Join the ServerBai Ji’s alluring—or perhaps bizarre—action utterly dumbfounded Su Mu, leaving him speechless for a long time.
Brucie, keenly aware, lowered his head, determined not to see anything he shouldn’t. He slowed his steps, almost retreating backward, to give Su Mu and Bai Ji ample private space.
Bai Ji, enduring the flush on her face, maintained her provocative pose: lifting her black robe and slapping her thigh.
Seeing Su Mu’s complete lack of reaction, a flicker of confusion crossed her mind.
“Your Highness, how was that?”
Su Mu snapped back to reality. He silently averted his gaze and asked awkwardly,
“Ah Bai, what exactly are you doing?”
“Your Highness, I am seducing you!”
Bai Ji declared with righteous conviction.
Su Mu’s mind was practically smoking, provoked by this infuriating contrast in her demeanor. It was a bizarre scene, devoid of any genuine seduction, yet it surprisingly stirred a strange excitement within him.
He cleared his throat, placing a clenched fist to his mouth, and adopted a serious posture.
“Seducing… *cough*, Ah Bai, who taught you all this?”
Bai Ji answered honestly, “I saw Lady Pera seducing you in this manner.”
Su Mu’s forehead immediately creased with a row of dark lines.
He finally understood why Bai Ji’s actions had felt so strangely familiar. This was precisely what that perverted little fox had done to him after he returned from the brothel—even her words were identical!
“Ah Bai, how could you possibly learn such a stunt from that perverted fox?!”
“Because I saw that it worked very well when Lady Pera did it.”
Su Mu froze for a moment. “Worked well? Where did you get that idea, huh?”
Bai Ji asked, bewildered, “But, Your Highness, weren’t you… erect at the time?”
Su Mu: …
A flush of mortified crimson instantly spread across his face.
Damn it, he had quickly suppressed it! How had Bai Ji noticed?
This was, without a doubt, the most socially humiliating moment of his life.
Su Mu’s toes curled, gripping the floor in embarrassment. He wished he could dig a three-bedroom apartment into the ground and vanish inside it immediately.
“Did I make a mistake?”
Bai Ji asked, a hint of disappointment in her voice.
Su Mu didn’t answer. Instead, he changed the subject.
“Ah Bai, why did you suddenly decide to… er, seduce me?”
Bai Ji replied earnestly, “Because it seems Your Highness is about to be led astray by those smelly men. I must help Your Highness correct your path!”
Understanding dawned on Su Mu, and he gnashed his teeth, silently cursing.
‘Damn Roland and Fukus! Slandering me like this!’
When he saw them again, he would definitely show them exactly why flowers were so red!
Su Mu forced a smile to his face, defending himself. “Ah Bai, don’t listen to their nonsense. I’m perfectly normal; there’s no need for this.”
Bai Ji nodded cooperatively, but her heart was filled with two large words:
‘No way!’
The first characteristic of someone with such tendencies was always adamantly claiming to be normal.
‘His Highness actually exhibited this symptom, which means the situation is already very bad. I must find Pera quickly and devise more ways to help Su Mu correct himself!’
Seeing Bai Ji finally quiet down, Su Mu let out a sigh of relief.
Yet, his heart remained unsettled.
During their silent journey, the image of Bai Ji performing that action—awkward yet endearing—kept flashing in his mind.
Su Mu’s heart began to beat even faster.
‘What was this feeling of being somewhat moved?’
The pounding in his chest subtly threatened to overwhelm him.
Suddenly, a crimson blur flashed before Su Mu’s eyes.
In his mind, the cute and shy Bai Ji was instantly replaced by a figure wielding a blood-stained longsword, grinning maniacally and grotesquely under the dark moonlight, mercilessly hacking at him again and again.
Su Mu jolted awake from his rosy fantasy, drenched in a cold sweat.
He clutched his slightly dizzy head, quickly reining in his thoughts, refusing to dwell on it further.
‘Yes, he had planned everything…’
‘Even if she was cute, what good would it do?’
‘She would only be a temporary tool for him.’
Su Mu’s heart grew cold. He lowered his hand, his eyes regaining their usual clarity, all emotions deeply hidden within the dark recesses of his heart.
“Let’s hurry. We’ll rest for a bit when we get back. We still have to continue cultivating the Sword Body this afternoon.”
Su Mu said, quickening his pace.
****
It was the hour of Wei, with the afternoon just past its midpoint.
Within the Second Prince’s bedchamber, another bone-chilling scream echoed.
Having gained experience from last time, Bai Ji’s strikes were now even more precise.
Each blow left a deep red mark on Su Mu’s body, which was considerably more robust than before.
Su Mu had initially believed that with his previous experience, he absolutely wouldn’t let out such embarrassing screams this time.
However, facts proved him wrong.
Last time, he hadn’t screamed again only because he was too exhausted to do so. This time, having just eaten and rested, feeling full of energy, he successfully made his screams even more horrifying.
Despite the screams, Su Mu’s sword-wielding movements didn’t falter in the slightest.
He adopted the standard sword-raising stance, swinging his sword with a complete and fluid motion. His movements were more precise and infused with greater power than before.
Evidently, the immense boost from his Strength attribute wasn’t solely reflected in the change of his screams…
Beside him, Brucie, who Su Mu had asked to observe his training, watched in stunned disbelief.
He stared wide-eyed at the miserable Su Mu, roaring in his heart:
‘You call this training?!!’
‘Was he crazy, or was the world crazy?’
He had never seen such an outrageous and brutal method of physical conditioning.
Watching the increasing number of wounds on Su Mu’s body, Brucie could no longer suppress his sympathy. He stepped forward angrily to intervene.
“Enough! Don’t continue! At this rate, let alone training, His Highness’s body won’t be able to withstand it; it will break down!”
Bai Ji ignored Brucie, continuing her actions, striking every part of Su Mu’s upper body inch by inch, meticulously.
In a lull between screams, Su Mu managed to squeeze out some words of reassurance.
“Don’t worry, it’s fine, ah—…!!!, re-rest assured… ah—!!!”
Seeing Su Mu in such a state, how could Brucie possibly rest assured?
Although he and Su Mu had only met today, the warmth and profound emotion Su Mu had evoked in him had already solidified his resolve to become his friend. Not to mention the added layer of Su Mu being his employer; how could he stand by and watch Su Mu be tortured like this?
Brucie, indignant, believed Bai Ji’s abusive training method was utterly excessive. He charged forward, intending to stop her.
But Bai Ji’s title as a Sword Saint was not for show. With a skillful twist of her body, her wooden sword parried Brucie’s hand, and she kicked him flying backward.
“I’ll give you a chance.”
Bai Ji suddenly declared. “Take a wooden sword from over there and attack me. If you can strike my body even once, I will let His Highness rest. How about that?”
Brucie felt a surge of humiliated indignation at being underestimated.
Without another word, he snatched a wooden sword from the nearby pile, driven by the desire to free Su Mu from this torment and to prove his own strength.
He brought his legs together, stood ramrod straight, one hand clenched into a fist behind his back, the other holding the wooden sword, naturally hanging down.
This striking stance was his alone: the starting form of the Illyrians Sword Art.
Brucie’s fervent gaze fixed on Bai Ji. He declared,
“Illyrians style, Brucie, I request your instruction!”
