Chapter 130: The Tired Sister and the Playful Little Girl

“Do you really see me as the kind of person who would take advantage of someone when they’re down?”

People with low magic power often lose their ability to think clearly. The most obvious sign is a sharp decline in mental sharpness—lying becomes nearly impossible, and they are much more likely to speak their true thoughts.

The more Menglinna said, the more shocked Nanaya became.

When did her impression of me get so bad?

“Yes, exactly,” Menglinna nodded, but she still held onto the other’s arm tightly. “Anyway, you’ve already learned bad things from me, turned into a playgirl who messes around with girls, right? It’s my fault too—doing that kind of thing to you back then…”

“I haven’t learned any bad things! And why would you think I’m that kind of scumbag who toys with girls?”

Wrongfully accused of something completely untrue, Nanaya felt utterly wronged.

Menglinna almost shouted in rebuttal: “Then why are you so skilled at grabbing—grabbing there!”

“That’s just pure talent!” Even Nanaya, with her thick skin, could only blush and retort. “Anyway, I can see you’re really not in good shape right now. You’re starting to talk nonsense. You should just rest here for a while.”

Having said that, Nanaya didn’t wait for any resistance and simply flipped Menglinna onto the bed.

Menglinna wanted to struggle, but the moment her head touched the pillow, her will to resist plummeted.

*Grrr*, as expected, even the wicked Nanaya’s bed is enchanted with some weird magic.

After silently cursing the evil Nanaya one last time, Menglinna’s eyelids finally gave in, and she fell into a deep sleep.

“She’s surprisingly worn out.”

Nanaya clearly saw how Menglinna fell asleep almost instantly. She hadn’t expected that all this exhaustion was from purifying her. Despite everything, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for the sister she once most admired.

*Mm*, Sister Menglinna exhausted herself for my sake.

*The most important thing now is to let her rest well.*

Thinking this, Nanaya’s gaze drifted to the other’s legs.

*If she’s going to sleep in bed, shouldn’t I take off her shoes first?*

Lowering her eyes, she saw that today Menglinna had originally worn a simple nun’s robe, but after returning from the haunted house, she had taken a slight bath and changed into a pair of short khaki boots.

“Gulp.”

Nanaya swallowed a mouthful of saliva, then reached out and gently lifted the other’s short khaki boots.

Although she no longer had to suffer as she once did, Nanaya’s pursuit of quality of life had always been modest—she wasn’t someone who cared much about material things. But Menglinna, who was originally a noble, had lived a hard life in her previous incarnation. Reborn, she had resolved to live well.

Now that she had money, Menglinna spent more on herself. At first, after reincarnating and finding herself a girl, she had been a bit reserved, but now she had become quite accepting of women’s clothing.

Her dressing style was simple: not necessarily the finest clothes, but definitely the most comfortable ones.

Gently putting down the boots as if they were sacred relics, Nanaya couldn’t help but glance at the other’s toes, wrapped in black velvet stockings.

*They’re so round and soft—even through the stockings I can feel their tenderness.*

*Sister Menglinna must take care of them often, when I’m not around…*

Thinking this, Nanaya reached out and stroked the other’s calf.

Unlike Nanaya, who was a warrior, Menglinna’s role in the team was purely a stationary damage dealer and healer. So she naturally didn’t move as much as Nanaya. Her legs felt plump and soft, not muscular like Nanaya’s, but simply tender.

Pulling herself together, Nanaya withdrew her hand.

*Staring at someone else’s legs all the time—it’s not like I have some weird fetish.*

*Mm, probably not!*

Covering Menglinna with the blanket, Nanaya tiptoed to the door, confirmed it was locked, then returned to the bedside.

What should she do now?

The time was stuck in an awkward spot—too early for dinner, too late to start anything new that could be finished before the meal.

Thinking it over, there really wasn’t much to do.

Restless, Nanaya couldn’t help but look at the sleeping Menglinna.

Perhaps too exhausted, Menglinna’s sleeping posture wasn’t the most graceful, but she fell asleep quickly. Listening to the familiar breathing sounds, Nanaya couldn’t help but stare at her.

