That was Felicia’s first sensation upon waking.
The sun shone brightly; flowers smiled at me.
Today’s sunlight was especially dazzling. Its rays fell on Felicia’s body, warm and comfortable.
Through the window, she could see birds soaring freely in the blue sky. A flicker of longing rose in Felicia’s eyes.

Seeing Anna, Felicia relaxed a little.
Anna carried in a tray. Behind her followed Yunwu and Yunyu, who helped Felicia sit up.
Given Felicia’s current condition, she couldn’t even sit up on her own without help.
Anna was in charge of feeding her. Yunyu crouched nearby, playing games, while Yunwu watched her play. Everyone had something to do.
“Um… where’s Seraphina?” Felicia hesitated before asking slowly.
“I know that,” Yunyu said after finishing a game. “When I passed by the garden this morning, I saw the Lady heading to the pavilion with a silver-haired girl.”

“I am a guest of honor of this castle’s master. You should not be so rude.” She reached up to adjust her hat, not deigning to acknowledge the guards.
“We were not aware that Lady Seraphina had such a guest,” one guard replied.
“Apologies, but it is our duty,” another added.
“Fine, fine.” The girl sighed. “But I’ve already messaged her. I only need to wait a little while. I have plenty of time.”
“Since I’m free, let me introduce myself briefly. My name is Bai Ye, a traveling wanderer.”
No sooner had Bai Ye finished her introduction than Seraphina appeared outside the castle.
“All of you, stand down. She is indeed my guest,” Seraphina said.
With Seraphina’s order, the guards said nothing more. They stopped blocking Bai Ye and returned to their posts.
“You came rather quickly this time,” Seraphina said to Bai Ye. “Usually, when I call for you, I don’t see you for days.”

The two walked to the garden pavilion and sat opposite each other.
Seraphina clapped her hands. Anna appeared and poured hot tea for both of them.

“Next time,” Seraphina replied.
“Well, how to put this… Simply put, I have a pet. She’s been unwell lately, and I want you to help treat her.”
“I’m not a veterinarian. Just because I know life magic doesn’t mean I should handle such trivial matters. Besides, it’s just a pet, not one you’ve raised for years. If it’s sick, just give it some medicine and hope for the best.” Bai Ye said dismissively.
