Chapter 110 : No Magic, Then Brute Force

She stared at the thick floor. After three days of sifting through memory fragments, she had found several digging spells.

But most of them required magic.

And if she could use magic, she would have summoned Broken and fought her way out. No need for digging.

There was only one other way. Milly took a deep breath, her knuckles cracking.

“No magic, then brute force.”

Her small, soft fists wouldn’t do the trick. She had to use a special method.

She pressed on the acupoints of her body, just as the memory showed. It was strange that such a method existed in this world, but it was her best option.

By opening the body’s meridians, she could achieve a rapid increase in strength for a short time. The side effects would be significant, but she had no other choice.

With her current physical strength, she could probably only throw four punches. If that wasn’t enough, she would have to use the explosive magic circle. The noise might wake the guard, but at that point, she would have no other choice.

She pulled back her right fist, her core tightening. She slammed it into the floor.

A large hole appeared. The recoil sent a numbing sensation through her entire arm.

It hurt… but she could take it. Three more punches.

She bit her lip and aimed for the hole, striking again.

The hole deepened by an inch. Two more punches.

Blood dripped from her fist. She wouldn’t have to bite her finger now. If the last two punches didn’t work, she would have to use the explosive magic circle.

With the third punch, she saw a glimmer of hope. The bottom of the hole was no longer solid stone, but a dark opening. Debris was falling into it.

She had broken through. But the hole was too small. The last punch had to widen it enough for her to slip through.

One last punch. She took a deep breath and, with all her strength, struck. The stone finally gave way, shattering.

She panted, her bloody fist hanging limply. Her right hand was useless now. After a brief numbness, a sharp pain shot through her entire arm. It wasn’t just the hand; it was a deeper pain, spreading through her meridians.

The side effects were setting in, faster than she expected.

Milly bit her lip, her left hand clutching her right arm. Her body was still too weak. She could feel her right arm convulsing.

She looked at her hand. Translucent text appeared.

[Status: Meridian Flow Technique (Forcibly Activated)]
[Side Effect: Meridian Disorder]
[Symptoms: Intense Pain, Limb Paralysis]

It hurt much more than she thought.

A sharp pain shot from her fingertips through her entire arm. Milly arched her back, cold sweat drenching her prison clothes. Her right arm twitched, her fingers spasming, blood seeping from the torn skin.

Worse than expected…

She had thought it would just be a temporary numbness, not this intense backlash.

Waiting for the pain to subside was a good option, but she knew she couldn’t. She had to escape before dawn.

She clutched her hand and looked down at the dark hole. It was a narrow, deep tunnel, probably a former drainage system.

She jumped in. The tunnel was even narrower than she thought, less than half a meter wide, and just high enough for her to crawl. Her current small size was a blessing.

She closed her eyes and activated her God’s perspective. The entire tunnel system appeared in her mind, a detailed map.

With her appraisal skill, most of the junctions showed corresponding information, preventing her from getting lost.

The two skills together weren’t so useless after all. But they didn’t enhance her combat ability. If she ran into a patrol, she would be done for.

Before she escaped, there was one place she had to explore. She memorized the route to the “hidden” location and began to move.

The tunnel didn’t get any narrower. She reached the end of the route, a dead end blocked by a stone wall.

She closed her eyes and activated her God’s perspective. She could see a large space behind the wall. And this wasn’t the main entrance. This was a shortcut.

But for now, this was the only way in. The main entrance was sealed. Her range was limited, but she could tell it was on the other side of the cathedral, sealed by magic.

A hidden area in the church. She had to see what the old fool was hiding.

She touched the wall. Two options. Sacrifice her left hand, or use the explosive magic circle. The former would leave both her hands useless. The latter might bury her alive.

She decided to use the explosive magic circle. Her appraisal skill had confirmed that the wall would break. The chance of a cave-in was fifty-fifty.

So be it. Art is an explosion.

Using the still-wet blood on her right hand, she quickly drew the circle. The moment she finished, an explosion sent her flying.

Debris rained down on her. She was lucky. The wall had a hole, and the ceiling hadn’t collapsed.

The dust was choking. She coughed and crawled out of the hole, falling onto the floor below with a thud. The pain made her see stars.

“Ouch… that hurt.”

She looked up at the hole. It was three or four meters high. No wonder it hurt so much.

She pushed herself up and looked around. Her eyes fell on an iron door.

For some reason, she felt like she was in a dungeon crawl. As if opening that door would lead to the church’s hidden treasure. Maybe it was related to her way of leaving this world.

With that thought, she drew an explosive magic circle on the iron door.

Just as the door was blown open, a dark figure silently appeared at the hole she had just fallen from, its eyes fixed on the small figure below.
