Chapter 105: An Unexpected Invitation and a Perverted Confidante

“Ah, let go of me, you pervert!”

Bai Yu yelped in alarm, convinced she had finally seen through Lilith’s true nature—that of a complete pervert harboring unsavory intentions.

“Very well,” Lilith said. “Since my Lady Witch has spoken, how could I possibly defile her sacred form?”

Lilith immediately retreated, her head bowed, her gaze fixed on Bai Yu’s legs.

Bai Yu suspected that even if she were to order Lilith to kneel and lick her feet right then, Lilith would not refuse.

Yet Bai Yu refrained; such peculiar preferences were not hers, and this was hardly the appropriate setting for such an act.

“My Lady Witch, there is one more matter I must report to you.”

Lilith presented Bai Yu with a small, exquisite box.

“What is this?”

Bai Yu looked at the box with a hint of surprise; inside lay an admission letter.

The emblem on it was undeniably familiar to Bai Yu; it was the very same symbol Cecilia had sent her in a picture earlier.

‘Wasn’t this the emblem of Lugos Academy?’

‘Why did Lilith possess this? Was she also an incoming student?’

Bai Yu immediately dismissed the notion. ‘How could that be?’

While Bai Yu was unaware of Lilith’s exact strength, she was certain it far exceeded that of a Fourth-tier.

After all, she knew that no witch in the Witch Council was weak.

Bai Yu opened the box, revealing a beautifully crafted admission letter with her name engraved upon it.

‘It was for her!’

“Where did this come from, and why is it for me?”

Bai Yu gazed at Lilith in astonishment, but more importantly, she wondered how Lilith knew she needed such an item.

“My Lady Witch, there is no need for doubt,” Lilith stated. “This was prepared specifically for you.”

Lilith spoke earnestly, her eyes devoid of any falsehood.

“Prepared specifically for me? But why? Doesn’t Lugos Academy require a Fourth-tier cultivation to enroll?”

A flicker of confusion crossed Bai Yu’s mind; even Lu Xingyao’s esteemed family hadn’t managed to acquire an invitation, yet Lilith had procured one with such apparent ease.

Her current fear was that it might be a fake, and she would be unceremoniously expelled, leading to an awkward situation.

Such incidents were not unheard of, after all.

“This isn’t fake, is it…?”

Bai Yu narrowed her eyes as she spoke.

“How could it be?” Lilith chuckled. “My Lady Witch jests. This letter bears a unique arcanum personally set by the Principal. Forgery is impossible.”

Lilith shook her head.

“Wait, *Principal*? You know the Principal of Lugos Academy?”

“Know them? Of course. More than just know them, the Principal is actually a member of our Witch Council.”

Lilith cast a helpless glance at Bai Yu, then gently scrutinized her.

“What? The Principal is part of the Witch Council?”

Bai Yu’s eyes widened. She had imagined the Witch Council’s influence to be vast, but she had never anticipated it to be this outrageous.

The lofty image of Lugos Academy shattered in Bai Yu’s mind, particularly since Lilith was the only Witch Council member she had encountered thus far.

Lilith’s seemingly unreliable demeanor made it difficult for Bai Yu to form a favorable impression of the Witch Council.

“That’s right. The Principal is none other than the current Chief Witch of the Witch Council, essentially our spokesperson.”

Lilith’s tone held a hint of disdain, as if she didn’t quite approve of this ‘spokesperson.’

Bai Yu lowered her head, pondering the feasibility of the situation.

“If I enter through the back door like this, won’t other organizations have grievances?”

Bai Yu asked, knowing full well the strict admission requirements of Lugos Academy.

“Through the back door? No, no, no. How could my Lady Witch be considered such a case? You are joining legitimately. Besides, the Principal dictates the rules, so you have no need to worry.”

“Moreover, with my Lady Witch’s talent, you could effortlessly crush those so-called ‘genius’ students right now.”