*Speaking of which, Sister Menglinna does snore when she sleeps.*

*But I also heard a theory that some people snore because their front equipment is too heavy.*

As if sensing Nanaya’s gaze, Menglinna turned onto her back in her sleep, kicking off the blanket.

“You really are a handful.”

Nanaya glanced at the air conditioner in the room—still running normally.

*If this continues, she’ll catch a cold. But just covering her with the blanket is only a temporary fix—she might throw it off again at any moment.*

*In that case, there’s only one way…*

Much later, after a short rest, Menglinna’s magic power had recovered a little. Though her thoughts were still fragmented, it was enough to keep her brain running on low power. Meanwhile, her digestive system had processed most of the food, signaling it was time to eat.

The combined result was that Menglinna woke up hungry.

Slowly opening her eyes, Menglinna, who was often weighed down by her heavy front armor, found today especially hard to breathe. But hunger drove her to sit up.

“Ah—”

During this process, a little girl lying on top of her also woke up with a start.

“Nanaya?” Rubbing her eyes, Menglinna finally saw clearly who was crushing her. “What are you doing on top of me!?”

Force-booted Nanaya, still plenty of magic, quickly came to her senses: “Isn’t this my bed? What’s wrong with me sleeping on it?”

“Huh?” Menglinna looked around. It was indeed Nanaya’s room. “Oh… wait!”

She quickly sat up straight: “Are you sleeping in your own bed? You’re clearly sleeping on me—am I your bed or something?”

Nanaya licked her lips mischievously: “Could be.”

“Nonsense, how can a person be a bed?” Menglinna’s low-power brain couldn’t handle the thought. “I don’t have time to argue with you. I’m going to eat first.”

Her stomach conveniently growled, and Nanaya quickly got up: “Then I’ll go with you!”

It was already a bit late, so there weren’t many people in the cafeteria. Menglinna found a seat, while Nanaya quickly got her food and came over with a tray.

Having lived with Menglinna for so long, Nanaya had learned her preferences. Just looking at the dishes she brought, Menglinna’s mouth began to water.

Nanaya didn’t start eating in a rush. Instead, she reached out and grabbed the tie on the front of Menglinna’s robe.

“What are you doing?”

Though confused by Nanaya’s actions, Menglinna didn’t stop her.

Nanaya tightened the belt on the robe firmly, then adjusted the collar before answering: “Just thinking that if you wear it like this, you might expose your front to others—makes me a bit jealous.”

“It’s only my belly that shows, right? And hardly anyone’s around.”

Starving, Menglinna didn’t bother asking why Nanaya was jealous and started focusing on her meal.

“Still, you should be more careful, Sis.”

Nanaya didn’t dwell on it and joined her in eating.

But her earlier words were clearly heard by the few young nuns nearby. They said nothing, but pricked up their ears to eavesdrop on the conversation.

The two didn’t talk much after that. They finished quickly, and then Nanaya took Menglinna’s arm and led her back to the dorm.

“Huh? Why am I here again?”

Finding herself back in Nanaya’s dorm, Menglinna looked confused.

Her low magic state was still affecting her judgment, but for Nanaya, this was a wonderful opportunity.

“Didn’t I tell you before? Your door lock is broken, so stay in my room for tonight.”

“Oh, I see,” Menglinna fully believed Nanaya’s explanation. “Then I’ll sleep first.”

With that, she headed straight for the sofa.

“Wait a moment!” Nanaya grabbed her. “You did so much for me today—how could I let you sleep on the sofa?”

“But…”

“No ‘buts’!”

Nanaya used the same trick again, flipping Menglinna onto the bed.

“Nanaya’s pillow really has evil magic…”

As soon as her head hit the pillow, Menglinna lost all will to resist. Though she didn’t fall asleep immediately because she had already slept a bit, the soft mattress completely dissolved her resistance.

“There’s no such magic,” Nanaya laughed as she helped take off the other’s shoes. “You’re just tired.”

“Even so…” Even with her low-power brain, Menglinna sensed danger. “Then why are you coming closer?”
