Chapter 150 : Are You Worried About Me?

Looking at the silver figure blocking her, Milly had thought Stacy was just projecting her consciousness onto Lisa. But seeing the girl’s flaxen hair change color, transforming into that familiar silver, she knew.

Maybe there was a real Lisa somewhere, but this wasn’t her.

Staring at the silver back in front of her, Milly finally understood. It had been Stacy all along. Everything she had seen in Lisa was just Stacy’s performance.

“You’ve done very well, Little Milly~” Stacy’s voice whispered in her ear, tinged with a rare gentleness.

“Leave the rest to me.”

Sensing the dangerous aura emanating from Stacy, the Fallen God instinctively retreated, creating distance. It swung its massive sword, unleashing a wave of black fire that incinerated everything in its path as it roared toward Stacy.

Stacy’s lips curled. Before the fire could reach her, an invisible barrier blocked it completely. Did it recognize her from her aura?

But Stacy wasn’t at her peak. Possessing Lillian’s body had significantly weakened her aura.

Was that why it had retreated, to test her? Now that the test was over, the real fight would begin. She might not be able to protect Milly. So…

“Little Milly, I have to send you away for now.”

“Wait…”

Before Milly could finish, a tentacle emerged from the ground, gently wrapped around her, and moved her to a safer location.

Watching Milly leave the center of the battle, Stacy stretched her stiff body. It had been a long time since she had met an opponent worth her effort, not since the possessed Pope.

“Alright, now it’s just us.”

Milly stared at her hands.

The gap between her and that woman was a chasm she could never bridge.

They both used tentacles, but Stacy’s were vastly superior in both number and strength.

As Milly watched from safety, dozens of tentacles erupted from the ground like giant pythons, wrapping around the Fallen God. The black fire that had instantly incinerated Milly’s tentacle could only scorch the surface of Stacy’s.

Immune to pain, the fire was useless. Under the crushing pressure of the tentacles, the Fallen God’s black armor shattered, and the flesh beneath was squeezed and pulped.

When Stacy released her grip, only a puddle of black liquid and crushed flesh remained.

But even this wasn’t enough. The black liquid, seemingly alive, covered the pulp again, reforming into a humanoid shape in the blink of an eye.

“How troublesome.”

Stacy clicked her tongue. Just like the old fool Pope, even after being crushed to pulp, it could regenerate. Dealing with it was a hassle.

She controlled the tentacles to wrap around the Fallen God again.

A piercing screech filled the air. Even from a distance, Milly instinctively covered her ears.

It wasn’t just loud; it seemed to affect the mind.

The interference slowed the tentacles for a moment, failing to bind the Fallen God.

After the screech, the Fallen God formed another massive sword of black fire and slashed down at Stacy.

A deafening explosion. The shockwave uprooted the surrounding trees.

Milly watched as Stacy was blown away by the blast.

“Stacy?”

Milly called out instinctively. As if hearing her, Stacy flipped in mid-air and landed gracefully, her dress unruffled. It was as if she had let herself be blown away just to get Milly’s attention.

“Are you worried about me? How cute, Little Milly~”

“I am not!”

Milly turned her head away, huffing.

That woman, acting even now. But Milly’s instinctive cry had betrayed her concern. After all, the opponent was a legendary Fallen God, and Milly knew from her appraisal skill that Stacy was using Lillian’s body, making her weaker than usual.

Facing a Fallen God in a weakened state, even Stacy could get hurt. Even though she cursed her in her heart, Stacy was here, fighting in her place. Milly couldn’t bring herself to hate her right now.

Seeing Milly turn away, Stacy looked back at the Fallen God, her face darkening.

“Let’s see how long you can last.”

A dangerous smile played on her lips. Her silver hair floated without wind. The ground behind her cracked, and countless tentacles erupted, surging toward the Fallen God like a tide. It stepped forward, swinging its sword, cutting the first wave of tentacles in half.

But the severed tentacles didn’t vanish into smoke like Milly’s. Instead, new tentacles sprouted from the cut ends, continuing to wrap around the god’s body.

“Still haven’t learned your lesson, just like last time.” Stacy’s voice was filled with mockery. More tentacles drilled into the Fallen God’s feet, climbing up its legs, scraping away the black armor, and frantically absorbing the viscous black liquid that formed its body.

Sensing the danger, the Fallen God swung its massive sword, cutting the tentacles binding its legs. But the severed tentacles didn’t disappear; they multiplied.

Although their strength decreased and they were consumed by the black fire on its body, against the overwhelming numbers, the fire was like a cup of water on a burning cart.

The battle seemed one-sided, with the Fallen God helpless.

Watching the scene, Milly clenched her fists. She remembered when she had challenged Stacy with Broken. Back then, her sword had cut through the tentacles, turning them into smoke. But now, even after being cut by the black fire sword, the tentacles not only didn’t disappear but grew new ones from the burnt ends.

Unless Broken, as a holy sword, countered Stacy, then Stacy must have held back an ocean’s worth of power against her.

Unless something unexpected happened, the outcome should be decided soon.

Suddenly, the Fallen God let out a piercing shriek. Black fire exploded from its body, incinerating all the tentacles instantly.

“Troublesome.”

Stacy raised her hand, summoning more tentacles behind her. But before they could wrap around it, they missed.

A supreme killing intent appeared behind her. Stacy turned to see a massive black fire sword appearing above her head, rushing toward her with a wave of scorching heat.
