Join the ServerThe details in Silver Moon’s words were quite dense, causing Ye Qing’s almond eyes to widen in an instant.
However, unlike most people who would press for more information, Ye Qing unhesitatingly threw Silver Moon’s words back at her.
“Who would believe your nonsense? Hmph, save those words for when I’m beating you later!”
Ye Qing’s cool, cat-like retorts were usually hard to take seriously, but this time, they left Silver Moon utterly speechless.
Perhaps it was from spending so much time with Shen Congqing and the others, but Ye Qing had picked up some of that stubborn spirit unique to magical girls—especially the rule about not listening to an enemy’s deceptive words during a fight.
‘Hmph, Silver Moon, that schemer, thinks she can sow discord with her wicked words and corrupt my mind… Nonsense! Once I catch you and thoroughly interrogate you, you’ll spill everything anyway!’
“…Believe it or not.”
Her carefully planned words of discord, which she had rehearsed internally for so long, were forcefully shoved back down her throat, leaving Silver Moon utterly vexed.
Though this was a mandatory subject at the Magical Girl Academy, and Silver Moon herself had personally taught it to her students—Chi had just perfectly demonstrated it—now Ye Qing was mimicking her, making Silver Moon taste the bitterness of being unable to speak her mind.
Even unspoken, her words had, to some extent, distracted Gu Xuanyu.
She, too, wanted to know what else Silver Moon had done to Ye Qing that night, knowing without a doubt that it must have been something outrageous.
After recovering most of her memories, Gu Xuanyu could vaguely recall the scene from back then.
Flickering candlelight, fragmented, hazy flashbacks, and the white-haired girl, now in human form, turning to a black-haired youth, murmuring something to him…
At the time, she hadn’t questioned Silver Moon’s motives, believing her to be a benevolent magical girl.
So, what exactly was this ‘reckless wish’? And what did Silver Moon intend to use to disturb Ye Qing’s thoughts?
Gu Xuanyu’s heart burned with anxiety. She urgently glanced back at the dark, plush bear, noting the intricate mystery woven into its plump, burgundy form.
She began to feel uneasy again, worried that Silver Moon’s words might make Ye Qing change her mind… worried that the hazy past might conceal a weapon more terrifying than mere estrangement.
Through the bulky headpiece, Gu Xuanyu could faintly discern those clear, amber eyes, silently meeting her gaze.
A moment later, the plush bear raised its fist, clumsily making an encouraging gesture.
Gu Xuanyu stared blankly, her grip on the saber in her right hand loosening slightly. Chi seized this opening, delivering a side punch to the blade, intending to knock it away.
But Gu Xuanyu’s momentary lapse lasted only an instant. In a flash, she re-gripped her military saber firmly, unleashing a surge of magical power comparable to Chi’s.
Immediately, she flicked her blade upwards, parrying away Chi’s fiery fist. The anxiety vanished from her lovely face, replaced by a confident curve that had subtly formed on her cherry lips.
‘Thank you, Ye Qing.’
Following this, a brilliant silver light flared on the military saber, seemingly gathering power. Nearby, Shen Congqing, understanding her intent, began to channel her own magical energy, causing her greatsword to gleam with a pale azure glow.
Sensing the threat, Chi gritted her teeth. The flame patterns on her body seemed to come alive, spreading once more until they climbed to the tips of her limbs and even her delicate cheeks, forming dominant markings.
The scarlet flames, which had seemed to solidify, gradually deepened to crimson. This change in color corresponded to a qualitative shift in her magical intensity—she was holding nothing back.
Unleashing astonishing power, Chi smashed at Qing’s greatsword.
Qing felt her strength was insufficient to meet the attack, so she could only position her greatsword before her like a shield, blocking Chi’s storm-like onslaught.
After calmly assessing the situation for a moment, Gu Xuanyu finally found the perfect opportunity. A flash of silver light pierced through everyone’s vision in an instant; the sound of it tearing through the air arrived belatedly, carrying with it a few strands of fiery red hair.
Gu Xuanyu’s saber dangerously grazed the side of Chi’s neck, just a hair’s breadth from Silver Moon’s brow, but Chi turned and parried it away. Still, Gu Xuanyu clearly perceived the fleeting flicker of terror in Silver Moon’s eyes.
Her composure was merely a facade; as the shadow of death loomed, she inevitably lost her bearings.
Seeing this, Gu Xuanyu revealed a wicked smile. Her burgundy eyes, sharp as daggers, pierced straight into Silver Moon, as if to see through her inner unease and tension.
“Don’t worry, I won’t let you die easily.”
After leaving that light yet chilling statement, Gu Xuanyu withdrew her long saber, leaving Silver Moon frozen in place.
The white-haired girl involuntarily shivered, only then realizing her legs had begun to tremble at some point.
‘Am I… afraid?’
The small room felt overly cramped amidst the fierce struggle. Magical sparks scattered, igniting the curtains and scorching through the wooden tabletop, rapidly igniting into a raging inferno.
Choking black smoke billowed out, obscuring their vision. They could only vaguely discern a pair of flame-wreathed fists, a long saber glinting coldly, and a sweeping greatsword clashing back and forth, producing several resounding metallic strikes in an instant.
Fortunately, Ye Qing’s plush suit now also possessed the ability to block out black smoke, so she didn’t feel choked.
With Silver Moon’s harassment gone and the situation unclear, Ye Qing could only turn her gaze to Chi.
As her attention drifted elsewhere, she suddenly noticed a familiar book resting on the burning table nearby.
Through the thick black smoke, Ye Qing couldn’t see clearly at first. She squinted her eyes and finally made out the two characters on the cover.
It was Chi’s book, _Exclusive Love_.
Ye Qing’s heart tightened. Seeing the flames about to lick at its corner, she stealthily skirted the battle while the others were still fighting, and swiftly snatched the book from the fire.
It was quite astonishing; the plush, soft surface of her suit could pass through the flames unhindered, without leaving a single burn mark. Ye Qing also felt no heat through the suit.
After brushing off the ash that had fallen on the cover, Ye Qing regretfully discovered a faint burn mark already present on the corner of the cover.
The subsequent illustrated color pages had not escaped unscathed either, curled at one corner, as if the lifelike red-haired girl in the drawing had been burned, causing her to curl her toes and reveal a pitiful, teary expression.
‘Looks like you’ve been bullied again, Miss Heroine~’
Ye Qing smiled faintly, about to tuck it into her plush suit, but this scene was spotted by Chi, who instantly became frantic.
With a burst of unknown strength, she forcefully pushed Qing’s greatsword aside, creating a gap wide enough for a person to pass through between the two, then shot out like lightning.
At this moment, Ye Qing was nervously lifting the headpiece of her plush suit, putting the book inside, oblivious to the approaching danger. When Chi closed in and snatched her headpiece off, Ye Qing raised her face, flustered, and met the red-haired girl’s blazing eyes directly.
Upon seeing Ye Qing’s delicate, familiar face and the way she carefully shielded _Exclusive Love_, Chi’s surging anger instantly dissipated, replaced by a look of bewilderment.
‘What am I… doing?’
