Join the Server“What festival is it today?” Haikong asked.
“Lantern Festival,” Yun Que replied.
“Lantern what?”
“Lantern Festival.”
“Lantern Festival what?”
Yun Que directly put a bucket over Haikong’s head. He shook his head rapidly to get it off.
“I’m a patient, you know. Treat me like this, and I’ll sue you for abuse,” Haikong said.
Now Haikong lay in a hospital bed, wearing a blue-and-white striped gown, his legs, torso, and arms wrapped in layers of bandages.
“I still remember how you looked when I first saw you. I thought they’d dug up a mummy from some pyramid,” Yun Que teased.
“You could save the sarcastic remarks,” Haikong rolled his eyes.
“But this doesn’t seem like a xianxia world, right? So probably no such thing,” Wumi said as she approached.
“And… what do you do during the Lantern Festival?” Anka poked her head in.
“Boss, you’re here too…” Haikong forced a smile.
“Occasionally caring for subordinates is necessary,” Anka replied.
“Is this the most words you’ve ever spoken, boss?” Haikong suddenly asked.
“…” Anka fell silent.
“Fine, pretend I said nothing.” Haikong shrugged.
“So who beat you up like this?” Yun Que plopped down on the bed.
“Ow ow ow ow ow! You damn sat on my leg!”
“Sorry, sorry!” Yun Que quickly got off and turned to see Haikong twisting in pain on the bed.
“Hiss… Can I say I’ve lived another day?” Haikong said.
“So who exactly beat you like this? I remember not many could do that,” Wumi was also curious.
“How about this: we’ll each call each other whatever—you call me partner, I call you mom—and don’t ask about this, okay?” Haikong blinked.
“Better not pick at Haikong’s scars,” Anka agreed.
Actually, last night Anka had accepted a hush payment from Seraphina and threatened Haikong that if he told, she’d turn him into a real mummy. So Haikong dared not speak.
“Since the boss says so, I have nothing to say.” Wumi shook her head and stopped asking.
“So what’s usually done during the Lantern Festival?” Yun Que suddenly asked after a long silence.
“I don’t know. I’ve hardly celebrated any festivals in my life,” Haikong shrugged.
“Well, you can’t ask me. This B and I are always together,” Wumi pointed at Haikong.
As for Anka… she was the one who first asked. How could she possibly know?
“Let me look it up…” Wumi took out her phone and searched.
“Apparently, you eat yuanxiao, watch lanterns, solve lantern riddles, and stuff?”
“I can’t understand anything except the first one,” Yun Que said.
“Can’t you use your brain a bit more?” Haikong rolled his eyes. “Watching lanterns and such—I’m still injured, can’t do it.”
“No worries. After we watch the lanterns, we’ll post it on Moments so you can be jealous,” Wumi said.
“Holy crap, how can your 37-degree mouth say such cold words?!” Haikong exclaimed.
“Spending too much time with you changes a person,” Wumi replied.
“Was I really like that before? Shocking.” Haikong was stunned.
“Yes, you were,” Wumi nodded. “And let’s talk about how you made me lose my bankbook? That was quite a sum.”
“…” Haikong fell completely silent.
“Is it too late to call you mom?”
“Calling me grandma won’t help either. Die!” Wumi directly strangled Haikong’s neck.
“Calm down, calm down!” Yun Que quickly tried to stop her.
“Yun Que, have you forgotten your own bankbook?!” Wumi shouted.
Yun Que hesitated.
Yun Que let go.
Yun Que joined Wumi’s side.
“Damn, these two madwomen are going to choke me to death! Help, boss!” Haikong was now having more trouble breathing.
Just as Haikong was about to meet his eternal rest, Anka stopped their further murder.
But now Haikong’s injuries were a little worse.
“What sin have I committed…” Haikong said, now a mummy again.
Of course, that wasn’t the worst. The worst was that he, as an immobilized patient, had to watch the three of them eat yuanxiao.
“Are you all poets?!” Haikong yelled.
“Eheh.” Anka winked playfully.
“Boss, don’t make that face!”
Only Haikong was hurt. The world was complete.

Inside the castle, Felicia lay slumped on the table, clearly lacking energy.
She’d had a nightmare last night and hadn’t slept well.
“I feel like today is a special day, but I have no energy at all. Let me just sleep through it,” Felicia said, lying on the table as if about to fall asleep.
As if that were possible—Felicia was still waiting for lunch.
“What’s for lunch today?” Felicia asked.
“You’ll know in a moment,” Seraphina replied.
“Always being mysterious…”
Soon, Anna brought up today’s lunch, along with a bowl of yuanxiao.
But it seemed there was none for Seraphina—it was all for Felicia.
As a dragon girl, Felicia would have no problem finishing it all; nothing would go to waste.
“Aren’t you hungry?” Felicia looked at Seraphina.
“I’m not hungry,” Seraphina answered.
So Felicia lowered her head and ate, but she felt a strange sensation. She looked up at Seraphina.
“Why are you staring at me?” Felicia asked.
“I’m not,” Seraphina said with a straight face.
After a while.
“I mean, if you keep staring at me like that, I’ll have trouble eating well.” Felicia looked up at Seraphina a second time.
“You can’t see me staring, so how can you say that?” Seraphina refused to admit it.
“I’m speechless… But I’m done eating. I’m going back for a nap. Good afternoon~”
With that, Felicia prepared to return to her cozy bed for a nap, but Seraphina stopped her.
“Y-y-you, what are you doing? I warn you, don’t mess around!” Felicia hugged herself and stepped back helplessly.
Felicia backed away, and Seraphina advanced. She fled, Seraphina chased—she couldn’t escape.
Then Felicia was pinned against the wall.
“You ate the yuanxiao, but I haven’t yet,” Seraphina said.
“I asked you earlier, and you said you didn’t want any! Don’t blame me!” Felicia struggled.
“But the yuanxiao I want to eat isn’t the ordinary kind.” Seraphina’s hand pointed at Felicia’s chest.
“I wonder… can I have a bite of them?”
“Absolutely not!” Felicia refused decisively.
“But that’s not for you to decide~”
……
Afterward, Felicia had a very peaceful nap. Congratulations.
