Chapter 167 : She Will Not Fail

If she went in like this, what would happen to that person?

It wasn’t that she was worried about her. Milly believed that she had her own way of escaping after she left.

As for what she would encounter inside, and whether those black-robed figures would follow her, that was uncertain. And since Stacy couldn’t get in, Milly would have to face whatever came next alone.

Could she do it? Alone, facing an unsolvable problem, could she do it… No, wait, why was she thinking like this? Why would she think that just because someone wasn’t there, she would doubt her own abilities?

Since she started running, she had been passively accepting help from that person. Had she unconsciously started to rely on Stacy? Did she think that even if the sky fell, that person would hold it up?

The moment she realized this, Milly gasped. When had this started? It had taken root and grown with everything that had happened. If this continued, it would end in the worst possible way.

At that point, she might be completely inseparable from Stacy.

And everything that had been suppressed by the events of these past days would also dissipate.

What would happen in that future, Milly didn’t know. But if that was Stacy’s new goal, she had succeeded. Perhaps that was the reason for her drastic change in personality. Realizing that force was no longer effective, she had switched to sugar-coated bullets to make Milly gradually fall for her.

But she couldn’t resist. She could only watch herself slowly fall, until the day she couldn’t pull herself out. Whether it was her own choice or something she couldn’t help.

Whether it was her true purpose or an unintentional act, Milly had gradually fallen into it.

It wasn’t until she heard those words that she snapped out of her daze and looked at the figure standing in front of her.

“Filth that cannot be completely erased, what a headache.”

Oswell’s voice suddenly changed, from the familiar old man’s voice to a chaotic, electronic-like sound. It was as if, knowing that Milly already knew their identity, they no longer needed to hide.

Even his tone of voice had changed, as if complaining that Stacy, this malignant virus, just wouldn’t die.

“Although it is a virus program born from an accident, it is still a written program and follows a certain set of rules.” Oswell raised his scepter and aimed it at Milly, who was behind Stacy. “According to your settings, you should have continued to persecute her, just as before.”

“What do you mean?”

Before Stacy could speak, Milly responded. What did he mean? What did he mean by Stacy being a virus program born from an accident, and that her setting was to persecute her, the player?

“Oh, right. I almost forgot you don’t know anything. Well, before you are erased, I’ll let you die with the truth.”

Oswell continued, the holy light on his scepter growing brighter. It seemed he couldn’t wait for the countdown to finish and erase Milly then.

“Actually, your meeting with the filth was just an accident. A forgotten setting…”

“Milly!”

Before he could finish, Stacy pushed her back, sending her into the light screen behind her. Caught off guard, Milly could only reach out for something, but she could only see Stacy pressing her hand on the light screen.

Countless thorns shot out from her palm, completely covering the light screen, as if to prevent anyone from entering.

In the end, she saw Stacy say something. Oswell’s face was livid. He released the holy light from his scepter at Stacy. Enraged, he seemed to say something, but she couldn’t hear. After entering the light screen, she was cut off from the outside world. Until the thorns completely covered the light screen, her vision was lost. “Stacy…”

After sending Milly into the light screen, Stacy turned to face the crowd.

Besides the one who had taken over the old man’s body, the other black-robed figures were probably the same.

One against seven. It seemed she didn’t have much of a chance.

Stacy released her hand from the light screen. The thorns had completely covered it. To get in, they would have to erase all the thorns. But these thorns, like her body, would regenerate at an astonishing speed if not completely destroyed.

With Little Milly gone, she could now fight without holding back. But looking at the formation before her, she felt a sense of pressure for the first time. Compared to this, the previous crusades against her were like child’s play. “Now, if you want to pass, you’ll have to ask for my permission.”

“Filth, I never thought you would go to this extent. According to your settings…”

Oswell looked at Stacy with a livid face. It seemed he had underestimated this virus program born from an accident. From the moment she had broken free, he should have known that the settings placed on her might not be able to control her.

“Old man, there’s a lot you don’t know.”

Although Stacy didn’t know what was inside the light screen, from the old man’s livid expression, Milly getting in was definitely not what he wanted to see. Which meant that there was probably something inside that could change the current situation, maybe even stop the purification program that Milly had said couldn’t be stopped.

In that case, whether for Milly’s safety or for that unseen hope, she wouldn’t want anyone to disturb her before she came out.

“Little Milly, I’m putting all my hope in you. Don’t let me down.”

The moment the thought fell, the aura around Stacy began to change.

Because Little Milly had been by her side, Stacy hadn’t had the chance, nor the need, to try. But in the current situation, Lillian’s body was not enough to fight them.

So, she had to push herself.

Since she was born, it was the first time she had felt this way, the feeling that she would die if she failed. This exciting feeling was truly exhilarating.

An unprecedented madness in her beautiful eyes. She had been looking forward to a situation like this for a long time.

Come on.

But, she will not fail.
