask the voice. Perhaps she held the key.
“Who… am I?”
His raspy, fragile whisper reached a woman clad in a white medical coat. She was steadily swinging a vintage silver pocket watch back and forth in front of his unfocused gaze.
The woman’s lips curled into a subtle, knowing smile. When she spoke again, her tone was heavily layered with hypnotic suggestion:
“You are Murong Fanghua’s boyfriend. Every fraction of your existence belongs to Murong Fanghua. You adore her. You will love her for eternity.”
Ye Feng shook his head weakly. Murong Fanghua? Who is Murong Fanghua? Is she the one I love?
Yet, he felt zero emotional resonance with that name. The person he truly loved, the one buried deep in his heart… wasn’t her. But who was it? Who was that woman?
The harder he struggled to remember, the more violent the headache became. He desperately wanted to recall her face, her name, but his mind remained a complete blank. Why was this happening to him?
“Who… is Murong Fanghua?”
“She is your master. She is your absolute everything. You love her. You cherish everything about her, and your only desire is to stay forever by her side…”
“No… no, that’s not right. My master is… wait, no. Who is she? Who is my master?!”
Realizing that probing his own memory yielded only agonizing pain, he opened his mouth once more, desperately pleading for the hypnotist to provide the missing truth.
“You are Murong Fanghua’s boyfriend. You love her. You belong to her.”
“Who… is Murong Fanghua?”
He genuinely couldn’t remember. The name was completely alien, belonging to a stranger he had never met. If she was a stranger, why did this voice keep insisting that he belonged to her? Why… why couldn’t he remember the real person?
Suddenly, the swaying object vanished. In its place, a crisp photograph was held directly before his eyes. Slowly, the features of the woman in the picture aligned and focused within his pupils.
“Is… is she Murong Fanghua?”
Ye Feng shook his head slightly, staring at the photograph. He felt only an icy detachment; he was certain he had never laid eyes on this woman before. Yet why was the voice so persistent in claiming she was his… master?
“Is it complete?”
Qingning stepped forward, casting a quick glance at Ye Feng—who sat on the bed with his eyes half-closed, suspended in a semi-conscious trance—before turning to the hypnotist in the white coat.
“I need a few more moments. His conscious willpower isn’t particularly strong, but there’s a deeply rooted obsession embedded in his subconscious. It’s proving a bit stubborn to overwrite.”
“Expedite the process. The Young Miss can’t stall them downstairs indefinitely.”
“Understood. Relax—give me sixty seconds.”
The hypnotist nodded, retrieving the pocket watch once more and positioning it directly in front of the photograph.
The moment the metallic rhythm resumed, Ye Feng’s briefly clearing consciousness collapsed back into a foggy abyss. The name Murong Fanghua was systematically carved deeper and deeper into his core mental pathways.
Finally, a faint, monotone string of words escaped Ye Feng’s pale lips:
“Murong Fanghua is my master. I love her… I am willing to dedicate everything to her… I want to remain by her side forever.”
“Murong Fanghua is my master. I love her… I am willing to dedicate everything to her… I want to remain by her side forever.”
“Murong Fanghua is my master. I love her… I am willing to dedicate everything to her… I want to remain by her side forever.”
He repeated the exact phrase over and over like a broken automaton. Only after he had recited it more than ten times did the woman in the white coat finally pocket her watch. A smug, triumphant smirk spread across her face—no target had ever escaped her psychological reconditioning.
Never.
Clap! Clap!
Murong Fanghua lightly struck her palms together. Under the shocked, disbelieving gazes of Mu Yuchen and Du Xiaowen, the side door opened, and Ye Feng was slowly led into the room.
The newly brought-out Ye Feng allowed his vacant, glassy eyes to hover briefly over Mu Yuchen and Murong Fanghua. Then, with slow, mechanical steps, he walked straight past Mu Yuchen, taking a seat directly beside Murong Fanghua.
“What did you do to him?!”
Mu Yuchen glared at the boy, her chest tightening painfully. When Ye Feng had bypassed her completely to sit next to her rival, a sharp, cold knife seemed to twist inside her heart.
“What did I do? What could I possibly have done?” Murong Fanghua smiled smoothly, using a slender finger to gently lift Ye Feng’s chin. “He simply desires to be near me of his own free will. Isn’t that right, little pet?”
Truth be told, this was Murong Fanghua’s very first time seeing the young man in person. He was even more breathtakingly adorable than she had envisioned—flawless porcelain skin, delicately carved facial features, eyes like deep blue sapphires, and soft, rosy cheeks that looked as though a gentle pinch would yield water. He was, in every sense, her ultimate ideal.
“I am… willing to stay… by Master’s side,” Ye Feng murmured, his voice completely flat and devoid of emotion. He tilted his head, leaning intimately against Murong Fanghua’s shoulder.
“See? Did you hear that, Miss Mu? He’s quite eager to remain with me.”
“That’s impossible! You must have used some dark trickery on him!”
“No! Stay away from him! Don’t leave me, Ye Feng! No, NO!”
Before Mu Yuchen could press further, an unhinged, hysterical screech cut through the room. A figure charged forward like a frantic predator, hurling herself straight at Ye Feng.
Just as she was about to tackle him, Qingning materialized out of nowhere, delivering a brutal, sweeping kick straight into Du Xiaowen’s chest, sending the secretary flying backward onto the hard floor.
Du Xiaowen’s eyes were bloodshot and vacant, her hands clawing mindlessly at the carpet. She scrambled back to her feet, preparing to launch another insane assault, but a heavy tactical boot stomped down squarely onto her back, pinning her flat and neutralizing any further movement.
Murong Fanghua frowned subtly. Even she had been startled by the sheer, unprovoked violence of Du Xiaowen’s ambush—it was entirely unhinged, completely lacking tactical logic.
Even Mu Yuchen was momentarily stunned. She was well aware of Du Xiaowen’s dark fixation on Ye Feng, but she hadn’t anticipated her secretary would lose her mind so completely in public. She was behaving like an absolute feral beast!
Beside Murong Fanghua, Ye Feng’s frame shivered violently. He harbored an instinctual, conditioning-level terror of Du Xiaowen—especially in this frantic state. Driven by pure biological self-preservation, he leaned even closer into Murong Fanghua’s side, seeking shelter from the threat.
However, through Mu Yuchen’s eyes, that subtle movement looked entirely like a deliberate, affectionate shift toward her rival. She had tried to rationalize his spoken words as the result of mind control, but seeing him actively cuddle into another woman’s embrace shattered her last defense.
“Ye Feng… you…”
Mu Yuchen wanted to call his name, to demand an explanation, but watching him nestle so comfortably against Murong Fanghua, the words died in her throat.
Right at that tense stalemate, the heavy double doors were thrown open once more, and Mu Yutong burst into the suite out of breath.
“Sister! How is Ye Feng—”
The words froze in her mouth the second her eyes landed on the scene before her.
“Sister… what is happening here?”
Mu Yutong turned to her older sister in complete shock, desperate for an explanation.
But Mu Yuchen remained frozen, her eyes locked onto Ye Feng with a mixture of heartbreak and disbelief, completely incapable of offering an answer.
Failing to get a response from her sister, Mu Yutong snapped her head toward Murong Fanghua, her voice rising in anger:
“What did you do to Ye Feng?!”
“Why do you two sisters always ask the exact same uninspired question?” Murong Fanghua sighed dramatically, casually reaching out to stroke Ye Feng’s hair. “Can’t you come up with something original? As I’ve already stated, I did nothing to him. He simply likes me and wants to stay by my side.”
“You… total BULLSHIT!”
