We both turned around. Kelo stood at the door, her school uniform covered in dirt and smelling of blood. She said she’d been looking for us, but the blood and grime on her were what really caught my attention. And where was Ke Ying?
“Who are you calling a little one? I’m over a hundred years old! Why does everyone say I’m small?”
He Yizi said angrily beside me.
“Um… Kelo, what’s with your clothes?”