Lilith spoke with deference, and the mere thought of Bai Yu in combat made her involuntarily clench her thighs.

“Is that so…?”

Bai Yu nodded, a sense of unease stirring within her. It all felt a little too convenient.

“This is for you. Here is the academy’s location. Due to its unique nature, the academy is situated on a small island, concealed by a special arcanum, visible only through specific means.”

Lilith handed Bai Yu a monocle, along with a map.

Bai Yu took the map; it displayed the location of Lugos Academy and even pinpointed Bai Yu’s current position in real-time.

‘This item, too, was a wondrous artifact.’

Bai Yu couldn’t help but marvel at the Witch Council’s immense wealth.

“Alright.”

As Bai Yu accepted the items, a sudden sensation of having ‘struck it rich overnight’ washed over her, making her wonder if Lilith was, in fact, trying to deceive her.

[Based on my calculations, it’s almost impossible.]

“You, shut up!”

Bai Yu abruptly silenced Moweila’s murmurs in her mind, realizing that Moweila was nothing more than a witch supremacist who could rationalize anything with her convoluted theories.

“Also, my Lady Witch, the Chief Witch of the Witch Council, who is also the Principal of Lugos Academy, Vivian, requests that you proceed to the academy as soon as possible.”

Lilith reminded Bai Yu, though she herself harbored no desire for Bai Yu to associate with other members of the Witch Council.

Nevertheless, a profound fear of Vivian lingered within her. Even if the woman’s life force was waning, there was no telling what other stratagems she might possess.

She understood Vivian’s urgency; with little time remaining, it was paramount for Bai Yu to arrive as soon as possible. Vivian, after all, intended for Bai Yu to inherit her position, and without that, there was no telling when Vivian might…

A slight, involuntary smile played on Lilith’s lips, yet she still regarded the Chief Witch with profound apprehension.

“As soon as possible? Do I need to leave right now?”

Bai Yu’s surprise was evident. She knew the academy’s official opening was still months away, yet she was being urged to depart at once.

“That’s right, the Principal has very important matters to entrust to you.”

“Is that so…?”

Bai Yu hesitated, contemplating the prospect of leaving Cecilia for several months. She wondered if Cecilia, also an admitted student, could accompany her.

“Can I bring someone else along? Someone who is also an admitted student?”

“Of course, my Lady Witch can bring anyone you wish. However, only those affiliated with the academy may enter its grounds.”

“That’s good then.”

Bai Yu nodded, recalling that Stella was also accompanying them. The journey would provide the perfect opportunity for Stella to absorb the Reverse Metal.

‘After all, the path to the academy surely lay across the sea.’

“Then I wish my Lady Witch a safe journey. We shall meet again very soon.”

Lilith gazed at Bai Yu with reluctance, her longing to offer everything she possessed to Bai Yu palpable.

“Uh…”

Bai Yu was speechless; she genuinely didn’t wish to see this perverted obsessive woman again.

“As for that old hag’s corpse, I have already disposed of it for my Lady Witch. And please, my Lady Witch, do not misunderstand; I merely wished to offer you a toy as a welcoming gift~”

Bai Yu felt an overwhelming urge to punch Lilith.

‘You call *that* a toy?’

“Oh, forget it.”

Bai Yu had no desire to converse further with this obsessive woman; their minds simply operated on different wavelengths.

“Also, you don’t need to call me ‘My Lady Witch’ anymore. Just call me Bai Yu.”

Bai Yu continued, disliking such an elevated title, especially since Lilith had, in a way, assisted her.

“Very well, Lady Bai Yu~”

“You—!”

Before Bai Yu could complete her thought, the surroundings snapped back to normal; Lilith and the monster’s corpse had vanished without a trace.

Bai Yu found herself back in her original location, having returned from the subspace.

It appeared less than a second had passed in the real world, as no one around Bai Yu seemed to have noticed anything amiss.
