Chapter 15: This is Much Faster Than Memorizing Words

Four days later, it was Milly’s seventh day in this new world.

Over the past few days, she had grown accustomed to Stacy’s methods. Being hung up, having words written on her body, being force-fed dark cuisine, and then warming her bed at night while being harassed—it was a routine now, and she was starting to get used to it.

Stacy continued to teach her some daily vocabulary. Although her vocabulary was still limited and daily communication was difficult, she could answer specific questions with her clumsy language skills.

She thought this would continue until she had mastered the language, but today felt different…

The first ray of dawn pierced the stained-glass window. Milly instinctively pulled her arm free. She opened her eyes. The disheveled Stacy was still clinging to her like an octopus. It was a familiar morning sight.

With a great effort, she freed herself from the woman’s embrace. It was the same struggle every morning. She got out of bed and went to the floor-length mirror to check herself. Good, her nightgown was still on, and it wasn’t even wrinkled. It seemed Stacy had behaved herself last night.

She let out a sigh of relief. This was the most intact she had woken up in days. Usually, either the buttons on her chest were undone, or her skirt was lifted. Once, it had been even worse. When she woke up, she felt something at her feet. When she picked it up and saw what it was, her face had turned beet red.

She didn’t know if she had done it in her sleep or if Stacy had done it, but her panties had ended up around her ankles. Faced with such a tasteless prank, Milly could only believe it was the latter.

To wake up with nothing amiss this morning was a bit of a surprise. She didn’t believe Stacy could be so well-behaved. Had she suddenly had a change of heart?

Her gaze shifted to the still-sleeping Stacy. With no one in her arms, the woman had turned to hug a pillow. She really had to be hugging something, didn’t she? Milly wondered what Stacy had hugged before she arrived.

Never mind that. She rubbed her growling stomach. It was time for breakfast.

Over the past few days, Milly had successfully won the right to cook. The price was that she had to make two portions, one for Stacy as well. So, the woman knew her own cooking was a mess.

Although Milly was now in charge of all three meals, it was clear that Stacy hadn’t given up on her culinary research. When Milly wasn’t in the kitchen, she would occasionally hear explosions coming from inside. It was only a matter of time before she blew up the kitchen.

After washing up, Milly went to the kitchen to make sandwiches. After the tomatoes and lettuce, Stacy had finally brought some relatively normal-looking meat. Although it was still different from the meat Milly was used to, at least it didn’t move.

She cleaned up the mess Stacy had left yesterday and made a decent-looking sandwich. The bread was still terrible, though. Her mouth had gotten used to it, but it was still terrible.

She wondered what the outside world was like. It had been seven days since she arrived, but she was still trapped in this castle, unable to set foot outside. From the front door, all she could see was a barren wasteland, with no signs of life. The only person she had seen and interacted with was Stacy. When would she finally get to see the outside world?

Chewing on her sandwich, Milly gazed out the stained-glass window. Nothing had changed today. For some reason, her situation reminded her of the story of a hero fighting a dragon to save a princess.

But she wasn’t a princess, and Stacy was just a pervert, not a dragon. As for a hero, Milly didn’t think anyone would come to save a person who had suddenly appeared in another world.

Rather than clinging to such slim hopes, she reviewed the words she had learned recently, so she wouldn’t get hung up again if Stacy decided to test her.

After finishing half a sandwich, a yawning Stacy walked in. Not only was her sleeping posture terrible, but she hadn’t even bothered to fix her nightgown before coming in. One of the straps had slipped off, revealing a large patch of pale skin.

Stacy had a great figure. She was curvy in all the right places and slender where she needed to be. It was a pity she was a pervert. Otherwise, she would have been a perfect, heart-stopping image.

Milly sighed inwardly. Such a beautiful shell, but the personality inside was a mess.

Chewing on her sandwich, she didn’t forget to stand up and say, “Good morning, Master.” It was better to greet her proactively than to wait for Stacy to bring it up.

Her performance this morning should be flawless. She had quickly reviewed the new words she had learned yesterday. There shouldn’t be any problems.

As long as Stacy didn’t make things difficult for her, she should be able to achieve her first “no-damage” morning. But Stacy seemed not to have heard her. She grabbed a sandwich and devoured it in a few bites, her red eyes fixed on Milly.

Her stare made Milly’s scalp tingle. Had she done something wrong today? What was Stacy doing? Without warning, Stacy suddenly stood up and grabbed Milly’s shoulders.

“Little Milly, I think the progress is a bit too slow.”

Slow? Her brain capacity was limited. Thirty new words a day was her limit. She wasn’t studying for the graduate entrance exam. Why was she pushing her so hard?

And she said she was teaching her the language, but all she had ever taught her were individual words and their pronunciation. She had never mentioned pronunciation rules, grammar, or any other language rules.

If she suddenly decided to increase the daily vocabulary from thirty to fifty, she might as well just start the punishment now.

She could have just found an excuse to punish her, but she had to teach her a few new words first.

“It’s not slow, Master.”

She swallowed the last bite. The previous teaching method was fine. Step by step, she would eventually learn. But now Stacy was complaining that it was too slow and wanted to change the teaching plan. Milly couldn’t guarantee that she could keep up. Even if Stacy came up with new ways to punish her, if she couldn’t keep up, she couldn’t keep up. It was like a math problem; you couldn’t force it.

“It’s too slow.” The plate in front of her suddenly shattered into dust. Before Milly could react, a dangerous rainbow light flickered in Stacy’s eyes. “This playtime teaching should end.”

It wasn’t playtime. Thinking of all the punishments she had endured over the past few days, who played house by hanging someone up?

She was about to protest with the words she had learned, but a grimoire suddenly appeared in Stacy’s hand.

As Stacy flipped through the grimoire, the characters on the pages seemed to come to life, floating off the pages and into the air.

“Wait…”

Several tentacles as thick as bowls shot out from under Stacy’s skirt, wrapping around Milly’s limbs and pulling her from her chair. Her unspoken protest was forced back down her throat.

She couldn’t struggle. She was dragged in front of Stacy, wrapped in tentacles.

Before Milly could say anything, Stacy’s fingertip touched her forehead, a massive amount of magical power surging from it.

“This is much faster than memorizing words.”
