Chapter 103: A Perverse Revelation

Twenty overlapping slashes struck the monster’s hind legs.

Each blow deepened the marks upon its flesh.

Perhaps the initial strike offered no significant effect, but as ten consecutive slashes landed on the same spot, even a monster of such formidable strength could not withstand them.

“Roar! Roar! Roar!”

Amidst the monster’s pained roars, Bai Yu severed both of its hind legs, sending its massive body crashing heavily to the ground.

Bai Yu, however, would not let such an opportunity slip by, refusing it even a moment to mend its limbs.

Propelling herself off the ground, Bai Yu launched into a leap.

[Blade of the Faceless Moon]

It was still that magnificent enchanted arcanum, as Bai Yu descended from above.

Her attack aimed directly for the monster’s head.

Blades flashed, shadows danced.

The grotesque head flew off, gushing blood that splattered across the ground.

With a casual flick, Bai Yu sent the blood from her scythe showering onto the ground, forming a graceful arc.

Out of the corner of her eye, Bai Yu observed the decapitated monster; its regenerative abilities were now completely useless, its flesh struggling to writhe upon the severed neck, yet ultimately failing to mend.

As more and more blood drained from its form, the entire monster finally collapsed.

However, the sub-space itself did not vanish, leading Bai Yu to realize that the true mastermind had yet to reveal themselves.

Nevertheless, Bai Yu was far from pleased; having wasted so much of her time and been attacked by such a perilous creature, the true objective became glaringly obvious.

Yet, events did not unfold as Bai Yu had anticipated; the expected assault never materialized, replaced instead by the sound of applause.

Accompanying it was a woman’s laughter.

The sound made Bai Yu deeply uncomfortable; she had no idea who it belonged to, but it certainly wasn’t anyone she knew.

“Who’s there?”

Bai Yu pointed her scythe at the empty space before her, her expression grave.

A faint, almost imperceptible killing intent emanated from her.

“Truly worthy of a genuine Witch, such power is beyond anyone’s reach.

Perhaps only legendary deities could compare to you.”

In an instant, a woman cloaked in black appeared before Bai Yu.

Despite the dark robes, her slender figure was still subtly discernible beneath the fabric.

Undoubtedly, the woman before her was a beauty of the highest caliber.

However, the black hood concealed her face, making it impossible for Bai Yu to discern her features.

“What gibberish are you spouting? Why have you brought me into this space?”

Bai Yu was instantly annoyed by such enigmatic attire; she had no patience for those who masqueraded as mysterious figures.

“Please, My Lady Witch, calm yourself.

That was merely a toy for your amusement.”

The black-robed woman chuckled, extending a hand to point at the monster’s corpse.

Her hand possessed an eerie pallor, yet it exuded a captivating beauty that drew one’s gaze.

“Look, isn’t that the one who sought to harm you?

I’ve captured her for you, My Lady Witch.”

The black-robed woman bowed slightly, appearing utterly submissive to Bai Yu.

“What are you talking about?”

Bai Yu didn’t comprehend the black-robed woman’s words until she glanced towards where the monster’s corpse had been.

“What?!”

Bai Yu froze, for there was no monster’s corpse there anymore.

All that remained was the shriveled body of an old woman, her head rolled to the side, a truly wretched sight.

The appearance of the head instantly made Bai Yu recognize her.

It was the Principal, the one who had registered her as an Arcanist and with whom she’d had a brief encounter.

‘This monster, it was *her* transformed?’

Numerous questions flooded Bai Yu’s mind, but in such a critical moment, she could only forcibly suppress them.

Bai Yu harbored many doubts, yet the most significant one was that this was her first time taking a human life.

No longer was it merely monsters or Shadow Beasts.

She had genuinely taken a human life.

Even though it was an outlaw Arcanist who had been hunted, the meaning was entirely different.

However, Bai Yu’s surprise lasted only a fleeting moment before her expression returned to its usual composure.

‘Right, what was I even worried about?’

Bai Yu shook her head, finding her previous thoughts absurd.

‘If I killed them, I killed them.

What is there to regret?’

Anyone who dared to harm her or those close to her, be they human or monster, Bai Yu would eliminate without hesitation.

It was as simple as that.

‘To let my heart waver for someone who’s already dead? Don’t make me laugh.’

Bai Yu would certainly not allow such matters to trouble her.

The black-robed woman smiled, exceedingly pleased with Bai Yu’s reaction.

Indeed, it had far surpassed her expectations.

Now she finally understood why they all flocked to the true Witch.

This was the epitome of perfection, a being embodying every virtue.

The black-robed woman’s body began to heat up, as if she had unlocked some extraordinary switch.

She had never experienced such a sensation before, but ever since meeting Bai Yu, this feeling had become increasingly uncontrollable.

“My Lady Witch~”

The black-robed woman advanced towards Bai Yu, opening her arms, intending to embrace her.

But how could Bai Yu possibly allow her wish to be fulfilled?

She raised her scythe, placing it directly beside the black-robed woman’s head.

“Don’t come any closer.”

Bai Yu’s voice was utterly calm, devoid of any emotion.

She was filled with extreme wariness towards this woman of unknown origin.

‘As expected, the Witch, she is the most perfect.’

‘Indeed~ only such a My Lady Witch is truly perfect.’

The black-robed woman pushed back her hood, finally revealing her true face.

Her purple curly hair swayed gently in the breeze, and her mature, beautiful face was now flushed with a strange, unnatural blush.

And before Bai Yu, there was also that immense evil!

Bai Yu’s eyes widened instantly. ‘How could it be so huge!’

Bai Yu’s heart pounded.

Not even Lu Xingyao or Cecilia possessed such immense evil.

‘It seems this woman truly cannot be underestimated; to think she would use *this* to tempt me.’

‘But how could Bai Yu be tempted by such a wicked woman?

She preferred pure, beautiful maidens; these wicked women were not to her taste at all.’

Thus, Bai Yu immediately grew serious, her scythe remaining firmly in hand.

“What exactly do you want, and why have you sought me out?!”

Bai Yu asked earnestly, even mimicking a scene from a movie by pressing her scythe a little closer to the woman.

Initially, Bai Yu had intended to intimidate her, but it proved entirely ineffective.

‘This person isn’t scared at all?’

This truly stumped Bai Yu. ‘Could this person be insane?’

“To die by the hands of My Lady Witch, that would be my bliss~”

The woman’s words were utterly startling, making Bai Yu jump.

‘Bliss?!’

‘Does this person have some peculiar fetish?

Bai Yu suddenly felt a surge of unease, surprised that such a beautiful woman could harbor such a perverse mind.’

‘And what about this “Witch, Witch” she keeps repeating?’

‘How did she know my identity?

My true identity as a Witch hasn’t been revealed to anyone.’

‘Not even Cecilia or Mother knew; they only believed I possessed a spiritual core of a Witch.’
