Just a short nap, then.
I don’t know how long passed before I slowly opened my eyes. I found myself leaning my head against her shoulder. I jerked upright. She was looking at me with a puzzled expression.
“Um… thank you… for letting me lean on you.”

As she spoke, she handed me the umbrella that had been on her right side.
