“Miss, what is this?”
Looking back with a puzzled expression, Mu Rong Luo Ye saw the dark-haired girl, Mo Yuyan, behind him, her hand pressed firmly against his shoulder.
“Miss, why do you do this?”
“You know why.”
At that very moment, Mo Yuyan abruptly seized his right arm. With a powerful shoulder throw, she sent him tumbling down the stairs. Then, she stepped forward, pressing her foot firmly onto his neck.
“Hey!”
Stung by the pain, Mu Rong Luo Ye glared at Mo Yuyan with fury once he regained his senses.
“Someone, quick! Call the police! There’s a lunatic here! She’s killing someone!”
At his desperate shouts, combined with the earlier commotion, most of the guests on the first floor were instantly drawn to the scene.
“Hmph, how dull.”
As she increased the pressure of her foot, Mu Rong Luo Ye’s face flushed crimson, as if he were suffocating from lack of air.
“Hold on, little girl! Threatening someone’s life is a crime!”
“What kind of grudge could lead to this? This drama is huge.”
Although many were mere spectators, some still wished to aid Mu Rong Luo Ye, who was pinned to the ground. He clung to this hope, for Mo Yuyan’s foot on his neck was indeed suffocating him.
“Crazy girl, cough, you, you, let go! We have no enmity! Quickly, call the police!”
Observing Mu Rong Luo Ye’s terror-stricken eyes, Mo Yuyan merely drew forth a long whip. “You know who I am, so, hmph…”
Mu Rong Luo Ye’s eyes had initially held a feigned terror, but the moment he saw the long whip, that pretense vanished.
“How did you find me?”
“The dead have no need to know.”
However, at that very instant, Mu Rong Luo Ye, pinned beneath Mo Yuyan’s foot, underwent a startling transformation; his body began to swell.
“Little girl, you are still too young!”
In a flash, with a sudden surge of power, he easily broke free from Mo Yuyan’s hold.
Mo Yuyan instinctively recoiled as she watched Mu Rong Luo Ye’s body suddenly double in size. When he lunged, she brandished her whip, striking him fiercely. The impact sent him spinning like a top through the air for several rotations before he crashed violently into the counter.
The heavy thud of his landing was immediately followed by the cacophony of shattering wine bottles.
“Cough.” Spitting out a mouthful of blood, Mu Rong Luo Ye pushed himself back to his feet. “A miscalculation. To think I’d encounter you here. The intelligence was flawed.”
As Mo Yuyan advanced steadily with her whip, Mu Rong Luo Ye slowly reached behind him, then suddenly hurled two spherical objects at her.
“Have some tea eggs!”
Seeing the projectiles, Mo Yuyan swiftly retreated several steps. She then whipped out her long weapon, snaring the two spheres before flinging them towards the ceiling.
“Get down!”
The moment Mo Yuyan’s words faded, a deafening explosion ripped through the ceiling.
At the sound of the blast, Mu Rong Luo Ye seized the opportunity, fleeing frantically towards the main entrance.
Just as he stepped through the doorway, a whistling sound suddenly ripped through the air behind him.
“Damn it!”
Clenching the door nearby, Mu Rong Luo Ye ripped it off its hinges, using it as a shield.
The whip’s power was undeniable; it had indeed snapped the iron door in half. Yet, its residual force wasn’t enough to inflict harm, and he managed to escape.
‘The power isn’t great. The material composition is off.’
Confirming that the earlier grenade had caused no harm, Mo Yuyan pulled out a stack of red banknotes and tossed them onto the already shattered counter.
“Keep the change.”
Amidst the stunned faces of the onlookers, a black figure flashed out the door in an instant, pursuing Mu Rong Luo Ye.
Witnessing the events that had just unfolded, the crowd was utterly speechless.
“Grenades! They were grenades! Quick, call the police!”

‘Damn it, this crazy girl is relentless.’ Though Mo Yuyan was nowhere in sight from his rearview, Mu Rong Luo Ye had no doubt she could drop from the sky at any moment.
‘If I weren’t outmatched, I’d pin this crazy girl down and teach her what it means to wish for death. And where are those idiots? Why aren’t they here to support me?’
Just then, the sharp whistle of wind sliced through Mu Rong Luo Ye’s ears once more, followed by a black long whip suddenly appearing before him.
“Holy hell!”
Though he dodged in time, the sight of the cracks left on the ground still made him gasp.
He could barely imagine the sensation of that whip striking him. Wait, he had been struck once already, and he certainly didn’t wish to experience that again.
‘Damn it, I can’t shake her off. I’ll just grab a shield, then we’ll see if you save them or not.’
At that precise moment, his gaze landed on a silver figure not far from him.
