Chapter 17: The Dungeon Interrogation

“Speak…” I forced out, my neck constricted. “Speak… what…”

“First, tell us where the Blackfeather Tribe is hiding!”

“Heh heh heh…” Tears streamed from my eyes. “This is the first I’ve heard of the Blackfeather Tribe. How can I tell you…” I laughed in utter despair.

Was I on the verge of a breakdown?

“Ha! Still not talking, huh?” I stared at him nervously.

I knew he was about to strike again.

In an instant, I couldn’t even tell what that demon had done. My vision went dark once more.

“Ugh…”

I was in despair. Why? Why was this happening?

‘This kind of transmigration is just so damn annoying!!!’

Why was I transported here? Why was I in a dungeon? Why! Why!

I start in a dungeon! And now I’m being tortured because of a dungeon!

Was I transmigrated just to be tormented?!

Soon, the feeling returned to my body.

And the demon’s voice echoed in my ears: “Heh, indeed, a human without any stench!” My eyes were hollow.

“Please… just let me die…” I closed my eyes and wept.

I didn’t want to live anymore. There was no point.

This kind of life, this kind of existence, this kind of suffering…

Meaningless…

But before I could finish the thought, I felt my right hand being released from the wooden frame, grasped by the demon’s large hand.

The demon: “Hmph, want to die? A mere s*ave?”

“I’m scared! I’m truly scared! Please, don’t do this anymore!” I fearfully placed my hand behind my back.

“Scared but still not telling the truth?” the demon asked me.

“I… I really don’t know anything! I can’t even read, I can’t use magic, I don’t even know who I am!!!” I shouted.

“Oh, is that so?” The demon spoke.

But the direction of the voice?

I looked down at my feet. A mass of black mist with two glowing red eyes was staring at me excitedly.

The demon let out a sickening laugh: “Hahaha!”

“Heh,” I laughed in despair, then passed out.

But this time, I… died again.

Sudden death from excessive fright.

When I woke up again… I couldn’t feel my limbs.

To be precise, it seemed I hadn’t regained control of my body.

Only my hearing remained…

In the darkness, I listened to the demon speak.

“Oh dear, how did he get scared to death? Haha, haha.” Hearing this voice, I was already conditioned to be afraid…

Psychological trauma was inevitable.

“Why isn’t he awake yet?” ‘Heh… so he resurrected me.’

“If His Majesty learns that the Blackfeather Tribe still exists, he’ll be very pleased.” ‘His Majesty? Lith? Why? Can the Blackfeather Tribe help the demon tribe accomplish something?’

“But seeing this child struggle… silver hair, orange eyes, snow-white skin—those are indeed the hallmarks of the Blackfeather Tribe.” ‘Could he really not be from the Blackfeather Tribe?’

“This is the first time I’ve seen a member of the Blackfeather Tribe beg. I’ve never seen one so incapable of using magic…”

Creak. The door behind me opened.

“How is it? Did you get anything out of him?” ‘That voice?! No mistake, it’s that spider-headed guy!!’

“Not yet. This child just won’t talk.”

Spider-head: “Use any means necessary! We must make him talk! For Lady Lith’s sake, we have to obtain the Blackfeather Tribe’s secret treasure!”

Boom! The door closed.

‘I’m very grateful for this sudden influx of information.’
