Chapter 122: The Price of Defeat and a Feline Recruitment

She still remembered that day of crushing defeat, when she was forced to reveal such a shameful posture.

“You… how is this possible? What kind of power is this…?”

The woman, arrogant yet graceful, lightly nudged Luo Huayin’s face with the back of her foot. The force was minimal, yet a wave of humiliation instantly washed over Luo Huayin.

She had initially believed Luo Huayin to be promising, a Violet worthy of careful cultivation and admiration. Never had she imagined that the moment Luo Huayin entered her sights, she had mistaken the hunter for the hunted, becoming inextricably ensnared by her vines.

“Quite incredible, wouldn’t you say, Tea Chief?”

She chuckled insolently, her words laced with amusement.

“Allow me to inform you, this is called ‘True Manifestation.'”

Her fingertips glowed with a dazzling, rainbow-like iridescence, neither pure silver nor enchanting pink. Instead, it seemed as though two opposing forces intertwined, forming a power that commanded awe.

Yet, these were clearly two elements at war; how could they possibly reside within the same person?

‘Tea Chief…’

“Oh, no, from now on I should call you Little Huayin. Or perhaps Little Flower isn’t bad either?”

‘Humiliation, persecution… Because of her, even that green tea b*tch, who used to be my rival, now has the right to step all over me…’

Luo Huayin clenched her fists, only to relax them moments later, her gaze shifting deliberately to the Grey-haired girl before her.

She gave a cold laugh, her voice seductive yet venomous.

“We meet again, Fading Star. Do you remember me?”

The Grey-haired girl’s eyes narrowed, fixing on Luo Huayin for a few seconds before the sharp intensity was replaced by a bewildered blankness.

“You, who are you?”

Luo Huayin froze for a moment, then bit down hard on her silver teeth. Unmistakable resentment marred her beautiful features, and though no battle had yet begun, she already cut the figure of a defeated dog.

[Of course, this doesn’t mean her power has diminished. Although she is unwilling to admit it, with the aid of An Yueying’s magical potions, she has become even stronger than before. It is simply that due to her ‘shattered Dao heart,’ her mannerisms and speech have become exceptionally ‘defeated dog-like.’]

“I’ll say it again. I am Luo Huayin, Tea Chief…”

Her self-introduction was cut short as a sharp, piercing pain spread from between her brows, forcing her to correct herself.

“Chief Little Cake…”

Simple-minded as Fading Star was, she pondered for a good while, yet failed to comprehend. Trusting her intuition, she offered her assessment.

“You sound easy to manipulate.”

This comment ignited Luo Huayin’s fury completely. She spoke no more, instead channeling every ounce of magic from her limbs and bones, launching herself at Fading Star.

‘Today, I’ll show you the strength of a bounty hunter ranked fifth!’

However, before Luo Huayin could reach Fading Star, she sensed a cold glint beneath her, forcing her to halt her attack and warily regard the unexpected intruder.

The gleam of a polished military blade was so swift it sent a jolt of numbness through Luo Huayin’s heart. Clearly, the Silver-haired girl was no easy opponent either.

“What are you two doing here?”

Gu Xuanyu asked in a cold voice, her pristine military uniform billowing in the wind, showcasing her stunning, heroic demeanor.

“That Violet wants to snatch a woman. Don’t think I’m this idle.”

Feeling the pincer movement from both sides, Luo Huayin scoffed. Though seething inwardly, she had no choice but to temporarily seek help from her old rival with the dark green hair, who stood not far away.

Noticing Luo Huayin’s predicament, the green tea b*tch stepped lightly, moving to her side to remotely confront the now-free Fading Star. She softly mocked the former Chief.

“Miss Former Chief, it seems you’ve found yourself in a bit of trouble, haven’t you?”

The voice felt like an invisible hand stroking the back of Luo Huayin’s neck, making her body tremble as she gritted her teeth once more.

Evidently, the two most threatening evil executives had been intercepted. The attack on the Magical Girl Academy involved not only them but also many unfamiliar faces, clearly the same evil executives who had attended the tea party that day.

“Hehehe, it’s my first time attacking the apostles’ stronghold. I hope I can have some real fun~”

In contrast, the defensive capabilities of the Magical Girl Academy were far weaker than expected. Apart from the only three magical girls and An Yueying, who was drawn in by Duanmu Jin, there were only the white-robed individuals whose strength was unknown, affiliated with the so-called White Crown.

It wasn’t that the magical girls were too weak; after all, they were facing the Tea Party’s full assault. Crucially, the leader of this charge was An Yueying, who had single-handedly subdued the entire Tea Party.

Their purpose in coming here was not invasion but to obey An Yueying’s command. Otherwise, they would likely have been unwilling to come, given the notorious reputation of the Confinement Prison.

At this moment, the arrogant white-robed figures also ascended to the rooftop. Unlike others who expended magic to fly, they preferred to look up at the evil executives, their magical fluctuations almost nonexistent, as if fearing any waste.

“Should we make a move?”

The masked figures beside her all looked at the leading masked woman, posing the question with doubt.

“Just hold them back a little. Don’t waste magic. Just prevent them from causing damage. Once they achieve their goal, they will leave quickly…”

The masked woman’s gaze inadvertently swept over the green tea b*tch in the distance, exchanging a subtle glance before falling back down towards An Yueying’s direction.

“She is truly a dangerous woman, acting without restraint, and was even once a powerful magical girl… She cannot be ignored.

But her power alone is certainly not enough to stop An Yueying. Currently, throughout the entire Magical Girl Academy, only Miss Xinghuo has the ability to stop her, though I don’t know what her plans are…”

Qin Yuqian remained leisurely seated on a long bench, neither frantically hiding like a student nor intending to act. She simply admired the scene, like a detached spectator.

“An Yueying, huh? An interesting character, but I can’t let her run wild like this… I need to find an opportunity to talk to her.”

Qin Yuqian looked up at the moon, her gaze meeting that of the masked woman on the rooftop. She couldn’t help but smile.

“Why are you looking at me? I can’t make a move.”

Amidst the standoff, Shen Congqing also arrived to meet the challenge. Seeing twelve figures scattered in the sky, she did not retreat but swiftly advanced, seeking out her old rival, Tang Nuo, who had once humiliated her.

Though she didn’t understand what these individuals intended, even with a disparity in strength, she absolutely could not retreat before the ordinary people.

‘But why isn’t Xiao Chi here? She can’t possibly be sleeping at a time like this…’

Meanwhile, in Ye Qing’s room.

“Xiao Chi, why don’t you come with me?”

Asked sincerely by Ye Qing, Liu Qingruo felt a little flustered, her smooth toes wiggling inside her shoes.

“But I’m a magical girl…”

“She used to be a magical girl too, you know.”

Ye Qing pointed to An Yueying, who smiled and nodded.

Liu Qingruo was momentarily stunned, then asked in confusion,

“Then why did she join an evil organization…?”

“That evil organization doesn’t stop you from being a magical girl.”

An Yueying immediately saw that the red-haired girl was easy to persuade, and promptly began her usual recruitment tactics.

“Besides, there’s a super cute mascot to cheer you on…”

An Yueying hugged Ye Qing, pressing her against her chest and showcasing her to Liu Qingruo.

“See? Super cute, right? Oh, look, she’s even blushing…”
