Join the ServerShen Shengqing watched Qing Ya’s body dissolve into ash and smoke, his expression dark as ink.
“Judging by his movement techniques, he should be the demon clan’s Second Elder, Qing Ya.” Lin Yian withdrew his long spear and turned to look at Mu An, who sat dumbfounded on a rock.
The compass in Wei Nianqin’s hand quietly pointed toward the youth sitting on the stone.
She frowned and stepped forward a few paces, but Shen Shengqing beat her to it.
To her astonishment, the normally aloof Wanghua Immortal Lord bent down and lifted the youth into his arms.
The blood-stained green robe thus stained the pristine white garments.
Wei Nianqin was shocked. She had never seen Shen Shengqing so close to anyone.
“I’m taking my disciple to tend to his wounds. Please make yourselves at home.” Shen Shengqing tossed back a sentence over his shoulder and vanished from sight.
The Sect Leader explained to the remaining few, “Mu An is Shengqing’s only personal disciple. He usually values him greatly. His haste is understandable.”
Hearing this, Wei Nianqin’s doubts lessened slightly, yet she still inexplicably felt that their relationship seemed too intimate.
She lowered her gaze to the compass in her hand. “That disciple’s wounds carry demonic energy from the demon clan.”
Having demonic energy struck into one’s body made it difficult for the moment to determine whether Mu An himself was a demon or merely tainted by the energy.
“Then we’ll test him once his injuries have healed.” Lin Yian had no intention of dismissing his suspicion of Mu An so easily.
On the contrary, he felt that Mu An was even more suspicious—what kind of person would need to be contacted by a demon elder?
Wei Nianqin looked up in the direction the two had departed, a foreboding feeling kindling in her heart.

Mu An arrived at Huayao Peak.
The moment the Peak Master saw Shen Shengqing rushing in while carrying a bloodied figure, he jumped in fright.
Only when Shen Shengqing laid Mu An on the bed did the blood-soaked youth give him a slightly sheepish smile.
Recognizing Mu An, the Peak Master instantly relaxed. If it was Shen Shengqing’s personal disciple, it was probably just superficial wounds. Shen Shengqing always made a big deal out of nothing when it came to his own disciple.
“Hurry and examine him.” Shen Shengqing’s face was dark, and he was very dissatisfied with the Peak Master’s casual attitude.
The Peak Master shot him a glance, then helplessly reached out to take Mu An’s pulse. When he moved to remove Mu An’s outer robe to check the wounds, Shen Shengqing stopped him.
“The wounds were inflicted by demonic energy. I’ll tend to them myself later.”
At the mention of demonic energy, the Peak Master’s expression also darkened. “The demon clan is truly arrogant. They’ve actually managed to infiltrate the sect.”
He picked up a brush, quickly wrote out a prescription, and handed it to a disciple nearby.
“The injuries aren’t severe, but the demonic energy has damaged his internal organs. Be careful with your cultivation for a while—don’t let your breath go awry.”
Mu An obediently nodded.
After receiving the medicinal ingredients, Shen Shengqing bent down to pick up Mu An again.
Mu An instinctively wanted to push him away, but remembering his persona, he instead turned the push into an embrace, wrapping both arms around his master’s neck.
Shen Shengqing felt those soft hands. His movements paused for a moment before returning to normal. He held the youth securely and vanished from the spot with a flash.
The nearby disciple watched, his eyelids twitching uncontrollably. Something felt off.
The Peak Master stroked his beard and shook his head. “Shengqing spoils his disciple far too much.”
The disciple silently nodded. [The Wanghua Immortal Lord treats Senior Brother Mu An almost like a cultivation partner.]
Realizing what he was thinking, he shook his head violently.
[Impossible! Absolutely impossible! How could it be romantic love between them? The Wanghua Immortal Lord probably just dotes on him like a son.]

Inside the room.
Shen Shengqing laid Mu An on the bed.
Mu An had just sat up when a hand reached in front of his waist. He instinctively wanted to dodge, but forcibly held still.
