Chapter 94: The Unleashed Beast

First Chapter

Lin Qing moved with astonishing speed. As the two vicious dogs lunged towards him, the hand grasping the pointed cone-shaped tag lashed out, striking with precise force directly into a dog’s eye.

In the next instant, blood splattered, and the dog let out a pained howl.

By the time the enraged dog spun around to snap viciously at Lin Qing, he had already retreated, maintaining his distance from the now one-eyed beast. The other dog, which had charged alongside, inadvertently became a scapegoat in the ensuing chaos.

Ignoring the two dogs as they turned on each other in a frenzied, self-destructive fight, Lin Qing continued his assault on the remaining hounds.

The pointed cone tag, in his grip, had transformed into an incredibly lethal weapon.

Watching from the sidelines, Liu Hong’s mouth gaped slightly, unable to believe that the person standing before him was the usually unremarkable Lin Qing.

The notion that even an ordinary toothbrush could become a deadly weapon was merely a tale, often told, yet rarely witnessed in reality.

Yet, now, Liu Hong was witnessing it firsthand.

Lin Qing acted without a shred of mercy. Had the tag in his hand been a sharp blade, he would have dispatched each dog with a single, precise strike.

No matter how ferocious these dogs were, in front of Lin Qing, they seemed as helpless as newborn chicks.

They posed no threat whatsoever.

However, just as Liu Hong was thinking this, one of the vicious dogs lunged.

Liu Hong, believing it was merely a single dog—and if Lin Qing could handle two, he certainly wouldn’t fare much worse—prepared himself.

Yet, the dog moved with startling agility, a speed Liu Hong simply couldn’t match. Caught off guard, its sharp teeth grazed his arm, tearing a chunk of flesh away.

Blood instantly gushed forth, further enraging the dog. Its front paws clawed furiously at the ground, leaving deep gouges, before it lunged viciously at Liu Hong once more.

Wounded and in agonizing pain, Liu Hong gritted his teeth, but at that moment, he couldn’t afford to think of anything else.

Since he couldn’t evade as swiftly as Lin Qing, dodging was not an option. He would have to meet force with force.

No matter how fast these vicious dogs were, once their movements were restricted, they wouldn’t be able to bite with such abandon.

Thus, as the dog pounced, Liu Hong immediately raised his hands, seizing its neck. He was ready for a man-versus-beast brawl, determined to see who would emerge victorious.

However, the dog was large and powerful, possessing considerable strength.

Wounded as he was, Liu Hong found it incredibly difficult to control the struggling beast. Several times, as the dog thrashed, his grip nearly slipped.

But Liu Hong knew in his heart that once he let go, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Summoning every ounce of his strength, Liu Hong throttled the dog’s neck, and the two tumbled and struggled on the ground, neither willing to yield.

It was shaping up to be a protracted battle. Liu Hong, his teeth clenched, elbowed the dog he was grappling with, seeing its sharp teeth rapidly clack together, as if warning him to stop.

Liu Hong’s heart hardened. The putrid drool from its mouth dripped onto his face, making him feel a revulsion he had never experienced in his life.

Just then, Liu Hong’s grip loosened. Immediately sensing danger, he quickly rolled, evading the dog’s snapping jaws.

Perhaps it was the sheer disgust that fueled his rage, but in that critical moment, Liu Hong performed beyond his usual capabilities.

As the dog lunged again, he swiftly dodged, then kicked the dog from behind, accidentally striking its lower back. A pathetic yelp escaped the dog, its movements faltered, and it instantly lost all strength.

Seeing this, a surge of elation spread across Liu Hong’s face. He immediately pounced, raining down a barrage of punches on the dog’s head.

His actions were brutal and relentless. At a time like this, to hell with animal welfare!

Once Liu Hong had beaten the dog into submission, he finally let out a sigh of relief. To ensure his safety, he then delivered another vicious kick to its lower back, just in case it tried to attack again.

Having resolved the immediate crisis, Liu Hong staggered to his feet. He thought of Lin Qing, who was fighting alone. Even if Lin Qing was fast, a single misstep or attack from a dog could be disastrous!

He resolved to fight alongside Lin Qing. Damn it. These trash dogs and trash people would have to wait a long time to claim his life!

“Lin Qing, I’m here to hel—”

However, as Liu Hong looked up, he froze on the spot.

At this very moment, the ground was a chaotic mess, splattered with blood.

The dozen or so previously ferocious dogs were now whimpering on the ground, some completely still, appearing lifeless.

In the time it had taken him to deal with just one dog, had Lin Qing really taken care of all of them?

Damn it. Was he even human?

Liu Hong recalled his own brutal ordeal, even suffering a bite from a dog, a truly dangerous situation where one mistake could have been fatal.

Yet, now, Lin Qing stood not far away, completely unharmed. Only his clothes were stained with the dogs’ blood, and his face was smeared with it, making him resemble a blood-soaked fiend, laden with sin.

Lin Qing’s face remained impassive, his dark eyes radiating an icy chill. He looked up towards the seating area, observing the guards who, having initially prepared to watch the show, could no longer sit still and were now rushing into the iron cage.

Witnessing this, Lin Qing couldn’t help but laugh. Starting as a low chuckle, it swelled into a bout of deranged, hysterical laughter.

His clearly unstable mental state only fueled the guards’ fury as they entered the arena. They hadn’t anticipated that the dogs nurtured by the factory would be killed by this young man.

If Dog Brother found out, they would all pay a heavy price. Damn it! With that thought, a guard immediately drew the iron rod he carried and charged at Lin Qing.

