Join the ServerSeeing the sharp blade had already left a distinct bloodstain on the girl’s smooth, jade-like neck, Ye Qing’s heart instantly quivered. She dared not make another rash move.
After her recent attempts, she had clearly realized one crucial point: the man before her was highly trained and could not be swiftly defeated.
She had, after all, never participated in the Magical Girl Academy’s combat training. At present, she was merely flailing at him with wild, unrefined punches, relying on her shallow understanding of brawling.
Even from the feel of her blows, she could tell these ineffective attacks caused him no harm. They were likely deflected by some strange technique, leaving her with no sensation of impact even when she struck his face.
Such skills were not something one could learn just by observing. Ye Qing was no genius, so she could only exert her abilities to their fullest.
In truth, a Magical Girl’s powers were a dimension-shattering strike against ordinary humans. Even if Ye Qing were to boldly walk up to him and cause mischief right under his nose, the man would never be able to ‘notice’ her.
However, Ye Qing was unsure of the full extent of her own abilities. Moreover, if the man were to pull out a grenade, intending to take them all down with him—which was a real possibility—things would become troublesome.
Thus, she dared not offer aid rashly. She could only stabilize the situation for now, while secretly uncorking another potion behind her back, attempting to further enhance herself through the dispersion of magic.
The potions developed by An Yueying could be colorless and odorless, though this particular one carried a sweet strawberry scent. However, ordinary people, unable to perceive magic, would not be able to smell it.
Ye Qing kept her eyes fixed on the man’s hand, terrified he might make another sudden move. She wasn’t worried he would suddenly kill Ye Yu, for if he had intended to, he would not have bothered to drug Ye Yu earlier.
Ye Qing surmised he had other intentions… but she wasn’t suited for this. She could only rely on that wicked woman once more.
“At least let me see where you are first!”
The man snarled, his voice guttural, like an old truck spewing exhaust. It carried a sinister edge that made Ye Qing frown involuntarily.
Ye Qing naturally could not agree. She was considering whether to invoke the Tea Party’s name to get Ye Yu out of danger as quickly as possible.
After a moment’s thought, she decided against using that nefarious organization to threaten him. She didn’t know the assassin’s background; what if he was a sworn enemy of the Tea Party?
Ye Yu’s life was in his hands, so Ye Qing had to be as cautious as possible.
“You’re connected to a witch, aren’t you! If so, I can drop this assignment, but you must come out first. Let me confirm you won’t threaten me!”
The man pressed the dagger closer, and a trickle of crimson blood began to flow from Ye Yu’s slender neck. Ye Qing gritted her teeth, forced to temporarily agree.
“Alright.”
Ye Qing’s mind raced. A peculiar term in the man’s words had caught her attention.
What did he mean by ‘witch’? Was he referring to an Evil Executive?
Though she didn’t understand the specifics of Mozhou, according to An Yueying, the evil organizations were the true power holders here. Magical Girls were rare, so it was plausible they had different designations.
She just didn’t know what Magical Girls were called.
Ye Qing didn’t hesitate. She deactivated her ability, finally revealing her petite figure to the man. He immediately turned the dagger’s tip toward Ye Qing.
“Whose side are you on? What’s your relationship with her?”
The man pressed on, his hawk-like gaze locked onto Ye Qing, preventing her from escaping into his blind spot again. In truth, this only offered him a small measure of psychological comfort.
Ye Qing twitched her lips, preparing to answer.
Concurrently, the potion had fully diffused throughout the room. The colorless magic, upon touching the wound on Ye Yu’s neck, slowly began to seep into it.
Correspondingly, the white phone in Ye Yu’s pocket was now absorbing magic at an astonishing rate, vibrating moments later.
The movement was subtle, merely rousing Ye Yu without being noticed by the two tense individuals. Thus, Ye Yu, who had been unconscious, quietly opened her eyes to a slit.
“I am from the Tea Party, and the girl you’ve captured is my sister.”
Upon hearing the words, Ye Yu’s delicate body trembled slightly as she regained consciousness. Feeling the constriction around her neck that made breathing difficult, she instinctively reached out to pull at it.
But she quickly realized the problem.
‘No, he can’t discover I’m awake.’
Yet, with the man’s hand clamped around her throat, Ye Yu had no way to break free. As she struggled, a translucent light screen suddenly appeared before her.

Ye Yu gasped for air, quickly scanning the information.
Undoubtedly, this was likely the greatest legacy her parents had left her. For now, only the 30% unlocked Hypnosis Voice function seemed capable of helping.
Ye Yu tried to control the panel with her thoughts, but the only response she received was:
[Please operate during hypnosis. Open Hypnosis Voice. Play ultrasonic hypnosis audio (incomplete), then turn the volume button to maximum.]
‘What a practical system,’ Ye Yu thought.
Ye Yu’s pretty face furrowed. How was she supposed to perform such a difficult operation at a time like this?
Speaking of which, the other two hypnosis targets, besides herself, were quite noteworthy. Zhai Ping was clearly a male name, most likely referring to the assassin holding her captive. As for the ‘???’, that could only be the black-haired girl before her.
However, Ye Yu had no other choice now; she had to take a gamble.
She painstakingly reached for her phone, glancing at its contents from the corner of her eye. Fortunately, the man hadn’t noticed her body suddenly tensing, his attention still fixed on the black-haired girl.
Nevertheless, her subtle movements would likely not escape the girl’s notice.
Ye Yu cautiously peered at Ye Qing, meeting her gaze for a brief moment. Ye Qing quickly averted her eyes, as if worried the man would notice.
From that fleeting eye contact alone, Ye Yu confirmed that she was an ally, and by her appearance, perhaps her half-sister.
‘Regardless, I’ll try hypnosis first.’
Ye Yu operated the phone with one hand, her slender fingers quickly and precisely pressing the controls. But just then, she caught a warning glance from Ye Qing in her peripheral vision.
Ye Yu instinctively followed Ye Qing’s gaze, immediately meeting the man’s dark, scowling eyes.
The next moment, the dagger was pressed against her neck again, bringing a sharp sting, accompanied by the man’s thunderous roar.
“Don’t move!”
Ye Yu cried out in pain, nearly dropping the phone, but she had already entered the playback interface, only one step away from success.
Though her vision was obstructed, relying on her sense of touch, she decisively pressed her finger down.
‘Please, just this once, let me have good luck! Even if my big brother never finds a girlfriend for his entire life!’
