“You! Don’t imagine for a moment that being the student council president makes you untouchable. Do not provoke our boss, or your end will be exceedingly unpleasant.”
Though the individual beside her struggled desperately to silence her, the defiant girl managed to break free from their grasp, her words ringing out clearly.
“An ugly death, you say? Oh?”
Slowly, a subtle aura of chilling frost emanated from Mo Yuyan, and her gaze grew progressively glacial.
What a tragic oversight that none of them knew Mo Yuyan’s true identity, for had they, that girl would never have dared utter such brazen words in her presence.
After all, the ranks of MRZZ members she had eliminated in past operations were far from negligible.
Hearing someone threaten her with an unsightly demise now, it became undeniably necessary to usher them into a harsh dose of reality.
Yet, Fang Kehan proved rather perceptive. As her subordinate continued to babble, poised to unleash further imprudence, Fang Kehan subtly took several steps back.
“I will handle everything here. Today’s incident, I take full responsibility.”
‘Oh, they conceded so swiftly? I had rather anticipated a spectacle. Given this turn of events, I suppose it’s time to draw this to a close.’
Upon hearing her words, Mo Yuyan withdrew her foot. After all, these were mere mortals; there was no need for lethal force.
Since they had conceded, she would let them be. After turning back to Mu Rong Luo Ye’s side, Mo Yuyan paused once more before me.
“I have something to discuss with you. Come.”
‘Oh, the senior has something for me?’
‘That would explain the senior’s sudden appearance here.’
‘Indeed, I was truly grateful to the senior. In the span of a single day, she had first saved my life, and now she had extricated me from this tight spot.’
After Mu Rong Luo Ye and his companions vanished from sight, the girl who had spoken earlier began to grumble once more.
“Boss, are we just letting this go? Let’s teach them a lesson! No, no, I cannot tolerate this!”
“Of course, it won’t end so simply. You’ve made contact, haven’t you? Inform them that cost is no object, so long as my objectives are met.”
“Understood.”

“Then, Huang Beifeng, please wait for me. The senior’s request shouldn’t take up too much of my time.”
After Huang Beifeng offered a slight nod, I turned and followed the senior forward.
After navigating a winding path of turns, the senior led me to the entrance of a classroom that appeared to have been repurposed. Glancing up at the plaque above the door, I realized this must be the Student Council office.
‘Soon enough, I would discover the senior’s true intentions for summoning me.’
Trailing the senior into the office, I observed her settle back into the president’s seat, while I, in turn, stood dutifully by her side.
“Um, Senior, you…”
Before I could complete my sentence, Mo Yuyan abruptly interjected, “Do you know why I brought you here?”
‘Me, me, me… this, I genuinely have no idea!’
‘I truly don’t understand why you summoned me! I’m utterly bewildered. First, you dramatically saved me, then you resolved my predicament, and now you’ve called me here? I simply don’t know why!’
“Um, Senior, I honestly don’t know.”
As those words left my lips, I distinctly sensed a flicker of something beyond her usual impassivity, a subtle shift in emotion on her otherwise expressionless face, though it vanished as quickly as it appeared.
“In truth, it’s nothing major. I simply have a small matter to impose upon you, a task I wish to entrust to your care.”
‘No trouble at all, no trouble at all,’ I thought, hastily shaking my head. The senior had already aided me twice today; it was a rare honor for her to seek me out, and I felt compelled to agree.
“It’s no trouble at all, Senior, truly. I’m honored. But if you wouldn’t mind, I’m quite curious as to the nature of this task.”
“See for yourself.”
As she spoke, she effortlessly produced a slender booklet and extended it towards me.
The booklet was neither large nor thick, likely containing only a few simple documents. Yet, upon reading the bold characters emblazoned across its cover, I found myself momentarily frozen.
‘A school festival?’
‘Our school actually hosts such an event?’
“Does that mean,” I began, “that the task you spoke of, Senior, is related to the school festival? Are you perhaps asking me to take on a role there?”
As she nodded, I confirmed that this must indeed be the task the senior was entrusting to me.
“In that case, Senior, what specific area of work would I be involved in? Could you perhaps grant me some time to prepare?”
The instant the words tumbled from my mouth, I perceived Senior Mo Yuyan’s gaze sweeping over me, a silent assessment before she finally spoke.
“It’s quite simple, actually. You’ll merely need to collaborate with the Anime Club and perform a cosplay. Your attributes are rather exceptional for it.”
‘Eh?’
