Gern’s face was resolute, his purple eyes brimming with unwavering determination.
The silver-haired girl observed Gern’s steadfast expression, sighed helplessly, and slowly withdrew her hand.
“I respect your choice, but if you ever need anything in the future, you can always come to me.”
“Also, I have a favor to ask of you.”
“What is it?”
“Help me find the remaining Kindling of Reincarnation and then locate suitable candidates for them.”
“Here is a set of Silver Dragon Art. It’s a cultivation technique that my predecessors and I have refined multiple times. I hope it can be of some assistance to you.”
Gern gazed at the cluster of light extended before him, took a few deep breaths, then looked up at Eliza and spoke solemnly.
“Alright, I promise.”
He then reached out and touched the orb of light, and a surge of memories flooded into his mind.
The Silver Dragon Art was, in essence, tailor-made for his Silver Dragon form. Furthermore, since it was transmitted directly into Gern’s mind as memories, he mastered the technique in an instant.
“Thank you.”
“Alright, now there are still things waiting for you to do.”
As Eliza’s voice faded, the surrounding space plunged into darkness once more. After an indeterminate period, Gern opened his eyes to the familiar sight of the ceiling.
“How do you feel?”
Beside him, Snow and Selina both wore expressions of deep concern. Seeing Gern awaken, the worry that had gripped their hearts finally eased.
Once all restraints were removed from Gern, he sat up, clutching his forehead. His head throbbed with an intense ache.
‘I… I’m alright.’
“Tell us, what exactly happened? I saw you struggling quite fiercely.”
Gern carefully recalled everything that transpired after he lost consciousness, then recounted the most crucial details of what he had witnessed to the two women. After listening to Gern’s narrative, Snow and Selina exchanged a glance. It seemed their suspicions were correct: the Kindling within Gern indeed originated from the future.
However, a pressing issue remained. As the creators of the Kindling, they were acutely aware of the terrifying power these fragments possessed. Especially after enduring countless cycles of reincarnation, their destructive potential was beyond imagination. Therefore, they knew they had to take action.
“Gern, your part here is done. I’ve already had your medicinal bath prepared; you can head over there shortly.”
“Understood.”

Meanwhile, within the walls of a remote kingdom, a shadowy figure abruptly materialized. This shadow gradually solidified, ultimately taking the form of a mature woman.
Had Gern been present, he would have recognized her instantly as Matia Fio, one of the Chaos Divine Cult’s bishops, whom Snow had previously shattered with a single blow. Behind her, countless other shadows slowly emerged, positioning themselves in formation.
She turned to face the dark, indistinct figures, her heart bleeding. These individuals were, without a doubt, the core strength of the Heretic God Cult. They represented the only remaining power Matia Fio possessed; had she not acted swiftly, even these vital forces would have been lost.
With no other recourse, Matia Fio could only lead her remaining forces into this small nation. Their objective was to proceed with the Holy Cult’s next phase.
She tallied the number of people behind her, and once she confirmed no one had fallen behind, she spoke.
“You are the last remaining strength of our Holy Cult’s Klett Kingdom branch. For the sake of the Holy Cult’s plan, we cannot lose heart now.”
“I grant you three months to expand the Holy Cult within this small city and continue executing its next phase. Do you have confidence?”
“Yes!”
The group’s voices were not thunderous, yet they were distinctly audible, laced with palpable anger.
Seeing the state of her subordinates, Matia Fio nodded, then called out in a low voice.
“For the Holy Cult! For tomorrow!”
“For the Holy Cult! For the Holy Cult!”

Days later, within Theoviga Academy, Lilia and Aivia were finally released after several days of ideological re-education.
During this period, Gern’s life had been relatively peaceful, with no particularly notable events occurring.
The only noteworthy incident was the departure of the fox-eared girl who had previously helped him; she had left the academy.
According to her, it was a family matter. Gern didn’t pry; the two of them hadn’t shared much interaction, especially given that he was currently in a male body.
After this minor interlude, Gern began to hone his abilities. By day, he attended classes, diligently catching up on magical knowledge, and in his spare moments, he dedicated himself to practicing his powers.
His Silver Dragon form, in particular, had grown significantly more powerful after he learned the Silver Dragon Art, a fact he confirmed through recent tests.
Gern felt he could even surpass Lilia, a prodigious talent, in magical prowess. However, they hadn’t conducted any actual tests yet; this was merely Gern’s unilateral estimation.
While Gern made strides, Lilia, Sina, and Hera were also rapidly growing, already displaying glimpses of their former selves from his previous life.
In the evenings, after classes, Gern remained in his dormitory, engrossed in researching magical concoctions.
Recently, he had successfully developed several potions. It was undeniable that in his snake-girl form, he possessed a unique talent for potion research.
Had Gern attempted research in his original form, he likely wouldn’t have been able to concoct a Mana-draining Potion within such a short timeframe.
After a series of tests, he found that this potion still fell far short of the Mana-draining Potion he remembered from his previous life. Nevertheless, it was effective.
With these research notes, developing the high-grade Mana-draining Potion from his previous life would be a straightforward task.
Beyond these endeavors, Snow would occasionally seek him out to help regulate his body.
Through these medicinal baths, he felt his control over the Kindling had become more adept, and his physical strength was trending towards a new peak.
Gern sensed that with just a little more training, he could begin his breakthrough to become a Fourth-tier Knight.
After a period of such diligent activity, one particular afternoon, Gern was snatched by Snow and brought to the Witch Guild immediately after finishing lunch.
As he followed Snow into the familiar small room, he was immediately startled by the scene before him.
The room was already occupied by several women of breathtaking beauty, each exuding an aura more formidable than the last. A few even surpassed Snow in sheer power.
Confronted by such a multitude of witches, Gern’s instincts, honed over years within the Heretic God Cult in his previous life, screamed at him to flee. Yet, Snow firmly held him in place.
