With the fifth Lightning Spear piercing the Deep Sea Tai Sui’s body, the hidden boss finally buckled under the trio’s assault.
Meng Linna, with her lightning spells, easily dominated this water-attuned ruin.
Na Naya knew Lightning Spear too, but surrounded by monsters, she had no room to cast.
Fortunately, Na Naya’s rescuers were a well-coordinated adventurer team.
The two melee fighters gave Meng Linna ample casting space.
Even Na Naya could break from the front lines to attack the Deep Sea Tai Sui.
Severely wounded, the Deep Sea Tai Sui couldn’t spawn more jellyfish.
It was just waiting to die.
Kelly and Stone moved for the finishing blow.
But Meng Linna shouted.
“Don’t get close! It’ll self-destruct!”
“Got it!”
They retreated, dodging the Deep Sea Tai Sui’s final explosion.
Normal ruins had one boss.
Hidden rooms like this had slightly weaker monsters for bonus rewards.
That’s what Na Naya had stumbled into.
Unlucky, she found a hidden boss reward room.
Lucky, it was a type a solo couldn’t handle, but a coordinated team could.
With clear roles—tanking, attacking, supporting—it was doable solo.
But endless jellyfish overwhelmed one person.
Good thing Meng Linna’s team was nearby.
Na Naya glanced at the celebrating trio.
She had to admit, their coordination was seamless.
Meng Linna’s tactics were spot-on, and they followed her lead perfectly.
Did they trust that scumbag so much?
Na Naya felt a pang in her chest, unable to pinpoint the irritation.
By all rights, she was the strongest here.
Yet she became the one needing rescue.
A huge blow to her worldview, trusting her strength and soloing.
But annoyance aside, she had to speak.
Na Naya stepped forward, bowing to the three.
“Thanks for the help!”
Stone and Kelly had a poor impression from Na Naya’s earlier jabs.
But her sincere thanks softened them.
“Haha, just what teammates do.”
For straightforward Stone, helping others was natural.
Her reward talk was just a joke.
Seeing Na Naya frozen, Stone pulled her over.
“Come on. Let’s check the boss reward.”
A glow hovered over the Deep Sea Tai Sui’s corpse.
Unlike normal bosses dropping items, this required reaching in.
The self-destructed Tai Sui’s interior held the prize.
Na Naya volunteered.
“I’ll get it.”
The Tai Sui, whether mushroom mass or ancient fungus, was an old thing.
Smelly.
Na Naya endured the stench, pulling the reward from inside.
It was a weapon.
Meng Linna, usually quiet, explained.
“This seems like the Crushing Giant Hammer. Church warriors used it against giants.”
Stone couldn’t help.
“So everyone jumped up and smashed giant knees?”
Meng Linna wiped sweat.
“Smashed knees? Where’d you get that idea from?”
“Isn’t that logical?”
Stone eyed the massive hammer.
“No one here can use this. Sell it and split the cash?”
Giant hammers were extinct due to near-extinct giants.
This was not just a weapon but a relic of the church-giant war.
“Give it to me. I’ll buy it for you three.”
Na Naya, struggling for thanks, saw her chance to pay with gold.
“Huh, but you fought the boss too. So it’s yours too.”
Buying loot in teams was common.
They weren’t shocked.
“Consider it my thanks. Ten gold coins each. Fair price?”
They exchanged glances.
The Crushing Giant Hammer was B-rank.
But it demanded immense strength.
Not widely sought.
Selling it was tricky.
Na Naya’s offer skipped the hassle and guild cut.
“Deal.”
The best offer.
They nodded.
Na Naya paid them, slinging the hammer on her back.
It strained her, but her combat belt held.
Carrying a giant hammer was awkward.
Na Naya regretted not buying a storage ring.
After a thorough check, they confirmed safety.
Stone approached Na Naya.
“Miss Na Naya, temp team with us?”
