Chapter 3: The Dragon Emperor’s Authority

‘Master…’

As soon as Felicia heard that address, a wave of unsettling thoughts washed over her.

How could she possibly think such things? Well, before her transmigration, she had been a well-fed, well-rested, and well-entertained young person.

It was only natural for her to have encountered all sorts of peculiar content.

Almost instantly, Felicia’s mind conjured up something utterly dreadful, like a master-servant contract.

Seraphina, though not a mind-reader, could discern the general direction of Felicia’s thoughts from the expression on her face.

“I wouldn’t use such a thing on you… or rather, whether I do or not depends entirely on your attitude.”

“My attitude?” Felicia truly found herself at a loss for understanding this time.

“Hmm~ If you refrain from attempting to escape and instead stay here obediently to cultivate our relationship, I can offer you not only freedom but also the chance to become my wife,” Seraphina replied.

“Conversely, if you continually resist me, I might occasionally resort to certain coercive measures. That would be detrimental to both of us.”

At this point, the words ‘Seraphina’ and ‘pervert’ had become synonymous in Felicia’s mind, so she naturally disbelieved every word.

Felicia was about to speak again, but before she could utter a sound, a rumbling emanated from her stomach.

Felicia felt a blush creep up her neck, yet Seraphina seemed entirely unfazed by it.

“You haven’t eaten all day, so hunger is inevitable. Stay here quietly and don’t wander off. Wait for me,” Seraphina instructed before departing.

Felicia was left alone in the room.

‘Don’t wander off… how could I possibly wander off? I can’t even get out of bed right now.’

Unable to do anything, Felicia simply sprawled out on the bed in an unladylike fashion, staring blankly at the ceiling.

‘It’s only been a full day since I transmigrated to this异world, but the experiences of this one day are far more profound than my previous eighteen years.’

After a while, Seraphina still hadn’t returned, and Felicia began to feel bored.

‘No phone, no internet, just lying in bed unable to do anything. How utterly boring~’

Felicia, lying on the bed, flipped over like a pancake in a hot skillet.

Suddenly, she felt a sharp pang in her head.

‘Hmm? Does this body also suffer from occasional headaches?’ That was her first thought.

She used to experience sporadic headaches when she was a boy, but since she considered it a minor issue, she had never consulted a doctor.

Upon reflection, however, Felicia dismissed that possibility. She genuinely felt as if something new had appeared in her mind.

What could it be?

‘This must involve something supernatural or magical. Should I try to interact with it using magic?’

Felicia was utterly bored anyway, so she decided to act on her impulse.

She channeled her magic, reaching out to touch the mysterious addition in her mind.

A flash of white light enveloped her, and Felicia found herself standing in a mysterious, pristine white space.

It was an expanse of pure white, seemingly devoid of anything else.

‘Where did this place come from? Can I even leave?’ Felicia looked around, but all she saw was an endless white void.

‘Instead of overthinking things here, I might as well walk around. What if I discover something new?’

After a moment’s consideration, Felicia chose a random direction and began to walk.

She did not know how long she had walked—perhaps a minute, perhaps an hour—but eventually, she saw something different. It was a golden, spherical object, radiating a soft glow.

Felicia instinctively walked towards it, raising her right hand to touch the glowing orb.

In an instant, a torrent of information flooded Felicia’s mind, nearly reducing her to an incoherent idiot.

Fortunately, Felicia’s mind was sharp. After a brief moment of disorientation, she regained her composure and began to process the sudden influx of data.

‘Ha! I knew it! How could I transmigrate without a cheat? So this is my exclusive cheat!’

From the information she received, Felicia understood that the golden orb before her was the Dragon Emperor’s Authority—a unique artifact within the Dragon race.

The full description of the Dragon Emperor’s Authority was exceedingly complex, but in essence, it was a special item possessing various dominion-type abilities, usable only by the Dragon Emperor or their direct descendants.

Felicia, being the daughter of the former Dragon Emperor Il by bloodline, was naturally able to wield the Dragon Emperor’s Authority.

She continued to read through the description.

Currently, Felicia possessed the Dragon Emperor’s Authority but was not yet the Dragon Emperor herself. She was, in effect, a ‘Dragon Emperor Candidate,’ needing to fulfill a series of requirements to fully transform into a true Dragon Emperor and completely master the Authority.

‘Whose discount cheat is this?’ Felicia grumbled.

Nevertheless, having a cheat was better than having none. At least with a cheat, there was hope.

This white space was the consciousness realm constructed by the Dragon Emperor’s Authority. Felicia’s consciousness could enter this space, while her physical body remained in the outside world.

With a thought, Felicia exited the consciousness realm, her real-world self still lying on the bed.

Felicia sat up, the gloomy feelings from being bullied by Seraphina now completely dispelled.

‘Hehehehehe…’ At this moment, the smile on Felicia’s face was irrepressible.

The thought of fully unlocking the Dragon Emperor’s Authority and becoming the Dragon Emperor, after which she could thoroughly teach Seraphina a lesson, sent Felicia into an ecstatic frenzy.

Just then, Seraphina pushed open the door, a bowl of porridge in her hand, and saw Felicia sitting on the bed, giggling foolishly.

She set down the food, leaned close to Felicia’s ear, and softly inquired,

“Quite happy, aren’t we~ What is the little one thinking about?”

“W-wah!” Felicia yelped in surprise. If she hadn’t been unable to jump, she would most likely have leaped from the bed to the floor.

“Why did you just appear out of nowhere like that? You’re like a ghost! Don’t you know startling people can scare them to death?”

“I didn’t just appear, you merely overlooked me,” Seraphina countered, holding the porridge. She scooped a spoonful, preparing to feed it to Felicia.

“Wait, wait! Can I drink it myself?” Felicia felt she couldn’t quite accept being fed like this.

“Oh? Can you manage that?” Seraphina retorted.

“Well…” Felicia considered her current physical condition and realized it was highly improbable she could do so.

“Then you feed me.”

“Beg me~”

“You!” Felicia looked up, meeting Seraphina’s gaze. After a moment’s thought, she concluded that one must bow their head when under another’s roof.

“I-I beg you to feed me…” Felicia deliberated for a long time before speaking in a very small voice.

“Louder, I can’t hear you. And have you forgotten your place?”

Reminded by Seraphina, Felicia’s expression soured.

Felicia constantly reminded herself inwardly that this was only temporary. Once she developed, the tables would turn.

“I-I beg Master to feed me…”

“Your voice is still a bit soft, but your performance is good.”

It was clear that Seraphina was quite satisfied with Felicia’s display.