Seeing this, Liu Hong likewise ran towards Lin Qing, fearing these scumbags would try to kill him. Liu Hong had already experienced the taste of an iron rod to his head; if Lin Qing took a similar blow, he might be beaten to death on the spot!

Although Lin Qing had been incredibly swift in killing the dogs, he now faced humans.

Lin Qing couldn’t even handle Zhou Lin, his own subordinate, let alone these strong and muscular guards. Every profession has its specialists.

In this situation, it was his turn, the hooligan, to step forward and unleash havoc, to display his true strength.

However, before Liu Hong could reach Lin Qing, Lin Qing had already aggressively lunged towards the nearest guard.

Swiftly dodging the swinging iron rod, Lin Qing delivered a powerful kick to the back of the guard’s knee. As the guard stumbled, he grabbed the man’s hair with one hand, pulling him forward while the guard was still mid-swing with his rod.

Then, the pointed cone tag still clutched in Lin Qing’s other hand, he savagely stabbed it into the guard’s eye.

His movements were ruthless and devoid of emotion, like butchering a chicken or gutting a fish, as if he were utterly accustomed to it. Immediately, blood gushed forth, and the guard screamed horribly.

Lin Qing didn’t spare a glance for the injured guard, swiftly moving on to attack the others. Each strike ensured someone was severely wounded.

Yet, it was as if he had no concept of moderation; not a single person in the arena died. Only the miserable howls continued, ceaseless and piercing.

Wang Fanran, still seated, watched as Sixth Brother, who had been sitting beside him, charged forward, only to be neutralized by Lin Qing in mere seconds. Now, Sixth Brother clutched his bleeding eye, screaming in agony.

Gone was the leisurely enjoyment he had just expressed about watching the show. The powerful hand that had rested on his shoulder, once radiating an undeniable, overwhelming power, had been utterly ineffective against Lin Qing.

Now, pitifully, he clutched his own eye, letting out a mournful cry. ‘What kind of person is Lin Qing?!

He had initially thought Lin Qing was merely a weakling, but now, he was viciously injuring people. His brutal actions showed no hesitation whatsoever.

They even seemed practiced. Lin Qing was definitely not an ordinary person!

After Wang Fanran fully grasped the situation, he gained a new understanding of his usually somber former deskmate, realizing this man was not as soft and incompetent as he appeared.

Instead, he was a hidden master, concealing his true identity! Damn it!

If Lin Qing was so strong, why had he hidden it? If he had known this guy was so ruthless, even with a hundred times his usual courage, he wouldn’t dare provoke him.

But now, it was too late. He found himself desperately caught up in the unfolding chaos with Lin Qing and Liu Hong.

The situation had spiraled out of control, and Wang Fanran harbored a deep hatred for Lin Qing. After all, it was a death threat; how could he easily let it go?

As soon as he thought about the consequences of being caught by Lin Qing and sent to the police station, Wang Fanran quickly stood up from his seat, trembling. He knew he couldn’t stay there and wait for death.

The thought of Lin Qing doing the same to him—gouging out his eyes—sent shivers of agonizing pain through him!

Fortunately, Lin Qing seemed to be in an unstable state right now. This was his chance to quickly escape while Lin Qing wasn’t paying attention to him.

As Wang Fanran stealthily made his exit, Lin Qing continued to deal with the charging guards.

Liu Hong, who had been about to roll up his sleeves and charge forward to assist, watched dumbfounded. At this point, he had simply become a spectator.

He suddenly realized that he didn’t need to intervene; Lin Qing alone could handle everything. Not only did he have a trick for dealing with vicious dogs, but Lin Qing was even more formidable against people!

He never stopped, completely immersed in the fight, and his efficiency was remarkably high! Liu Hong, recalling his earlier thought that Lin Qing couldn’t handle these guards, felt his old face flush with embarrassment.

He was glad no one else knew what he had been thinking, or he would have been utterly humiliated. It was like trying to teach a master swordsman how to wield a blade!

Even if Liu Hong had personally joined the fray, he could only have dealt with two or three guards at most, given their robust physiques and weapons. They were not easy opponents.

Yet, Lin Qing had handled them all by himself. At this moment, Liu Hong was at a loss for words, ultimately choosing to remain silent.

Lin Qing was simply incredible, that was all.

However…

Lin Qing suddenly crumpled to the ground, grabbing his hair and shouting for *her* not to come closer. ‘What the hell? Is Lin Qing attacking indiscriminately now? After dealing with these guards, would he turn on *me*?’

Liu Hong’s heart pounded at these thoughts. Instead of rushing to help, he quickly ran back towards the seating area.

In fact, Liu Hong’s suspicions were correct; Lin Qing was not in a normal state at this moment.

After dispatching the last guard, Lin Qing looked at the fleeing Liu Hong, his body uncontrollably giving chase, the pointed cone tag in his hand dripping blood.

The blood splattered everywhere as Lin Qing ran, leaving an erratic trail of crimson marks.

“Lin Qing, snap out of it! It’s me, Liu Hong!”

Seeing Lin Qing truly pursuing him, Liu Hong knew his speed was no match for Lin Qing’s. He decided against further escape and instead reached out, pushing the thick glass door, then braced his body against the entrance, holding it shut.

In his heart, he prayed for Lin Qing to return to normal quickly. Then, as if Liu Hong’s prayers had been answered, Lin Qing actually stopped.

Lin Qing looked up at the clean glass door, its surface reflecting a vague, blurry image, yet distinct enough to show a rough silhouette.
