Chapter 119: The Unmasking of Quade

“Holly crap?!”

Gern’s mind was still in a daze.

She watched the ground beneath her feet grow further and further away, her pupils shrinking violently.

“Gern, I’m so hungry, let me have a bite.”

‘Damn it, big sister, I’m already in this state, how on earth did you find me?!’

The person holding Gern was none other than Aivia, who had been tracking Gern’s scent all the way from the academy.

Gern was held tightly in Aivia’s embrace as the night wind whistled past her ears, and the buildings of the royal capital below rapidly shrank into blurred specks of light.

She struggled for a moment, only to find that she couldn’t break free from Aivia’s restraint at all.

Compared to her own serpent form, Aivia’s strength was simply too immense.

As she watched herself getting further from the ground, Gern felt a slight sense of suffocation.

“Let go of me! I am Quade Turner, I—”

Gern hadn’t yet realized that her identity had been exposed and tried to threaten Aivia using Quade’s identity.

“Mmm… the scent… it can’t be wrong. Classmate Gern, stop pretending.”

Aivia lowered her head, her crimson eyes flashing with a hungry light in the night.

She leaned close to Gern’s neck and took a deep breath, an intoxicated expression appearing on her face.

It was as if she had caught the scent of the most delicious thing in the entire world.

“Gern, let me take another sip. Without Classmate Gern, Aivia is going to break.”

Gern felt the young girl’s breath hitting the back of her neck, and her entire body stiffened.

That was it—Aivia was a vampire, and her sensitivity to the scent of blood far exceeded that of ordinary people.

No matter how clever the disguise, it couldn’t change the essence of one’s blood.

‘Now I’m in big trouble!’

“Let go of me first! Can’t we talk this through properly?!”

Gern tried to negotiate, but Aivia didn’t give her the slightest chance.

“Classmate Gern, I’m so hungry… I’m going to start now.”

Aivia seemed completely immersed in her own world as her sharp canines suddenly pierced Gern’s smooth skin.

At first, there was a slight sting, but the pain quickly transformed into a faint itch, and even a hint of intoxicating comfort.

Gern’s blood was being drawn, and her eyes grew a bit hazy, as if she were about to completely become someone’s blood s*ave.

Just then, a streak of flame shot up from below, striking directly at Aivia’s vitals.

Aivia’s movements jerked to a halt, and she subconsciously looked down.

A figure wreathed in flames was flying rapidly toward her.

“Persistent!”

Aivia cursed under her breath and, no longer caring about drinking Gern’s blood, quickly flew toward the opposite side.

“Birds of Flight!”

With a feminine shout, countless small birds composed of flames blocked Aivia’s path.

Sensing the threat from the fire ahead, Aivia stopped almost instinctively and turned to look behind her.

Lilia slowly floated up from below, her watery blue eyes staring intently at Aivia.

“Aivia, have you had enough!”

Her voice carried the unquestionable majesty of a superior, and the aura of a knight radiated from her body, sweeping recklessly toward Aivia.

“Heh, Gern is mine!”

“I found his location first! I’m the one who knocked on the door!”

“I’m the one who caught him first!”

As the two argued incessantly, Gern weakly raised her hands and spoke at an inopportune moment.

“I still have things to do. If you two are going to have a showdown here, can you let me go back first?”

“No! So you can go back and have a honeymoon with that little girl?”

“No! You are going to be my blood s*ave!”

The two spoke in perfect unison.

Gern shrank her neck, looking somewhat distressed.

‘How did things turn out like this? Does this count as a shura field?’

While Gern was brooding, the two started fighting again.

The powerful aura fluctuations even startled the residents below.

Evelyn, who was wandering outside the Turner estate, also saw this scene and looked up at the sky.

“Hmm? Quade, is that you up there?”

A strange smile immediately curled on Evelyn’s lips.

Her figure instantly became hidden as she kept a close eye on the movements above.

Boom!

Bang!

The clash between magic and knightly power continued.

Aivia was already no match for Lilia, and with Gern in her arms, she soon fell into a disadvantage.

Lilia seized the perfect opportunity and snatched Gern away.

Feeling the familiar scent in the girl’s embrace, Gern gave a strained smile and unconsciously tightened her grip on Lilia.

Lilia was momentarily stunned by Gern’s movement.

In that split second of distraction, Aivia seized the chance and landed a punch on her devastatingly beautiful face.

With a bang, Lilia’s body plummeted downward.

Under the massive impact, Gern accidentally slipped from Lilia’s embrace and fell toward the ground.

Mid-air, Lilia quickly stabilized herself, gnashing her teeth as she looked at the blood-red figure above.

“Damn it!”

Lilia was about to teach that arrogant brat another lesson when she suddenly realized that Gern, who had been in her arms, had vanished.

A moment of panic flashed across her face as she hurriedly looked down.

A figure was smashing toward the ground at high speed.

At this height, even if Gern’s physical strength was above the third rank, she would still suffer severe injuries.

It wouldn’t be good if this affected Gern’s subsequent plans.

Lilia glared fiercely at Aivia and dove downward, only to see a black shadow flash by.

Gern’s shadow disappeared along with it.

Lilia’s beautiful eyes widened; she couldn’t understand who else besides Aivia would be looking for Gern at this time.

Suddenly, she remembered the mature woman she had seen earlier in the crowd who had clashed with Gern, and everything clicked in an instant.

The relationship between 그 person and Gern clearly wasn’t ordinary.

Her feminine intuition told her that the woman definitely had feelings for Gern.

Or rather, she was interested in Gern’s disguised identity.

But none of that mattered anymore.

What mattered was that Gern had come all this way, and yet so many girls were gathered around him.

This left a sour taste in her mouth; weren’t they friends?

Friends should face difficulties together.

What did he mean by leaving her at the academy and then running off to flirt with other women?

The light slowly faded from the girl’s watery blue eyes, and her diving speed increased further.

A violent aura radiated from her, sending chills down one’s spine.

But Evelyn was simply too fast, and as a fifth-rank knight, Lilia had no hope of catching up to her.

Watching Gern get further and further away, Lilia’s eyes actually grew a bit moist.

‘Gern! Why did you leave me behind?’

She thought as she flew, getting angrier the more she thought about it, and thinking about it even more because she was angry.

Anyway, she couldn’t catch that person now, and with the tracking pendant, she wasn’t afraid of being unable to find Gern.

So, she stopped her pursuit and turned to face Aivia, who was rushing over.

“Aivia! You little brat! I’m not finished with you!”

Aivia: “Are? Something seems a bit off…”
