Chapter 120 : You Finally Realize How Disgusting You Are?

“Well, Stacy, how pathetic.”

Seeing no response, Lillian’s lips curled into a playful arc. Was there a better time to mock her? If she didn’t take this chance, she might never get another.

She wasn’t responding because she hadn’t hit a nerve yet.

“Oh my,” she said, mimicking Stacy’s old tone, so sweet it was nauseating. “Our dear Fell God has been dumped. How pitiful.”

Stacy shot her a cold glance, still silent.

Lillian wasn’t in a hurry. Although her body had been taken over, she had gained something in return. In her current state, she could read some of Stacy’s memories. The deeper ones were off-limits, but she could see some related to Milly.

“Let’s see~ what have you been up to, Stacy?” Lillian narrowed her eyes, as if watching an interesting play. “Oh~ you did so much for her in the dungeon. And what did you get? Nothing but scorn.”

“Tsk tsk… why did you even bother?”

She couldn’t see everything, but from the fragments, she knew the answer. But to just say it would be too boring.

Seeing Stacy’s silence, Lillian continued to pour fuel on the fire.

“It’s okay if she’s not grateful. Even if she leaves, you can just drag her back, right?”

“Even if she doesn’t agree, you’re good at forcing people to stay by your side, aren’t you?”

“With your tentacles, your sigils, your cages, and…”

Lillian in the mirror licked her lips, about to reveal the next answer, when Stacy’s cold gaze fell on her.

“Shut up.”

Lillian clutched her chest, a dramatic expression on her face. “So fierce~ our dear Fell God, are you getting angry?”

The figure in the mirror lunged forward, as if to break out.

“Such a big reaction. Did I hit a nerve?”

“Noisy.”

If she just broke the mirror, Lillian’s annoying voice would disappear. Seeing her intention, Lillian’s voice dripped with sarcasm.

“You don’t really think that if I don’t say it, it didn’t happen, do you?”

She had seen it all in Stacy’s mind. The things that had happened to Milly were unbelievable.

But this was Stacy. Nothing was beyond her.

With a crack, a fissure appeared on the mirror. Stacy’s face was terrifyingly dark. Lillian knew that look. It was the sign of someone who had been hit where it hurt.

“Angry now?”

Lillian’s smile grew wider. Before Stacy could break the mirror, she would say a few more things.

“Stacy, I ask you.”

A mocking smile on her red lips.

Looking at the memories, it was no wonder Milly was not grateful, that she would rather be hunted by the Church than stay under the same roof with her.

“Have you done a single decent thing to her?”

In front of Stacy, Lillian deliberately counted on her fingers.

“Locking her in a cage, feeding her that disgusting, indescribable food, covering her in sigils…”

As she counted, she laughed.

“And faking your death to make her dependent on you. Stacy, how wonderful, how truly wonderful~”

With every word, Stacy’s face grew darker.

Lillian’s smile grew wider. She had never seen such an expression on Stacy before. Milly’s appearance had really changed her.

“What’s wrong?”

“Don’t you want to break the mirror and shut me up? Why are you so quiet now?”

“Did I hit a nerve? Oh, no, our dear Fell God would never be bothered by such small things.”

“Or is it,” Lillian paused, tilting her head, her voice filled with contempt.

“Stacy, you finally realize how disgusting you are?”

Stacy’s pupils shrank.

“Shut up!”

The crack on the mirror spread. It was on the verge of shattering.

She had hit a nerve again. The more she reacted, the more it proved she was right. Now, for the final blow. If she could shake her spirit, she might be able to read her deeper memories.

She couldn’t wait to know what Stacy had seen that day.

“Stacy, you’re making that face again.” Lillian’s voice was low, as cold as Milly’s. “Guess how much she hates you?”

Stacy clutched her chest. Just a few light words, but it felt like a sword had pierced her heart.

Satisfied with Stacy’s pale face, that vulnerable expression, Lillian thought, how wonderful.

The next moment, the mirror shattered. Glass fragments flew everywhere, each one reflecting Lillian’s face.

“Stacy, you brought all this on yourself.”

Lillian’s image disappeared, but her words echoed in her mind.

“I told you to shut up!”

After the roar, silence. The floor was covered in powdered glass. She didn’t have to look to know how ugly her face was.

She started to walk, but her legs gave out. She had to hold onto the sink to keep from falling.

She… she would? She could feel her own abnormal heartbeat. It was like the fear of losing something.

She just… she just wanted… no, Lillian was right. She had brought all this on herself.

From the beginning, there had been better ways. But they would have taken time, a lot of time. And they were running out of time.

This was the only chance. She couldn’t afford to wait… but the image of Milly running into the storm, not looking back, flashed in her mind. She must hate her.

She pushed herself up and went to the entryway. She looked out at the storm. She felt a sense of powerlessness she had never felt before.

What could she do now?

A few dry laughs. But all she could hear was an endless emptiness.

What could she say now?

She had used every trick, every threat, every reward. But in the end? Milly would rather run into a storm and be hunted by the whole city than stay with her.

She hated her.

The moment she realized it, a strange pain pierced her chest. How ridiculous. She shouldn’t be feeling this.

Milly.

She looked out at the storm. She could find her. The thorn sigil would give her her exact location. But so what? The stubborn little one would just try to run away again.

Forcibly bring her back… with Milly’s personality, she would rather die. And that would only make her hate her more.

Her mind was in turmoil, but her body was already moving. When she came to, the rain was soaking her dress.
