Chapter 65: A Decisive Strike

After Big Gold Tooth informed me we’d reached our destination, I nodded at him, then promptly opened the car door and stepped out.

As I stepped out of the car, my sister and Big Gold Tooth’s trio quickly followed, gathering around me with uncertain expressions as they voiced their questions.

“Brother Bai, now that we’ve arrived at our destination, what should we do next?”

“Exactly! Just give the word, Brother Bai, and us three brothers will gladly be the vanguard, eliminating all the guards at the gate to prove our loyalty.”

“Yes, now that we’ve decided to follow Brother Bai, we won’t harbor any second thoughts.”

“No need, I already have a plan.”

Observing the excited expressions on the faces of Big Gold Tooth and his companions, I shook my head, indicating there was no need for them to clear the path just yet.

However, after I spoke, Big Gold Tooth and the others looked at me with confusion, unsure of my intentions or how I planned to deal with Brother Li.

“Brother Bai, could you tell us… what you intend to do?”

“What else? We’ll simply fight our way in.”

I smiled as I spoke, then, ignoring the bewildered looks on Big Gold Tooth’s face and the others, I immediately strode towards the factory gates.

Upon exiting the car, Bai Han directly walked towards the factory’s entrance.

The two guards stationed at the factory gate had long since noticed Bai Han’s group. Just as they were about to approach and question them, they saw the newcomers willingly deliver themselves to the gates.

Especially with a sweet and lovely beauty among them, the two men’s faces lit up with anticipation, eagerly awaiting these people to fall into their trap.

A beauty of such celestial caliber would undoubtedly be offered to Brother Li. However, Brother Li had many women now, so he probably wouldn’t care about just one. Once Brother Li grew tired of her, she would likely be rewarded to the brothers below for their enjoyment.

It was similar to the guy Brother Li had sent to feed the zombies previously. Although he wasn’t young, he had a wife as beautiful as a blooming flower.

Yet, his wife was still defiled by Brother Li, and then passed around to several of them. But before they could fully satisfy themselves, the woman took her own life.

To this day, they still felt a twinge of regret!

As the guard’s thoughts drifted, Bai Han’s group quickly reached the two guards.

“Hehehe, what are you doing here… Big Gold Tooth, is that you? Have you completed the task Brother Li assigned you? If you fail this time, be careful, Brother Li might feed you to the zombies.”

“Hmph, my affairs are none of your business.”

Big Gold Tooth’s face immediately soured upon seeing that the gatekeeper was none other than Zhang Er, the lecherous.

Though they were all subordinates under Brother Li, Big Gold Tooth and his two sworn brothers were different from a scoundrel like Zhang Er, who only knew how to violate women.

Even the mission to capture Bai Xia was initiated because Brother Li had previously ordered Big Gold Tooth to pick up a female celebrity. During the pickup, he learned that the celebrity was unaware of Brother Li’s true nature.

She had only contacted him through a live stream, believing that Brother Li’s factory could offer her protection.

Perhaps the celebrity’s appearance was as pure as a white flower, or perhaps he simply didn’t wish to harm her. After much deliberation, Big Gold Tooth ultimately revealed the potential consequences to her.

However, once the celebrity arrived at the factory, she immediately reported everything to Brother Li.

Because of this, Little Seven and Curly were nearly thrown directly to the zombies by Brother Li. It was only after Big Gold Tooth knelt on the ground, snot and tears streaming down his face, begging Brother Li, that the two were released.

Big Gold Tooth, Little Seven, and Curly had grown up together since childhood, their bond so deep they were practically inseparable.

After Big Gold Tooth knelt, Brother Li agreed to spare them but immediately gave him a new mission.

This task was for the trio to bring Bai Xia back. If they failed, they were to die outside.

Brother Li’s words had to be obeyed, so Big Gold Tooth and his two companions went to Bai Xia’s home. Yet, after only a moment of hesitation at the door, Bai Xia threw open a window and screamed loudly, attracting zombies to her doorstep.

Consequently, Big Gold Tooth and his companions were trapped in a tree until Bai Han returned.

As for Zhang Er, besides constantly currying favor with Brother Li, he would harbor ill intentions and assault any young, pretty woman he encountered.

This disgusted Big Gold Tooth, leading to their generally poor relationship.

“Hey! You’ve certainly grown some guts after this trip, kid. Be careful, I’ll tell Brother Li…”

Zhang Er’s words abruptly ceased, his face freezing in an expression of terror. He stared wide-eyed at Bai Han and the others, fear filling his gaze.

Unbeknownst to them, Bai Han had already drawn the blade from his waist. With a casual flick of the knife in his right hand, he then deftly shook his wrist, swiftly flicking the fresh blood from the blade.

By the time Bai Han had cleared the blood from his knife, the horrified expressions on Zhang Er and his companion’s faces remained, but their heads suddenly split in two, falling from their bodies to roll on the ground, covered in dirt.

It turned out that while Zhang Er and Big Gold Tooth were bickering, Bai Han, growing impatient, had swiftly attacked, cutting down Zhang Er and his companion with a single strike.

Having grown accustomed to cleaving open zombie heads and extracting crystal cores in the apocalypse, Bai Han’s attack on Zhang Er was executed with the same practiced ease, directly splitting their heads.

After drawing his blade, Bai Han did not return it to his waist. Instead, he held the knife in his right hand and continued walking deeper into the factory.

Behind him, Big Gold Tooth and his two companions were utterly stunned by Bai Han’s decisive actions.

That had been a killing! Bai Han was only a teenager, how could he kill so readily?

If, upon their first meeting, Bai Han had simply cut them down with a single strike…

The more they thought about it, the more terrified they became. Big Gold Tooth and his companions shuddered, their resolve to follow Bai Han strengthening, vowing never to betray him.

Not only were Big Gold Tooth and his companions startled, but even Bai Xia was utterly shocked by her brother’s sudden act of killing.

In Bai Xia’s memory, her brother had always been shy and reserved. Whenever she used to tease him, Bai Han would only grumble a few complaints under his breath.

He was nothing like this now, killing without a moment’s hesitation. It was as if he was highly skilled, making Bai Xia understand her brother less and less.

Although Bai Xia had witnessed many gruesome and violent scenes since the apocalypse began, they were always zombies devouring people, which was different from Bai Han killing a human.

However, perhaps because Bai Han was the closest person to Bai Xia, even seeing him kill in front of her, Bai Xia didn’t feel there was anything wrong with her brother.

In her heart, whatever her brother did was right!
