Join the ServerAccompanied by Silver Moon’s cry of pain, her right hand hung limp, clearly having been broken.
Golden blood seeped from An Yueying’s delicate fingers, quickly stopped by her magic to prevent Silver Moon from losing consciousness due to excessive bleeding.
This pain was merely to make her understand the situation more clearly and fully experience the terror of the moment. Escape was not an option.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”
Silver Moon repeatedly apologized, like a drowning person grasping at a floating piece of wood on the water’s surface. But An Yueying gently pressed her slender fingers against Silver Moon’s lips, pushing her completely underwater.
“At this point, such things are no longer needed, Silver Moon. You’ve always been doing the right thing. As a magical girl, I am truly grateful to you~”
Despite the gentle reassurance, Silver Moon’s fear only intensified, as she recognized the purple-haired woman reflected in her own retina.
The woman was clearly emanating a strong magical aura, yet her attire was entirely different from her magical girl persona. If she weren’t in disguise, there was only one possibility…
She was appearing before Silver Moon as an evil executive!
Unlike Luo Huayin and Tang Nuo, whose revealing outfits were quite different, An Yueying’s attire was elegant, like a hostess receiving guests in an evening gown, yet also seemed carefree.
A casual black coat draped over her shoulders, beneath which was a simple, sheer white blouse that clung to her stunning curves. The top button was intentionally left undone, revealing a hint of snow-white skin and alluring curves.
The blouse was tucked into a fitted short skirt, and below that, silky black stockings hugged her shapely thighs, leaving nothing to the imagination, yet somehow seeming completely unhidden. Beneath the allure, a dangerous signal was subtly conveyed.
“Thank you for creating such a perfect opportunity, allowing me to break free and finally be myself. And thank you for your actions, helping me see reality early on and say goodbye to my foolish, immature self…”
An Yueying reached out, licking her vibrant red lips, eagerly grasping Silver Moon’s hand, causing her to cry out in pain again.
“I’m feeling a bit carried away. Now, let me properly thank you. We have all the time in the world~”
As Gu Xuanyu hurried to pursue Silver Moon, her movement suddenly froze. She sensed a powerful magical aura erupting from a distant street.
A silver-gray light orb and a pink mist clashed, their collision shattering nearby glass. Even from a distance, Gu Xuanyu could feel the intensity of the battle, far more intense than her own.
It was a level they couldn’t interfere with. But after a few exchanges, the pink mist seemed to receive an order, hovering briefly before darting away like a comet, not lingering to fight.
Perhaps it knew it couldn’t stop the other, or maybe it had more urgent matters to attend to.
The silver-gray light orb didn’t pursue, instead immediately changing course and flying towards the academy, clearly headed straight for their location.
Gu Xuanyu’s heart raced, realizing the situation was unfavorable. The magical girl from afar was obviously targeting them, likely to question and hold them accountable. If she caught Leaf Qing…
Qing also noticed something amiss and joined Gu Xuanyu by the window, looking at the familiar magical girl with a complex expression.
It seemed like it had been days since she had last seen her, and her complexion appeared gaunt. It was as if Liu Qingruo had exhausted her magic, reverting to her human form, now peacefully sleeping with her head on Leaf Qing’s lap.
Seeing that Qing seemed to know something about this unfamiliar magical girl, Gu Xuanyu asked, “Who is she?”
Qing sighed softly, her voice heavy with emotion.
“Fading Star.”
Hearing this familiar name, Gu Xuanyu was taken aback. During her time as a magical girl, though she rarely engaged in combat, she was aware of the situations in other cities.
Fading Star was renowned as a one-person army, her reputation surpassed only by the Twin Stars under Su Yi’s command. Even one of the Twins might struggle to gain the upper hand against her.
Fading Star and Qing were both under Duanmu Jin’s supervision, so her arrival implied that Duanmu Jin was also present.
In the past, Gu Xuanyu would have welcomed her arrival, as it meant someone could finally deal with Silver Moon. But now, Duanmu Jin’s sudden appearance would only bring complications.
She was now an independent magical girl, considered a dangerous element, and Leaf Qing was an unapologetic member of an evil organization.
If their presence at the magical girl academy, attacking the highest authority in the region, was exposed, they would find themselves in a precarious situation.
However, Fading Star’s speed was astonishing. In mere breaths, she had already entered the room through the window shattered by Silver Moon, leaving Gu Xuanyu no time to react.
The gray-haired girl’s cold, gray eyes scanned the room, softening briefly when they met Qing’s now-feminine face. She reached out to touch Qing’s cheek but abruptly turned away, focusing on the most unusual element in the room.
The fire had been extinguished by Gu Xuanyu’s magic, and the smoke had cleared. In the center of the room, a conspicuous black teddy bear sat, emanating an eerie, discordant chill.
Despite Leaf Qing’s limited magic, Fading Star could still sense her difference from this distance—the evil force attached to her.
Fading Star’s eyes narrowed, her right hand clenching into a fist, materializing a silver-gray lance.
She pointed the lance’s sharp tip towards the black teddy bear, her voice cold and stern.
“Dangerous element.”
The atmosphere tensed, and Gu Xuanyu’s heart raced. Without considering whether Fading Star was friend or foe, she quickly stepped in front of the lance, her military sword at the ready.
“Stand aside, she’s a bad person.”
Gu Xuanyu shook her head firmly, explaining, “She’s not a bad person, just in a special situation.”
Fading Star’s expression didn’t change; she maintained her grip on the lance, her blinking unaltered.
“Bad person, is a bad person.”
Gu Xuanyu bit her lip, unsure of how to explain, preparing to fight Fading Star, when a warm, friendly voice suddenly came from the doorway.
“Put down the lance, Xiao Lan.”
At her words, Fading Star immediately lowered her weapon, obediently jumping down from the windowsill and hurrying to her side, her gray eyes filled with anticipation as she looked up at her.
The golden-eyed girl smiled faintly.
“You really are impossible…”
She reached out, affectionately ruffling Fading Star’s hair, then approached Gu Xuanyu, gently pushing aside her military sword. She extended a pale hand, offering a handshake.
“There’s no need to be tense. I’m willing to believe you. It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Duanmu Jin, the former head of the region.”