Shen Shengqing’s warm hand landed on Mu An’s belt and slowly untied it.
Then he placed his hand on Mu An’s chest, intending to remove his clothes.
Mu An pressed his lips together, feeling he shouldn’t remain so quiet.
So, drawing from the yandere characters he had played, he suddenly let out a soft moan.
Shen Shengqing’s hand instantly froze.
Mu An’s face flushed slightly as he looked timidly at his master. “Master, I… I just felt pain.”
This feeble attempt at a cover-up successfully reddened the corners of Shen Shengqing’s eyes.
He lowered his gaze slightly to hide the desire within. “Your master will be gentle. Bear with it.”
Mu An silently blushed, turned his head away, and pressed his thin lips together.
[Oh my god, what kind of suggestive talk is this? If I weren’t still here, I’d really think you two were up to something.]
Hearing the system’s voice, Mu An relaxed a little. “How is that possible? Listen to what the master said—clearly he didn’t get my hint.”
“Anyway, my master undresses me so slowly, it’s embarrassingly teasing.”
After quite a while, Mu An’s clothes were finally removed.
Mu An sat on the bed wearing only a large pair of shorts, facing his master who was still fully dressed and cold-faced. He felt rather embarrassed.
After his master channeled his energy to expel the demonic energy, he brought ointment to apply to the wounds.
Mu An genuinely felt too embarrassed to let his master apply the ointment. Although the lecherous yandere he was playing should be craving his master’s touch,
he himself was still an innocent young man who couldn’t stand someone else’s hands roaming all over his body.
He looked up, a hint of shyness in his eyes, and snatched the ointment. “Master, this disciple will apply it himself. I wouldn’t want to get medicinal smell all over you.”
Seeing the ointment snatched from his hands, Shen Shengqing’s knuckles trembled slightly, carrying a trace of faint dissatisfaction.
Seeing that the other still refused to leave, standing there like a block of wood staring at him, Mu An felt too awkward to even apply his wound medication.
He had a creeping, bizarre illusion of being ogled.
Thinking it over, his master must have intended to question him about the demon clan, which was why he hadn’t left, prompting Mu An to take the initiative and speak up. “Shizun, you must want to ask about my encounter with the demon clan.”
“At around three o’clock this afternoon, I was thinking of making some clay-baked chicken for Shizun to try, so I went into the back mountain. By the time my clay-baked chicken was done, I noticed a disciple approaching me. As soon as he got close, he started complimenting me, seemingly trying to get close to me.”
“But I always felt his voice and his appearance gave off a bizarre, discordant vibe, so I kept my guard up. Later on, he started trying to drive a wedge between Shizun and me. Sensing something was wrong, I struck him with a palm strike, and he instinctively used his demonic energy, exposing himself. The events that followed were just as Shizun saw.”
Once Mu An finished speaking, he cautiously observed his master’s reaction, waiting for any further questioning.
Instead, he heard his master ask in a cold voice, “How did he drive a wedge between us?”
“Hmm?” Mu An blinked cutely. “Well…”
“He said Shizun hasn’t recruited new disciples in a long time, leaving only myself under your tutelage, yet I failed to win first place in the sect grand competition. He claimed rumors were circulating that you were disappointed in me and were about to recruit new disciples.”
Mu An lowered his eyes, feigning heartbreak.
“Never.” Shen Shengqing gently lifted his face with his fingers, gazing into his slightly startled eyes with an earnest expression. “I only have one disciple in this lifetime.”
“I will kill him.”
Mu An was stunned for a moment before realizing Shen Shengqing meant he would kill Qing Ya for trying to drive a wedge between them and for injuring him.
The better Shen Shengqing treated Mu An, the more guilty Mu An felt inside.
Seeing that Mu An felt too shy to apply his medicine with him standing here, Shen Shengqing found an excuse to step outside.
Mu An let out a breath as he looked at the empty room.
Why do I always get the feeling Shizun likes me a lot?
Straight men are always so careless with their boundaries, always leaving people misunderstood.
