Although An Yueying’s villa was quite spacious and the sound shouldn’t have escaped, both the butler and An Yueying had undoubtedly heard the commotion.
With that thought, Ye Qing couldn’t help but bury her face into a cushion on the sofa, frantically lowering the volume and praying not to attract any more attention.
An Yueying arrived at that opportune moment, presenting two glasses of juice to them. After a barely audible thank you, Ye Qing took small sips from her cup, the sweetness of the juice finally soothing her startled heart.
The film briefly transitioned into a filler scene. Tang Nuo, who had been restless, also settled down after An Yueying’s arrival.
The three of them watched the “inappropriate” film play out on the massive screen, enveloped in a strange harmony.
A while later, when the protagonist, captured by enemies, appeared on screen, An Yueying suddenly understood. A mischievous smile playing on her lips, she patted Ye Qing’s shoulder.
“Hey, the protagonist in this one looks so much like you.”
At her words, Ye Qing nearly choked on her juice, casting a resentful glance at An Yueying.
“Wait, let me guess. It wasn’t the little girl who picked this, was it?”
Ye Qing nodded helplessly. Beside her, Tang Nuo watched with relish, while Ye Qing felt like a powerless husband, forced to witness the black-haired girl on screen restrained in a chair, enduring the enemy’s elaborate torture.
The moment the electric baton buzzed, Ye Qing shivered slightly, as if she herself had been shocked. She quickly took another sip of juice, attempting to calm herself.
Yet, as she drank, a tingling numbness spread across her tongue, causing her delicate brows to furrow.
“Why does this juice taste so strange? Has it gone bad?”
Hearing this, An Yueying’s cherry lips curved into a beautiful arc as she calmly replied:
“Because I added something to it.”
“Pfft—”
Ye Qing abruptly spat out all the juice in her mouth, clutching the coffee table as she coughed violently.
An Yueying unhurriedly picked up a napkin, dabbing at Ye Qing’s damp lips, only to have her foot angrily stomped on by the other woman.
“Why didn’t you say so earlier?”
Feeling Ye Qing’s small foot, softly pressing on her toes through a cotton slipper like a little grey rabbit trying to bite her, An Yueying found the angry, black-haired girl before her even more adorable.
She couldn’t help but rub Ye Qing’s head, soothing her ruffled demeanor.
“It’s just some specially prepared honey and cinnamon. It’s not as exaggerated as you think.”
Ye Qing narrowed her amber eyes, scrutinizing An Yueying’s smiling face with suspicion. After a moment, she began wiping the juice from the coffee table, all the while murmuring softly.
“Why would you say something so misleading…”
“You weren’t mistaken. It does have certain effects, but its nature is quite mild, so it won’t produce immediate results.”
Ye Qing stomped on her foot again, then glanced at Tang Nuo, who was covering her flushed face, peeking at the screen with golden eyes through her fingers.
“You call *this* mild?”
An Yueying smiled faintly and ruffled Ye Qing’s head once more.
Ye Qing’s hair flowed through her fingers like water, feeling exceptionally smooth and fluffy, as if she were petting a soft, adorable creature. An Yueying thoroughly enjoyed the sensation.
“There, there. This is a normal reaction for her. You’re watching a movie, isn’t it perfectly normal to get a little immersed?”
Ye Qing struggled to force a smile, then slumped back onto the sofa in dismay, her plain face seemingly etched with displeasure.
She seemed to finally understand those who were stunned by her words. Indeed, when someone delivered such outrageous lines with a straight face, the listener was bound to feel bewildered.
‘What on earth is this person saying?’
After silently watching for another segment, Miss Glutinous Rice Candy seemed to have reached her limit.
She set down her now empty juice glass, her face flushed with embarrassment, and leaned in to whisper something to Ye Qing.
An Yueying had apparently added a bit of alcohol to the juice, as its intoxicating scent brushed against Ye Qing’s sensitive earlobe, causing her pale skin to blush faintly.
“Ye Qing, I need to use the restroom.”
Seeing Tang Nuo nervously rubbing her thighs, Ye Qing found it hard not to question her intentions.
Her cautious demeanor clearly indicated she was too shy to speak to An Yueying directly. With no other choice, Ye Qing subtly cast an inquiring look at An Yueying, who understood immediately and pointed towards the corridor.
Ye Qing gently tugged on Tang Nuo’s sleeve, leading her into the corridor. The wooden door on the left, adorned with stained glass, clearly led to a restroom. Ye Qing pushed it open, gesturing for Tang Nuo to enter.
However, as she unconsciously glimpsed the interior, her almond-shaped eyes widened in shock.
‘An Yueying, is this still a restroom? What do you usually use this place for…’
Anticipating that Tang Nuo would likely transform into an evil executive the moment she stepped inside, Ye Qing decisively shut the door.
She pulled Tang Nuo’s hand, drawing her away and preventing her from peeking in curiously.
“Not this one. It should be further inside.”
‘An Yueying, you’re so wicked!’
A moment later, Ye Qing inadvertently led Tang Nuo to a spacious bedroom. Such a large master bedroom in a villa would naturally come with an attached restroom.
Although Miss Glutinous Rice Candy’s face was flushed crimson, and she was restlessly tapping her foot, Ye Qing cautiously pushed the door open and checked inside before finally allowing Tang Nuo to enter with peace of mind.
‘As long as there’s no transformation device, there won’t be any surprises.’
For some reason, Ye Qing leaned against the door, feeling a sense of relief. It was as if she had forgotten that her original intention in bringing Tang Nuo here was to transform her into an evil executive.
‘Why is Xiao Nuo taking so long… No, she must be up to something. I should probably leave first.’
Ye Qing quickly scanned the room. An Yueying’s bedroom appeared quite ordinary, with no particular distinguishing features apart from its exceptional spaciousness.
The only thing that caught her attention was the magical girl poster affixed to the wall.
However, it wasn’t the familiar three-person team depicted, but a different magical girl squad entirely.
Magical Girl Qing was still present, with her golden hair and striking emerald eyes, her figure as stunning as ever.
Yet, her face was much more youthful than it was now, and her demeanor hadn’t yet settled, retaining a girlish vivacity.
To her right was an unfamiliar grey-haired magical girl, exuding a serene composure unique to mature women. For some reason, her dim grey eyes always evoked a hint of sadness in Ye Qing.
In the center stood a purple-haired magical girl with a graceful figure and a gentle smile.
Her beautiful, captivating face radiated confidence, and her valiant posture, leaning on a long sword, seemed even more dashing than Magical Girl Bai’s.
Observing the poster’s wavy, warped surface, it appeared to have been displayed for a long time. Ye Qing leaned closer with curiosity, gently tracing its texture.
Just then, An Yueying’s voice suddenly drifted from the doorway.
“Hey, don’t damage the poster. If you want to touch the real thing, why not come find me instead?”
Ye Qing paused, slightly startled. It was then that she realized her hand was resting precisely on the ample chest of the purple-haired magical girl in the center of the poster.
She hastily withdrew her hand, all the while pondering An Yueying’s words.
“Was that… you, from the past?”
An Yueying slowly stepped forward, her purple eyes distant as she gazed at the poster.
“Heh, it doesn’t look like me at all, does it?”
