Join the ServerWith his eyes closed, Doyoon couldn’t even see where he was going.
Yet somehow, he devoured Haesu without hesitation.
He kissed him as though completely consumed by the moment, biting softly, drinking him in, leaving no room for restraint.
When a strand of saliva slipped beneath Haesu’s chin, Haesu let out a shaky sound and finally pushed away the tongue exploring the roof of his mouth.
“Ah… haa…”
On the way toward the bedroom, Haesu’s shoulder bumped against the wall.
After it happened a few times, Doyoon simply lifted him into his arms.
“Ah!”
As his feet left the ground, Haesu instinctively wrapped his legs around Doyoon’s waist.
The sudden loss of balance disappeared the moment he settled there.
Looking up at him, Doyoon kissed him again.
Haesu had thought their first kiss couldn’t possibly become any deeper.
The second one proved him wrong.
Their soaked lips met again, strangely cool against one another.
It was slower.
More lingering.
Yet it didn’t last long.
With their noses pressed together, Haesu broke away first, gasping hot breaths beneath Doyoon’s face.
Doyoon, who had never learned how to force anything upon Haesu, couldn’t bring himself to press further.
“Ha…”
“Your breath is so warm, Haesu.”
“…Then I guess we’re both a mess.”
The thin strand of saliva connecting them disappeared as Doyoon continued placing tiny kisses around the corner of Haesu’s lips.
Only then did the reality of what they had just done settle over them.
The frantic way they had tangled together moments ago almost felt unreal.
He had kissed someone.
For the first time in a very long time.
That single fact crashed repeatedly through Haesu’s mind.
The man before him wasn’t Kwon Seha.
Even so…
he hadn’t pushed him away.
The kiss had been deep.
Long.
What have I done?
Before he even had time to think, Doyoon guided him out of the living room.
Neither hurried nor slow, his steady footsteps carried Haesu toward the bedroom.
By the time he realized it, his head had already settled onto a pillow.
He was lying on Doyoon’s bed.
The same bed he had occupied so comfortably not long ago.
The moment he lay down, Doyoon’s scent surrounded him.
It almost felt like being held in his arms.
“I had a dream…”
This room.
The familiar blanket.
The same scent.
Haesu remembered kissing someone here.
He had always believed it had been Seha.
Even through the haze of that memory, the kiss had felt sweet.
“I’ll get ready first this morning… then I’ll head out too.”
“Since you apologized, I won’t be mad if you kiss me before you leave.”
“Mm… okay… that’s enough… stop…”
Held between Doyoon’s arms, Haesu could no longer avoid the truth growing clearer with every passing second.
It hadn’t been a dream.
It wasn’t his imagination.
The person who had kissed him…
had never been Kwon Seha.
Haesu abruptly pushed himself upright on the bed.
The intensity of Doyoon’s gaze frightened him.
“It was you.”
“That day…”
“I thought I imagined everything.”
“I thought it was just a dream…”
“…”
“It wasn’t.”
“It wasn’t Seha.”
His senses only seemed to return after the kiss had ended.
He didn’t want them back.
Pain twisted across his face.
“I’m sorry.”
Doyoon’s thumb rested lightly against Haesu’s waist, brushing over the fabric of his shirt in a quiet attempt to comfort him.
“I guess…”
“…it didn’t matter if you mistook me for Kwon Seha.”
“Back then too…”
“I think I wanted to kiss you just like this.”
“Why…”
“Why do you treat your own feelings so carelessly?”
Haesu hated himself for not recognizing Doyoon that day.
He hated the fact that only Kwon Seha could draw out sides of him no one else ever could.
Something Doyoon had done in a moment of impulse had burdened his heart ever since.
Now it returned as punishment.
The anguish spreading across Haesu’s face was proof enough.
“I know…”
“…”
“I was jealous.”
“I envied him.”
“I wanted everything hurting you…”
“to disappear.”
Haesu’s hands trembled.
Then his shoulders.
His arms.
Even his jaw.
His entire body shook as though it couldn’t bear the weight of the truth rushing toward him.
Eventually, tears spilled down his cheeks.
Even the sound of Haesu’s uneven breathing made Doyoon ache.
And somewhere inside…
he wanted to hold onto him forever.
“Because once there was nothing left…”
“I wanted to be the one standing there.”
The emotions rising inside them had become impossible to control.
Haesu felt it too.
There was something between them they both understood.
To you… I’m nothing.
Just as the person you love no longer sees you.
Both of us have been abandoned.
The Seha who lost his memories abandoned Haesu…
“Sleep with me tonight.”
“…”
“Just for today.”
“Forget Kwon Seha.”
That was Doyoon’s proposal.
It meant asking Haesu to choose him…
if only for a single night.
“I think…”
“I’ll regret it.”
“Who will?”
“You?”
“Both of us.”
Even so, Haesu willingly leaned into the hand he himself had once let go.
As though he had been waiting, Doyoon held him carefully in both arms.
It felt less like an embrace…
and more as though Haesu had entrusted himself entirely to him.
“Don’t worry…”
“You won’t have to carry any of the regret.”
“…”
“I’ll bear all of it.”
Holding Haesu close, Doyoon rested gentle kisses along the pale line of his neck and shoulder.
One after another, faint crimson marks bloomed against his fair skin.
At the same time, Doyoon quietly undid the buttons of his own shirt.
The longer he remained close to Haesu, the harder it became to suppress everything he had buried for so long.
Someone had once said that feelings left bottled up would eventually fester.
Only now did he understand what that meant.
His heart felt swollen to the point of bursting.
Was this really love?
Or was it simply desire?
Whatever it was…
he could no longer deny how desperately he had always wanted Haesu.
“Mm… ah…”
Wherever Doyoon’s lips wandered, warmth lingered behind.
A faint shiver escaped Haesu.
His head tipped back almost on its own.
His arms instinctively wrapped around Doyoon as though searching for something steady to hold onto.
The quiet of the room was broken only by their uneven breathing.
Everything else faded away.
