Join the ServerA slender hand picked up a cushion that had gone slightly askew. Jiang Yan lowered his head slightly, and through the lingering fragrance on the cushion, he could almost imagine Mu An lying there last night.
The scent of Mu An’s shampoo was different from his own—it was a sweeter floral fragrance, faint and elusive, something you could only smell if you got close.
When the doorbell rang again, Jiang Yan set the cushion down and slowly opened the door.
Outside, Mu An—still completely unaware that he had long since exposed himself—tilted his head slightly and flashed a brilliant smile, “Good morning, Jiang Yan.”
“Good morning.” Jiang Yan’s eyes curved, his entire being radiating a sense of pleasure.
Mu An felt as though he were watching a hundred flowers bloom at once, and his heart couldn’t help but flutter softly in response.
He lowered his eyes, “I packed some porridge and side dishes for you. See if this one tastes good.”
Jiang Yan reached out habitually to take them, ushering Mu An into the room.
At the dining table, Mu An noticed that Jiang Yan was in an exceptionally good mood, smiling at him for no reason every now and then, a smile that left Mu An feeling a bit creeped out.
He couldn’t stop himself from yawning; after performing his yandere behavior last night, he had fallen asleep on the sofa, but he had only managed five hours of sleep at best.
Seeing this, Jiang Yan said, “I only have scenes to film in the morning, and I have a livestream in the afternoon. You should take a break this afternoon.”
Mu An shook his head, his gaze firm, “I can’t. I have to help you; that’s my job.”
“Be good.” Jiang Yan’s eyes curved tenderly, “I can do the livestream alone. I’m the boss, so you have to listen to me.”
Mu An wanted to argue, but met Jiang Yan’s unquestionable gaze and could only nod in silence.
Internally, however, he was jumping for joy—nothing beat a paid day off.
***
[Yanyan, that cheek-heart gesture!]
[So handsome, so handsome!]
[Take care of your health, Jiang Yan!]
[When is filming wrapping up, Yanyan? I want to see the drama already!]
[How long will the livestream last, Yanyan?]
Jiang Yan’s livestream was as lively as ever. Jiang Yan even spotted a comment sliding by from the account “Chief Manager Mu Mu.”
He felt a hint of sweetness in his heart. Yet, since he’d promised to get some rest, why was he still online?
Jiang Yan lowered his head and sent a message to Mu An, ordering him not to watch the livestream.
Mu An’s eyes widened. How had he been exposed? Jiang Yan actually knew he was “Chief Manager Mu Mu”!
Then all the obsessive fan commentary he’d posted in the past must have been seen, too.
Mu An’s ear tips turned slightly hot; he tossed his phone aside and dived straight under the covers.
Sleep is sleep!
Meanwhile, in Su Jicheng’s livestream, while it remained busy, it was noticeably deserted compared to Jiang Yan’s viewer count.
A comment flashed rapidly past Su Jicheng’s eyes: [They both entered the industry via the same survival show; the one who didn’t debut is actually more popular than the one who did.]
Although the comment was deleted by a moderator and the user blocked shortly after, it inevitably soured his mood.
An ominous premonition ignited in Su Jicheng’s heart. He glanced at his assistant, who nodded slightly.
That Jiang Yan had the gall to host a livestream today of all days. With a cold face, Su Jicheng texted his assistant, ordering him to immediately buy tens of thousands of viewers.
He wouldn’t lose to anyone, certainly not to Jiang Yan. He only regretted not finding a higher-quality thug when he hired someone to disfigure Jiang Yan’s face back then.
[Is baby in a bad mood?]
[Baby is so handsome! Even more handsome when you’re cold-faced!]
[Some haters, quit trying to stir up trouble!]
Su Jicheng glanced at the comments sent by fans, his eyes shifting, “Everyone, don’t misunderstand. The set is very harmonious. It’s just that some actors are a bit of a perfectionist; a single scene was filmed many times, so we have to work overtime a lot. I haven’t been sleeping very well lately.”
No one in the comment section had mentioned the film set, but Su Jicheng’s ambiguous words successfully focused everyone’s attention there.
[Take care of your health, Cheng-bao! Get more rest.]
[Some actors? Let me guess, does the surname start with Jiang?]
[Some people always have to reshoot their scenes; it’s a pity our Cheng-bao has to work overtime because of them.]
Su Jicheng pursed his lips, “I am truly grateful to have you babies accompanying me all the way. With you all here, no matter how bitter or tired I am, I will persevere.”
The man’s sincere gaze instantly broke the hearts of his fans, and a “revenge” campaign against Jiang Yan silently unfolded.
Looking at the influx of comments mocking his acting skills in his own livestream, Jiang Yan felt a moment of confusion, but he didn’t pay it much mind.
On the other side, Su Jicheng’s livestream was forcibly shut down shortly after for violating rules.
The oblivious fans became even more convinced that someone had set a trap for their idol, even going so far as to shut down a normal livestream.
“You idiot!”
Su Jicheng slapped his young assistant across the face, “I told you to buy viewers, so you went and bought dead bots! Didn’t you know to buy traffic promotion instead? Now look! My account is restricted!”
The young assistant hung his head, attempting to retort with grievance, “You sent the message telling me to buy viewers.”
Su Jicheng was so furious he kicked him, “Idiot! I don’t need an idiot like you!”
“Brother Su, don’t be angry, don’t be angry!” The staff member on the side quickly came over to mediate, “Let me just count this as getting off work early. There are plenty of fun places in S City; let me just treat it like a vacation and go look around.”
It took quite a bit of persuasion from the staff member to calm Su Jicheng down, but Su Jicheng had already contacted his manager, telling him to find him a new assistant.
In his mind, Mu An’s appearance suddenly flashed past—that handsome youth following behind Jiang Yan looked quite endearing, “I want someone who looks good. If they’re ugly, don’t even send them over.”
If Jiang Yan had those standards, he couldn’t fall short either.

When Mu An woke up from his sleep, he found that the internet had turned upside down once again. Su Jicheng’s fans had inexplicably started attacking Jiang Yan’s fans indiscriminately, and both sides were arguing fiercely.
After getting a basic idea of the situation, Mu An immediately joined the fray, fully demonstrating the sheer offensive power of a toxic solo fan. He cursed people out without using a single profanity, frustrating Su Jicheng’s fans to the point of stamping their feet in rage.
They actually managed to dig up Mu An’s personal details.
[Haha~ Look who it is! Turned out to be Jiang Yan’s assistant, no wonder you’re so worked up.]
[Truly an obedient good dog~ Daddy’s gonna make sure your phone gets blown up with calls real soon!]
However, every post published by anti-fans containing Mu An’s contact info or photo ID was deleted within less than a second. In the end, their accounts were even muted directly.
Mu An let out a cold snort and turned around to report them to the police officers, filing complaints against them for privacy violation; without exception, every single one of them received a summons from their local police officers that very night.
“What a joke! As if someone with a system like me could be threatened! Grandpa’s gonna make sure your phone gets blown up with calls from the police officers real soon!”
The system acted somewhat formal, [First time acting as a backer, I’m actually a bit nervous.]
“System, keep up the good work! Upgrading next year won’t just be a dream!”
Mu An’s secret identity was ultimately made known to everyone, and the “Chief Manager Mu Mu” account was instantly flooded with a swarm of Jiang Yan’s fans.
He couldn’t help but feel a bit regretful that he could no longer speak his mind freely, considering every word he uttered from now on might represent Jiang Yan’s stance.
