Chapter 81: The Silver-Haired Loli’s Wrath

“I can’t move… What did you do?”

He tried to pull back the club in his hand, tried to keep swinging, to land another blow on Huang Beifeng’s head. But no matter how hard he strained, he couldn’t move a muscle.

The hand Mu Rong Luo Ye held felt as if it no longer belonged to him—completely beyond his control.

“Luo Ye?”

Huang Beifeng called out tentatively, stepping back out of the club’s range.

There was no response from Luo Ye. Only one explanation came to mind: he’d reverted to that state from the maid café.

‘I don’t know why this is happening, but it’s best to keep my distance right now.’

Her right arm still throbbed faintly. As she looked at the current Luo Ye, a shadow of psychological trauma lingered in her heart.

If her arm hadn’t been injured, she wouldn’t have been this helpless, nor would she have let the line be broken.

She retreated to Tang Xiao Rou’s side. Now, it was time to watch the show.

“Let go! Let me go!”

Unable to free his trapped hand, the red-haired youth raised his other fist and swung fiercely at Luo Ye.

It seemed Luo Ye’s other hand was pressed against his own face, but the red-haired youth believed one punch would be enough to make him let go.

Or maybe even knock him out cold.

Just as his fist was about to connect, he felt a strange tremor from the club in Luo Ye’s grip—a vibration like the club itself was shivering.

“Impossible!”

The answer came in the next second.

*Crack!*

A crisp snapping sound rang out. The segment of the club in Luo Ye’s grasp broke clean off.

The sudden break threw the red-haired youth off balance, and Luo Ye used the moment to dodge the incoming punch.

“Impossible!”

Even bending a metal club would have been astonishing. But breaking it straight off? Was he even human?

“This… absolutely impossible!”

Trembling with fear, the red-haired youth stared at Luo Ye, who now held the broken club. Luo Ye casually tossed the broken piece behind him.

The shard arced through the air and struck the club that was about to hit Can Ye with pinpoint accuracy.

“Hm?”

Hearing the crisp clang, Can Ye stepped back and turned around. She saw Luo Ye with his hand already on the red-haired youth’s arm.

Though short in stature, he had no trouble leaping up and gripping the youth’s shoulder. Using that hold, he vaulted into the air and delivered a spinning kick straight to the youth’s head.

The force was just right—enough to send the youth spinning in the air before he crashed heavily to the ground.

Luo Ye walked over and stepped on his head, casting a frigid glance at him.

“Trash.”

He had meant to put both hands in his pockets, but when he lowered them, all he felt was the softness of stockings.

“Tch.”

He picked up the broken club from the ground and strode toward the two who had been confronting Huang Beifeng.

Seeing their boss so easily taken down by this seemingly fragile silver-haired loli, they were stunned.

As if terrified, their mouths hung wide open.

How could something that only happens in novels be happening here?

They tried to back away, only to realize the silver-haired loli had already vanished before their eyes.

“Where’d she go?”

“Run! Forget about it!”

They turned to bolt, but the silver-haired loli had somehow appeared right in front of them.

They gasped. Just as they raised their clubs to strike first, they saw the loli’s club already swinging toward them.

Everything went dark. A sharp pain exploded, and they collapsed face-first to the ground.

With one more swing, the immediate threat was neutralized. Huang Beifeng quickly pulled Can Ye back and looked at Luo Ye cautiously.

“Luo Ye?”

Tang Xiao Rou started to approach him, but Huang Beifeng grabbed her arm. She stepped forward carefully herself.

She didn’t know what state Luo Ye was in—whether he might attack them too. But compared to Can Ye and Tang Xiao Rou, she had more experience. Better to check herself.

As she took one step forward, Luo Ye raised his club and aimed it at her.

“If you want to live, stay—”

Before he could finish, he pressed his hand to his face again and began to sway.

Huang Beifeng rushed forward and caught him just in time as he collapsed into her arms.

“Looks like he’s coming back. He’ll be fine once he wakes up,” she explained to the other two with a smile.

But in the next moment, her eyes went wide.

“Huang Beifeng!”

Tang Xiao Rou screamed. A young man in a black mask had appeared out of nowhere behind Huang Beifeng, striking the back of her neck with a knife-hand.

“Sorry. See you.”

He said, catching the unconscious Luo Ye and vanishing in an instant.

“Can Ye, we…”

Even the usually stoic Can Ye was stunned.

Where did this masked man come from?

But he was gone now. All they could do was take Huang Beifeng out and call the police. That was their only option.

“Luo Ye… please be okay.”

****

“What a fine test subject. Tsk tsk, lucky me,” the masked man muttered as he navigated the labyrinth with Luo Ye in tow.

Just as he was about to pass through an intersection, a black figure suddenly appeared before him.

“Stop right there!”
