Chapter 107: The Perils of a Perverted Script

Training was nearing its end, and others were gradually departing. Yet, amidst the bustling crowd, a pair of deep, ink-black eyes remained fixed on the black-haired girl caught in the center.

“What are you looking at?”

Just as Qin Yuqian was lost in her thoughts, she was suddenly called out by the girl beside her. It was her current partner, a lovely girl with chestnut curly hair.

Qin Yuqian calmly withdrew her gaze, shaking her head.

“Nothing.”

Ye Qing casually took the script, yawning as she slowly began to flip through it.

Ye Qing’s eyebrow twitched violently, but she quickly suppressed the urge to give Liu Qingruo a sharp rap on the head and continued reading.

Ye Qing yearned to bash her head against the wall, hoping to erase the memory of what she had just read.

She turned her gaze, flushing with indignation, and stared intently at Liu Qingruo, whose face was alight with anticipation. Her lips parted slightly, but no words came out.

‘Stop flattering yourself! You little girl clearly wished to be pinned down and ravaged by the evil executive, didn’t you? Speaking of which, I truly underestimated your depravity back then…’

“Are you saying you want to act in this?”

“Yes.”

Liu Qingruo nodded, then flipped to the end of the script, where the cast list was clearly written.

Ye Qing put down the script, taking two deep breaths to maintain a calm expression. Then, her dark brows furrowed, and words of dissatisfaction burst from her lips:

“I’m not acting!”

Liu Qingruo gasped in surprise at this response.

Ye Qing’s small hand, gripping the script, trembled slightly from the force. She bared her sharp canines, trying her best to look fierce.

“I absolutely refuse to play a perverted villain! And this kind of thing would never pass censorship; there’s no way you could put it on stage!”

Upon hearing this, Liu Qingruo scratched her head, the cowlick on top swaying back and forth like wild grass, seemingly genuinely bewildered.

“But… the screenwriter agreed…”

Helpless, Ye Qing gently set the script down with a soft creak. Then, without hesitation, she flicked Liu Qingruo’s forehead. Though the force was barely more than a tickle, it still startled Liu Qingruo.

“Ugh, why did you hit me…?”

“Perhaps you’ll become smarter after being hit, eh.”

Ye Qing sighed softly, handing the script back to Liu Qingruo.

“It must be revised. Absolutely. Otherwise, I will not appear, not even in a mascot suit!”

Early the next morning, Ye Qing, freshly awake, noticed a red mass wiggling at the head of her bed.

She struggled to free herself from Gu Xuanyu’s embrace, squinting her blurry eyes, trying hard to discern what it was. Then, she gasped in alarm.

“Liu Qingruo, wake up! How did you get in here?”

The red-haired girl was half-crouching on the floor, her cheek pressed against the nightstand, fast asleep. So sweetly, in fact, that she was completely oblivious to the drool quietly trickling from the corner of her mouth, forming a small puddle that reflected her adorably sleepy face.

But Ye Qing dared not let her continue sleeping there. She quickly grabbed her and shook her back and forth, finally rousing her awake.

“Eh? Qingyu-laoshi, quickly, look at the script I’ve revised…”

With Ye Qing’s half-speechless, half-sympathetic assistance, she finally managed to drag the red-haired girl to another empty bed. The moment her head touched the pillow, she was sound asleep once more.

Her attention returned to Liu Qingruo. Ye Qing’s dark brows furrowed, and she vaguely arrived at a guess.

Ye Qing tucked Liu Qingruo into bed, sighing helplessly. Only then did she notice the small notebook Liu Qingruo had been using as a pillow.

Otherwise, this girl’s hard work would have likely been soaked by her own drool.

Ye Qing sat on the bed, flipping through it once more. Her feet couldn’t reach the ground, so she kicked off her slippers, swinging her smooth, fair, slender legs as she read with great interest.

While the previous version had certainly been a surprise, Ye Qing was curious to see what Liu Qingruo could achieve without lust as her driving force.

Then, after scanning one particular line, her smile froze on her face.

[Haki Bear (gently pinching Chi’s chin, forcing her to meet their gaze): My nemesis, Magical Girl Chi, you’ve finally fallen into my hands. Do you know how long I’ve waited for this day?]

[Magical Girl Chi (swallowing hard): Gulp, kill me.]

[Haki Bear (releasing their hand, then mercilessly tearing open Chi’s battle suit…)]

[Magical Girl Chi (shyly, feigning resistance): No, you mustn’t! A nemesis is a nemesis! How can nemeses do things like lovers?]

‘Xiao Chi, you’re really something.’

Ye Qing abruptly lay back, staring at the ceiling.

‘This girl is hopeless. The motivation supporting her creativity isn’t lust at all!’

Just as Ye Qing was debating whether to wake Liu Qingruo directly, a familiar pretty face, framed by silver hair, appeared in her central vision, reaching out curiously towards her.
