Join the ServerThe girl in armor standing before me must be the Holy Knight the Young Master mentioned… Although she was clad in armor, I could still tell from her voice that she was quite young…
“Are you a Holy Knight?” I asked, even though I had already deduced it.
“Mm… sort of… a mid-rank Holy Knight, hehe… I guess that counts as a Holy Knight…” She chuckled. Though I couldn’t see her face, she had to be a cute girl.
“Where is the Young Master?”
“She went to a family meeting. Didn’t she tell you? Oh, right—she asked me to give you this.” She pulled a cylindrical, silver-white bottle from behind her back. Through the bottle, I smelled a familiar scent… Was this an upgraded version of that blood container? But what caught my attention more was the family meeting. I was very curious about that. Why didn’t she tell me clearly again? That Fuwelle…
I reached out and took the bottle. It was indeed a bit heavy. I set it firmly on the ground.
“Thanks.”
I turned around, only to find He Yizi standing by the door, staring at me.
“I smelled blood inside. Where is it? Where?”
I whipped my head back toward the Holy Knight at the door. Could it be that the Young Master hadn’t told her we were vampires?
In an instant, the air froze. The knight watched me, then pushed the door open and stepped out. Seeing the Holy Knight at the entrance, she froze just like me.
“Silver-white hair, crimson eyes, blood… haha…” She suddenly burst out laughing, breaking the momentary stillness. He Yizi and I simply stared at her, dumbfounded.
“So the cute dangerous creatures the Young Master mentioned are two little vampires like you? Haha…”
Suddenly, He Yizi pushed the door open fully. “What do you mean ‘little’? I’m over a hundred years old, you know! Hmph!”
The Holy Knight pointed at the bottle.
“Using this container meant for precious potions to hold Dragon’s Breath Blood Tree sap is such a waste…”
“Are you even listening to me?” He Yizi fumed.
“Sorry, sorry! Miss Fuwelle must have her reasons. If you can’t lift it in, let me help.”
“Hey! I can do it myself. I don’t need help from lowly humans.”
She shoved past me, lifted the huge bottle with one hand, carried it into the room, and then ran back out.
“See? I don’t need your help!”
With that, she dashed back inside. I stood awkwardly at the door, about to speak, when a ray of crimson light shone through the window behind her, followed by a cloud of black mist. As the mist cleared, a mysterious figure stood by the window.
The Holy Knight turned, drew her longsword, and held it tightly with both hands, pointing at the intruder.
“Is He Yizi here?”
Suddenly, He Yizi peeked her head out from the side. The figure spotted her and began walking over.
“So you are here. Entering my territory—you know what happens, don’t you?”
She seemed to ignore the Holy Knight with her sword, walking straight down the corridor.
“Stop! If you come any closer, I’ll…”
“Shut up, foolish human. Blood clan matters are none of your concern. Move aside.”
As she slowly approached, stepping under the light, I finally saw her clearly. She was even shorter than me—a girl who looked younger than both He Yizi and me, almost like an elementary school student. But her hair was also silver-white like ours. It was hard to believe she was the one who had torn a hole in He Yizi’s stomach.
“If you insist on coming, then I’ll entertain you.”
With that, the knight charged forward with her sword.
“Clang—”
