Chapter 60: A Past Unveiled and Playful Teasing

“Eileen.”

“What is it, Lady Faltis?” Eileen lifted her head.

“You haven’t really had a chance to explore the human world yet, have you?” Faltis inquired.

Eileen pondered for a moment before nodding. “No, aside from the road leading to the Empire, I don’t have many impressions of other places.”

“Then how about this? After we return from the Isle of Celestial Illusions, I’ll take you on a tour of the human world. What do you say?” Faltis proposed.

“?” A large question mark seemed to hover above Eileen’s head.

“What’s wrong? You must have someone you care about back in the Empire, don’t you?” Faltis asked.

“…”

“Judging by your expression, don’t tell me… there isn’t a single one?”

“Though I’m reluctant to admit it, that is indeed the truth,” Eileen affirmed. “I lost my parents when I was very young and was subsequently adopted by the Empire into an orphanage.”

“Didn’t you make any friends in the orphanage, then?”

“How should I put it…” Eileen considered her words carefully, trying to find the most appropriate way to phrase it. “I once thought about becoming friends with everyone in the orphanage, but it seemed they all disliked me.”

“Why was that?”

“Yes, why indeed?” Eileen chuckled, a hint of self-deprecation in her voice. “At the time, I didn’t quite understand why things were that way. I simply wondered if I had done something wrong.”

“But now I know. In every orphanage, only one child truly gets to enter the Empire every six months. To compete for that single spot, naturally, no one would become friends.”

“That sounds like a truly brutal competition.”

Upon hearing Eileen’s story, Faltis was visibly moved.

“I thought Lady Faltis already knew about my past,” Eileen remarked.

“I’m not so bored as to pry into other people’s memories.” Faltis tapped her fingers rhythmically on the table. “In that case, we absolutely must visit the Empire.”

“Why?”

“To properly bid farewell to your past, wouldn’t you agree?”

“Is Lady Faltis preparing for me to become a full-fledged dragon, then?”

“Not at all. Haven’t I always said it? Defeat me, and you’ll be free. You’ll reclaim everything you once possessed,” Faltis declared.

‘So that’s what Faltis meant by her words before?’

Eileen didn’t wish to dwell on the topic. “It seems I truly do need to go back once.”

“Right?” Faltis took a few sips of tea before setting down her cup and picking up her documents once more.

“Lady Faltis, are there still so many files left to organize?”

In the past few days, Eileen had barely seen the stack of files on Faltis’s desk diminish, which made her wonder if they were deliberately placed there.

“Most of them are already sorted. The rest are all about the Isle of Celestial Illusions.” Faltis rubbed her temples, a hint of a headache in her voice. “I truly don’t know which busybody decided this, but it has to be held every five years.”

Faltis was filled with impatience regarding the matter, lacking the usual anticipation of other dragons.

Eileen walked behind Faltis and began to massage her shoulders.

Eileen had no understanding of such matters, so naturally, she couldn’t offer Faltis any assistance.

Faltis’s tightly furrowed brows relaxed slightly. She placed her hand over Eileen’s. “You should go rest.”

“Okay.”

Eileen sat on the bed, pulling the covers over herself.

Although it was meant to warm the bed, Eileen’s body temperature simply couldn’t heat it up.

Perhaps Faltis simply preferred this temperature.

As before, Eileen sat on the bed, gazing at Faltis.

However, in the past, she mostly spent her time spacing out, waiting for Faltis to issue a command before she would approach.

But now?

While still somewhat similar to before, her mindset had undergone a tremendous change.

Approximately half an hour later, Faltis stretched lazily and turned to look at Eileen.

She noticed Eileen wasn’t asleep and was also watching her, but upon realizing Faltis’s gaze, Eileen guiltily averted her eyes.

Faltis smiled faintly, set down her pen, and slowly walked towards the bed.

Eileen shut her eyes tightly, pulling the blanket over her head.

But it was all in vain!

Whenever they were on the bed, Eileen was simply no match for Faltis!

Though, it seemed she wasn’t a match anywhere else either.

Faltis directly pulled back a corner of the blanket, revealing Eileen’s adorable little feet.

Her hand rested on Eileen’s foot, and she could feel Eileen visibly tremble.

But how could Faltis stop there?

Both of her hands moved up Eileen’s leg, slowly ascending.

They glided past her calves, over her knees, into her thighs, beneath her dress, and then continued slowly upwards.

Eileen couldn’t bear it any longer. She threw off the blanket and pressed down on Faltis’s head. “Lady Faltis, what are you trying to do?”

“I’m thirsty.”

“Then I’ll go pour you some water right away! Please don’t pull up my skirt!” Faltis’s upper body was nearly burrowed inside Eileen’s dress.

Eileen shifted her body, allowing Faltis to emerge from her nightgown.

Eileen got out of bed and poured Faltis a glass of water.

Faltis drank it in one gulp, seemingly genuinely thirsty, but ‘why did you have to pull up my skirt?’

After finishing the water, Faltis patted the spot beside her, her intention quite clear.

Eileen sighed. Since she was already here, Eileen had naturally prepared herself mentally for what was to come.

“I understand, Lady Faltis.” Eileen climbed onto the bed, closed her eyes, and lay there, like a lamb awaiting slaughter.

She knew very well that resistance was futile; the more she resisted, the more it would ignite Faltis’s desires. It was better to just lie still and begin to enjoy it.

“Xiao Ai, what are you doing?” Faltis asked.

“?” Eileen opened her eyes, realizing her clothes were still perfectly on.

“Oh… I see! Xiao Ai, is it because of what happened this morning that you’ve become a little… unsatisfied, right?” Faltis’s finger traced circles on Eileen’s stomach.

“No, no! It’s not like that!” Eileen quickly interjected.

“Then what is it? I merely asked you to lie down, and you nearly took off your clothes,” Faltis said, smiling at Eileen.

Eileen’s cute little face immediately flushed crimson, and silver scales began to appear on her arms.
