Join the ServerIt was pitch black, but I could tell from the jolting that I was still in the carriage from earlier. Suddenly, a hand grabbed mine.
“Ah”
“Is little Chuye awake?”
Someone leaned toward me. A wave of alarm hit me. I moved back and bumped into something soft.
Then arms wrapped around me from both sides.
“Chuye?”
Light appeared around me. Fuwelle, the Young Master, was looking at me curiously. I turned and saw Kelo, while He Yizi was leaning against the wall, asleep. The light came from a crystal ball floating in the air. Xiao Linlin was standing there touching it.
Kelo buried her nose in my hair and sniffed. “It still smells like Chuye.”
I quickly broke free and sat back in the center seat.
“How about… sleeping a bit more? We still have some distance to the academy!”
Xiao Linlin looked at me. Given how lethargic I was during the day, I had no reason to refuse.
“Alright…”
I had just closed my eyes when I noticed something wrong. My eyes snapped open. The clothes on my body had been changed from the maid outfit Xiao Linlin made for me into a school uniform. They must have changed me while I was unconscious… But… hah… it didn’t matter much… I was too sleepy anyway.
I closed my eyes and fell asleep again. When I opened them next time, only the Young Master was sitting in the carriage.
“Awake again? I don’t have any classes today, so I’ll keep you company?”
“Don’t I have classes?”
“Excited?”
“Kind of…”
“Your schedule is still being arranged, so nothing today.”
The Young Master touched her hair, took out a hair tie, and brushed her hair into a high ponytail. Then she smoothed her bangs and reached out to pat my head.
“Since they’re not here, I get to monopolize you for the whole day. Let me take you to explore the school!”
“I’m not a tool…”
“Hehehe… you’re my lover, right, dear?” She grinned at me.
She draped a large sun cloak over me.
“I’ve noticed you really like saying things that… leave people at a loss…”
I muttered quietly, but she took my hand, opened the umbrella, and pushed open the carriage door.
Today, my body didn’t react much. I looked around. It was overcast. Just as I was about to step out from under the umbrella, the Young Master grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back.
“No, even on cloudy days it’s not allowed. Come on, I’ll show you some interesting places in the school.”
“Uh… okay.”
I followed her into building after building full of various instruments. It was very different from my original world. This world didn’t use electricity, magic drove the instruments.
This school was like something out of those anime I used to watch.
The Young Master led me along the school’s paths, wandering aimlessly.
“Young Master, what impression do you have of your mother?” I casually tossed out a topic I was interested in.
“Hmm… she was very gentle. The kind of gentle that would give up everything for others.”
“Gentle?”
That gentle? But then why would such a gentle person betray her country?
“Just like I said before, as gentle as little Chuye. Your eyes are similar.”
I was still wondering why her mother would betray the country.
“Little Chuye?”
“Ah! I… I was thinking… am I really that gentle?” I made up an excuse to brush it off.
“Super gentle! I can feel it!”
