“Little Milly, are you sure it’s related to the Church?”
Milly wouldn’t have brought up the irrelevant Church at a time like this. It had to be related to the key information.
She had said it herself. That was for the best.
But, from what she knew of the Church, and Milly’s complete lack of connection to it, it shouldn’t be the key.
Which meant, either no prompt had been given yet, or the little one was deliberately withholding information.
The former was fine. As for the latter, was she trying to bargain with her, or was the remaining information related to her?
“Believe it or not.”
The moment she spoke, cold fingers traced up her spine. The strange sensation in her lower abdomen began to rise again.
She wanted to complain that a girl’s body was just too sensitive, but she had no time for that.
Stacy was suspicious. It made sense. She had just given a single, cryptic clue.
“The Church” by itself meant nothing. But add “Stacy,” and everything became clear.
From now on, no matter what Stacy asked, she would stick to her story. As long as Stacy believed her.
The next step was to use Stacy’s obsession with her departure against her.
After all, she could change her appearance and had connections with the Saintess. She could just have Stacy disguise her as a nun and sneak her into the Church.
Once she found the holy relic that was specifically designed to be used against Stacy, and then patiently endured, she would one day be free.
The thought almost made her laugh, but it was the only hope she had left.
She clung to that fragile, crumbling thread of sanity.
She had nothing left. Not even the initial belief that she could defeat Stacy.
So, just stick to the story. Make Stacy believe she had only received that one clue.
But clearly, Milly had underestimated Stacy.
“Just so you know, if you lie to Master, there will be a punishment.”
Her fingers pressed against Milly’s back. When people lied, no matter how well they hid it, there were always subtle tells.
She deliberately emphasized the word “punishment.” The moment she said it, though faint, she felt an unnatural tremor.
Ah, so she was right. It made her curious. What key information had Little Milly received that she had to hide from her?
“You’re trembling, Little Milly. Are you afraid of the punishment?”
Even though she was prepared for Stacy’s questioning, the involuntary tremor was unavoidable.
Seeing Milly’s silence, Stacy’s fingers traced circles on her smooth back.
With the sigil’s enhancement, she could feel every subtle change in Milly’s body. No tremor, no matter how slight, would escape her notice.
So, what she had initially thought was a nuisance had turned out to be quite convenient.
“Let me guess. You left out some key information, didn’t you?”
Another slight tremor. Milly, with her back to her, said nothing. Was she afraid to answer?
“You still have a chance. If you tell me the rest now, the punishment will be forgotten.”
The tremor grew stronger. Was she finally breaking?
But Little Milly still didn’t respond. No matter. With her body’s feedback, she just had to test a few things to find the right answer.
“Let me guess, the remaining key information is…”
The next moment, Milly suddenly turned to face her.
“Stacy, you’ve always wanted me to leave this world, haven’t you?”
Stacy frowned. Was she trying to change the subject, or…
“I did receive more than one piece of information.”
Oh?
So she was giving in. But the next moment, a smirk appeared on Milly’s lips.
“The other key piece, Stacy… if you beg me, I’ll tell you.”
For a moment, Stacy thought she had misheard. She had never expected Milly to say such a thing.
Had she forgotten the time she had nearly killed her for talking back?
Or did she think, with the sigil turning pain into pleasure, she could be reckless?
“Little Milly, watch your tone.”
“Tone? Stacy, I’ve figured it out. From the beginning, you’ve needed me, not the other way around, right?”
“From the very beginning, you’ve been obsessed with me leaving this world. So, what do you get when I leave?”
The moment she spoke, Stacy grabbed her neck. But now, Milly didn’t have to worry about suffocating. It would only turn into intense pleasure. And Stacy would feel it too.
As the pleasure intensified, her grip would loosen. The harder she squeezed, the weaker her grip would become.
And the more she did this, the more it proved she was right.
Very right.
Stacy needed her, not the other way around.
And now, whether Stacy threatened her with pain or pleasure, she had been through it all. At most, it would just get more extreme.
Thanks to a certain someone, she had nothing left to fear.
She had nothing. If Stacy lost her temper now, it would be a release, wouldn’t it?
But, thinking of that final scene, why did her heart tremble?
Home…
To return to her roots. But she probably couldn’t go back.
She waited for Stacy to act, but she released her, a flicker of uncertainty in her red eyes.
But soon, it was gone, replaced by a strange smile.
That smile, more than her anger, sent a chill down Milly’s spine.
When she smiled, it was never a good sign.
But she had nothing to fear.
“If Little Milly won’t say it, then there’s nothing I can do~ Let me think, what should I do now?”
A playful smile on her lips.
With her current methods, she couldn’t break Little Milly. And as for the hidden information, she had a suspicion, and she had ways to pry open that little mouth.
But that would be a bit boring.
A tendril wrapped around Milly and tossed her into the cage by the bed. The soft blanket broke her fall.
Until she came up with a more interesting idea, a formal punishment was still necessary.
A pity about the meal she had so carefully prepared.
With a click, the cage door closed. Stacy left the bedroom.
