Lihuanhuan was left speechless by my retort, yet there was little she could do to me—most of her sycophants were, after all, scrambling to my side, showering me with desperate flattery.
“Little sister, which guild are you from?”
“Our team needs a healer, want to join us for a dungeon run?”
“Our team is full of veterans, come level with us and we’ll carry you! Guaranteed clear!”
“Hey, little sis…”
“Little sis…”
When I was a man, I had never imagined men could be so terrifying!
These weren’t people; they were veritable blocks of sticky toffee!
‘Hey, haven’t you had enough?!’
‘She’s here to stir up trouble!’
‘If you keep this up, she’ll get embarrassed!’
“She’s here! Stop her! She’s our guild’s mortal enemy!”
It was Su Yingning.
She was clad in a plush, snow-white fur bandeau, revealing her flat, slender, and smooth abdomen.
Below, she wore a pair of small fur hot pants that matched the bandeau, while a white cloak billowed behind her in the wind, making her appear both incredibly alluring and heroic.
With an impassive expression, she approached step by measured step, reaching the opposite end of the single-plank bridge.
She stood firm, then lifted her gaze.
*Swoosh—*
Her longsword slid from its scabbard, pointing obliquely towards the ground.
The horde of lecherous men around me gasped, sucking in a collective breath.
They glanced at Su Yingning, then at me, seemingly making a comparison, before their faces twisted into expressions of agonizing indecision.
‘Two peerless beauties, different in style yet equally stunning, causing absolute havoc!’
‘What’s happening today?’
‘Are beautiful women free of charge?’
“I prefer the cold, dominant older sister type.”
“I like the soft, adorable little healer.”
“May I humbly ask… is it possible to choose both?”
“Choose your sister’s! Get moving! Attack, quickly!”
Lihuanhuan instantly flew into a rage.
“This woman and Sword Sweeping the World are sworn enemies; there’s no possibility of coexistence!”
“Kill her! Everyone attack! Throw spells at her and crush her to death! Let her see the vast difference between our grand guild and her ragtag guild!”
“Lihuanhuan? So it is you,” Su Yingning recognized the woman she loathed to her very core at a glance.
New grievances and old hatreds surged forth instantly, causing her sword-wielding hand to tremble slightly.
Nevertheless, she took a deep breath, suppressing the urge to charge forward recklessly, and proceeded according to our pre-arranged plan.
“Attack together? Very well, you certainly can cast spells together to kill me…”
“You are a major guild, and you are undoubtedly capable of that, but in my estimation, that is all you are capable of!”
“Hmph, so what?”
“This is reality, this is the power of a collective!”
“Do you possess it? No, you do not!”
“Stop spouting sour grapes here, unless you crawl onto this bridge right now and beg me on your knees!”
“Otherwise, you can forget about crossing this bridge today!”
Lihuanhuan sneered, a proud smile twisting her lips, as she gazed at Su Yingning, who stood at one end of the single-plank bridge.
Su Yingning advanced step by slow, steady step, making her way to the middle of the single-plank bridge.
At this moment, Lihuanhuan’s hand was already raised high, poised to give the signal to cast spells the instant Su Yingning took another step forward.
“You may do so, but if you do, your Sword Sweeping the World guild will forever bear the name of cowards!”
“Of course, if you’re accustomed to being cowards, then that’s another matter entirely…”
“Ganging up on one person? Anyone can easily achieve that.”
“But I am merely a woman, standing right here, daring to stand in the middle of this single-plank bridge, and I issue a challenge to you!”
“A one-on-one duel! Do you dare? Do any of you dare?!”
Lihuanhuan was momentarily startled by Su Yingning’s imposing aura, but it lasted only for an instant.
She knew Su Yingning well, understood the foundations of her opponent’s guild, and was aware that they had no significant backing, nor could Su Yingning possibly possess formidable individual strength.
Thus, Lihuanhuan quickly concluded that Su Yingning was merely bluffing.
“Hmph, what is there to fear… You lot!”
“Who among you is willing to go up there and show her a thing or two?”
“Make her understand the height of the heavens and the depth of the earth!”
“Show her the true difference between Sword Sweeping the World and her pathetic excuse for a guild!”
“And save her from looking down on all of you again!”
“Who’s going up there?”
Lihuanhuan, of course, had no intention of stepping onto the bridge herself; as a mere healer, challenging a warrior to a duel would be suicide.
Therefore, she skillfully began to sow discord with her words.
“I’ll do it!”
“Me, me, don’t you dare snatch this from me!”
“All of you step aside, I’m going! We absolutely cannot let her look down on us!”
This clumsy attempt at instigation seemed to have been a little *too* successful.
A bewildered Lihuanhuan looked at her guild members, instantly spotting a large group of lecherous men with pig-headed expressions, and was immediately filled with rage.
“I’ll take this.”
As this sharp voice rang out, the surroundings instantly fell silent.
“It’s someone from the elite team… Ah, well, nothing for us to do then, everyone disperse!”
Every guild possessed one or several elite teams, representing the pinnacle of their combat power.
These teams were not only tasked with maintaining the guild’s peace but also served as a guarantee of its resources.
Every Saturday, guilds could initiate 5v5 elite challenge matches against other guilds, with the victor plundering ten percent of the losing guild’s resources.
Furthermore, one month after the server launch, the official organizers would host a 5v5 elite ranked team competition and a 1v1 solo ranked match, distributing substantial rewards to the guilds based on their members’ rankings.
Consequently, elite players were of paramount importance; their combat prowess, fueled by significant guild resources, was as different from that of ordinary players as clouds were from mud.
An elite player challenging two ordinary players of the same level and class was considered a baseline feat, almost a minimum expectation.
Naturally, elite teams were a luxury only afforded by major guilds; Su Yingning’s small guild had not even formed one.
This setup also existed in previous games, where whenever Gunfire Rose was targeted by smaller guilds for a plunder war, Su Yingning would simply gather a few acquaintances for a casual match, often losing more than they won.
‘This battle is certainly going to be a spectacle…’
I thought, casually cracking melon seeds, as I furtively opened the private chat channel.
“I stand right here. Come on, I won’t step ashore until I’ve slaughtered all your sycophants.”
Su Yingning’s voice was cold and clear, and her peripheral vision “casually” swept over me.
I offered a slight nod.
Su Yingning’s words stunned everyone into silence.
‘She intends to challenge an entire guild by herself!’
‘Has this beauty gone mad?!’
‘Arrogant!’
‘Utterly arrogant!’
“To kill you, I alone am enough.”
The man with the sharp, reedy voice licked his dagger, a cold sneer on his face, as he stepped onto the single-plank bridge.
He was an assassin from the elite team.
–Are you ready?– I asked in the private chat channel.
–Mm.– Su Yingning responded softly.
Our plan was simple.
Slaughter them all!
