Chapter 2: The Real Yandere Revealed

Mu An lightly flicked his fingers. The silk fabric felt quite nice, yet he raised a eyebrow. “What smelly man has worn these clothes, and you dare bring them to me?”

“No! No, they’re completely new,” the junior disciple quickly explained, his hands tightening on the garments. “Senior brother, I had these custom-made at the Celestial Garments Pavilion a month ago. They’ve never been worn.”

“Since you specially ordered them, how could I take what others cherish?” Mu An waved his hand dismissively. “Wear them yourself.”

“But…” But these were tailored for you, senior brother.

Who in Qingyun Sect didn’t know of senior brother Mu An’s peerless beauty? Moreover, his cultivation talent ranked among the top ten in the world. He was the very picture of a brilliant youth, admired and adored by countless people.

Many had secretly prepared one or two high-quality gifts, hoping that when fate brought them face to face, they might curry a little favor.

But senior brother Mu An rarely accepted such items.

Just then, Mu An lightly waved his fingers and vanished without a trace.

Mu An returned to his own courtyard, pushed open the gate, and bolted it shut from the inside.

Completely relaxing, he cast a cleansing spell on himself and collapsed onto the soft bed.

“Ah~ I’m exhausted.”

[Ah~ I’m exhausted.]

“You’re just a system that hands out tasks—what are you tired of?” Mu An rolled his eyes and complained.

[Don’t underestimate my workload, okay? Supervising you is also very exhausting.]

“Then let’s switch places. You act for a few days.”

[Can’t do that. I’m not as twisted as you.]

Mu An snorted lightly. “That’s called acting talent.”

“I’m very proper in real life, you know.”

After humming a couple of times, Mu An felt even sleepier and let himself drift off.

[You sleep, then I’ll hibernate for a bit too.] The system idly cleared some data and let itself slip into a brief rest.

The night was dark, the moon high. The ink-black mountains were like a painting, and wild geese passed without a trace.

In the silent courtyard, a white figure flashed past. Long, slender fingers gently stroked the wooden door.

The latch on the door silently loosened; one push and it opened.

The pale phantom quietly arrived before the wooden bed. A breeze gently billowed the white gauze curtain.

A delicate hand lifted the curtain, revealing the quietly sleeping youth within.

On his fair face, his expression was soft and warm, lacking the flamboyant and wicked air of daytime. His ink-black hair lay scattered in disarray across his chest, accentuating the paleness of his collarbone.

A spell was cast. The youth sank into a deep sleep, losing consciousness.

The white figure’s Adam’s apple rolled slightly. He leaned down, drawing closer and closer to the youth’s collarbone, and softly placed a kiss there.

His whole body trembled faintly. His usually clear, restrained eyes were now thick with intense desire.

If the system were to turn on now and see this person, it would surely emit a shriek of alarm.

Shen Shengqing gently stroked Mu An’s cheek with his fingers, feeling the smooth, tender skin. His lips parted unconsciously, parched with longing.

“Mu An… Mu An…” he murmured under his breath, unable to restrain himself as he kissed the youth’s cheek, sucking gently on the soft flesh. His breathing grew heavier, and he placed gentle kisses on the tip of Mu An’s nose, on his brow bone.

He was like the most frenzied spirit, about to devour the other’s essence.

But he only kissed and licked incessantly, like a cat grooming itself. Finally, he stopped at the youth’s thin lips. His Adam’s apple rolled slightly, but he held himself back.

He had long since discovered that Mu An had been possessed by another soul.

Before the possession, Mu An’s eyes when looking at him always held an undisguisable longing, so filthy that Shen Shengqing had wanted to tear him limb from limb.

But the Shen Xuanji Sect had once divined for him that he would encounter a great calamity in his life. If he survived it, the road ahead would be smooth, with hope of ascending to immortality. And this calamity was tied to Mu An.

Thus, Shen Shengqing had taken Mu An as his disciple, wanting to see just what kind of calamity this boy could bring him.

As the days passed, he felt only disdain for Mu An and saw no sign of what calamity the other could possibly cause.

Then one day, Mu An changed. His gaze and demeanor shifted. Though he still spoke fawning words, his eyes were clear and bright.

Those beautiful peach-blossom eyes always held a hint of laughter, their light shimmering—but they held only affection, not desire.

Shen Shengqing could see that the current Mu An did not love him.

Although Mu An always said things that made Shen Shengqing’s heart race, there was no genuine emotion behind them.

How tormenting.

At some point, Shen Shengqing had instead become the one with the impure thoughts.

Day and night, he couldn’t stop thinking about that face.

Shen Shengqing’s fingers moved downward, lifting the youth’s fingers and bringing them to his lips, placing a faint kiss there.

“You clearly feel no desire for me, so why do you watch me bathe?”

Murmuring to himself, Shen Shengqing unfastened the youth’s clothes.

He revealed the fair chest beneath, and his breathing involuntarily grew ragged. He restrained himself and turned the youth over.

Even though he had held back his strength when striking, red marks still remained on the youth’s back.

His heart aching, he reached out with trembling fingers to touch them.

Shen Shengqing didn’t understand why Mu An always provoked him into whipping him. But if he didn’t whip him, Mu An would find some other misdeed to beg for punishment.

It was as if it were a mission he had to complete.

To satisfy Mu An, Shen Shengqing could only suppress the pain in his heart and strike ruthlessly.

The fair back, tinged pink with the marks of the wounds, was inexplicably alluring.

Now, he devoutly leaned down and kissed the red marks, the pity in his eyes nearly spilling over.

In his sleep, Mu An seemed to sense the pain and his body trembled slightly.

“It’s all my fault. I should have been gentler.”

Shen Shengqing’s eyes were filled with deep, unreadable darkness.

He applied some of the cool ointment to his hand and gently spread it over Mu An’s wounds.

Only after finishing did he lose control and wrap his arms loosely around Mu An’s body.

His Adam’s apple bobbed slightly as he rubbed against the young man’s neck and took a deep breath.

Only then did he slowly sit up and dress the young man.

Finally, he pulled Mu An into his arms and closed his eyes to rest.

The next morning.

Sunlight streamed through the window and into the room. The young man lying on the bed trembled his eyelashes and opened his eyes in confusion.

Ever since transmigrating here, his sleep quality had been getting better and better. He could often fall asleep in an instant and sleep through the entire night without dreaming.

“Today’s hard work is the capital for returning home tomorrow! Fight on, Mu An!”

Mu An sprang upright from the bed.

Hearing Mu An’s slogan, the system helplessly played along.

【Today’s hard work is the capital for leveling up. Fight on! System 101!】

【Today’s mission: During the sect competition, Mu An loses to the senior disciple of Yunhe Peak because of the injuries he sustained yesterday.】

【After the sect competition ends, Shizun criticizes Mu An for neglecting his cultivation. Mu An becomes furious and even more determined to drag his lofty Shizun down into the mud and have his way with him.】

“Fine, fine, fine! The moment I open my eyes, you want me to get beaten up.”

The fighting spirit Mu An had just built up immediately withered.

【Don’t worry, Host. I’ll maximize the pain-perception suppression so you won’t feel even the slightest bit of pain.】

“There’s no need to go that far. Keep it at fifty percent, at least. That way, I’ll know when I’m supposed to act like I’m in pain.”

【Okay, Host!】The system agreed without hesitation. 【Don’t worry. This system won’t let you actually kick the bucket. If a dangerous situation arises, I’ll activate the emergency self-protection protocol.】

“You better keep your word.” Mu An’s mood improved considerably.

Wasn’t it just acting as a gloomy, yandere villain who had been defeated?
