Join the ServerWhile someone in the castle was plotting an escape, another person was being beaten like a dead dog in the training room.
That someone was Yun Que.
In just a few hours, Yun Que had experienced nearly every manner of defeat: being split in two by a sharp blade, having a greatsword plunge into her heart, being pinned to the wall by several daggers, watching helplessly as her own blood slowly drained away…
“Senior… where did you learn such powerful healing magic?” Yun Que asked curiously after being healed by Yvonne once again.
“I learned it from a nun. I was a nun back then as well,” Yvonne replied. “If I recall correctly, her name was Bai Ye.”
“I once asked her why she chose that name. Her answer was, ‘I am but a fallen leaf, drifting with the wind.'”
“What a strange person…” Yun Que said.
“Yeah, I think so too.” Yvonne nodded. “But this Bai Ye is truly skilled. I’ve never seen her fail to heal someone.”
“Whether the person is cursed or severely injured, as long as they’re not dead, Bai Ye can save them. I sometimes suspect she’s a monster who is equally proficient in curse magic, purification magic, and soul magic.”
“So strong…” Yun Que admired.
Yvonne didn’t respond. Yun Que stood up on her own.
“Please instruct me, senior.” Even though her body was still trembling, Yun Que’s hands gripping the longsword were incredibly steady.
“Take a break first. Balance work and rest.” Yvonne spoke up.
“Okay.” Yun Que released her grip. The longsword clattered to the ground with a crisp sound.
Physical wounds could be healed, but her mental fatigue had nearly reached its limit. Yun Que even felt as if she might fall asleep and never wake up.
“But don’t just sit idle. Let me tell you about the power ranking in this world.” Yvonne began to explain.
“In this world, people’s strength is divided into eight tiers: Tianwei, Yuwei, Xiwei, Xinwei, Shangwei, Chaowei, False God, and God Tier.”
“The six gods of the Tianqi Continent are at the God Tier.”
“Below them are the False Gods and Chaowei, known as the Overlords.”
“Tianwei, Yuwei, Xiwei, Xinwei, Shangwei, Chaowei, False God, God Tier…” Yun Que murmured softly.
“You are currently at Tianwei,” Yvonne continued. “Tianwei represents ordinary humans. In this world, they shatter at the slightest touch, almost worthless.”
“Yuwei is slightly stronger than ordinary humans. They can hunt magical beasts and have some ability to protect themselves.”
“These two levels are the most common. Above that, there are far fewer.”
“Then what level are you, senior?” Yun Que asked curiously.
“Me? I am Xinwei, the fourth level.” Yvonne replied. “At this level, one can become an army by themselves, slaughtering thousands of troops without a scratch.”
Yun Que wanted to say more, but was interrupted by a sudden knock at the door.
“Hey hey hey? Are the people inside still busy?” It was Wumi’s voice.
“Come in.” Yvonne snapped her fingers, and the training room door opened. Yun Que saw Wumi standing at the entrance.
“Yun Que, come with me for a moment,” Wumi said to Yun Que.
“Is something the matter?” Yun Que stood up and walked toward Wumi. She wondered why Wumi would suddenly come looking for her.
“Come with me first. Lady Anka has arranged a place for you to stay,” Wumi said.
Yun Que had many questions—why would Anka arrange accommodation for her, and what kind of place it would be. But in the end, she didn’t voice them and quietly followed Wumi.
Wumi led Yun Que to a flower shop on the edge of the central district of Tianxing City.
The flower shop was called Daybreak. It wasn’t large, and outside were planted many species of flowers she had never seen before.
Yun Que glanced curiously at the price of one bouquet of flowers: five million crystals per seed.
“…?” Yun Que was momentarily stunned.
Yun Que.EXE has stopped responding.JPG.
“Is something wrong?” Wumi turned and asked, seeing Yun Que’s petrified expression.
“It’s just… this… that…” Yun Que pointed at the prices of the flower seeds outside the shop.
Each one was priced at either hundreds of thousands or millions of crystals per seed. Yun Que even noticed one seed with a price of thirteen million crystals.
‘Does anyone actually buy these seeds? Spending that much money on a single seed is nothing but a pure sucker move.’ That was Yun Que’s opinion.
“So that’s what you wanted to ask.” Wumi, through her True Sight Eye, saw Yun Que’s future question.
“Let Haikong explain this to you later.”
“Haikong?” Yun Que thought of that joker who had been so cheeky all along the way, and her expression changed slightly.
“Hello hello~ I just came out and heard someone calling my name. What, did you miss me?” Haikong walked out of the flower shop, seeing Wumi and Yun Que standing outside.
“Yo, it’s Miss Yun Que. Welcome to our organization,” Haikong greeted Yun Que.
“So can you first explain what’s up with these flowers?”
“Oh, this? This is a property purchased under the boss’s name, and she opened a flower shop here,” Haikong explained.
“Though it’s called a flower shop, it’s actually an organization. Right now, the organization only has the boss, me, and Wumi—three people. You’ll be the fourth.”
“But even if it’s just a flower shop in name, it’s still a flower shop. So the boss brought in some rare flower seeds and set ridiculously high prices to deter people.”
“Of course, we also sell some normal flowers. For example, this one.” Haikong took out a carnation. “Five crystals per bloom. If you buy a bouquet now, it’s only ninety-nine crystals~”
“…” Yun Que was silent.
“Now I’m the fourth member of your flower shop… no, organization. So technically, I’m your colleague, right?”
“Yeah,” Haikong nodded.
“You’re even trying to make money off your colleague?!” Yun Que couldn’t help but complain.
“Why not? You’ve got to do whatever it takes to make money.” Haikong shrugged. “I owe a hundred billion crystals, you know.”
“Really?”
“Fake.” Wumi mercilessly exposed Haikong’s lie. “He’s already fooled eight naive girls with that line. Hope you’re not the ninth.”
“…” Yun Que looked at Haikong as if he were scum.
“You talk, you talk. I’m off.” Realizing the atmosphere had turned sour, Haikong quickly slipped away, leaving only Yun Que and Wumi.
“Sigh… I’d better take you to pick a room first.” As if losing all energy and means, Wumi led Yun Que to the second floor.
“The first floor is where we receive guests. Of course, no one usually comes, so you can think of it as a useless room.”
“The second floor is the living area. I, Haikong, and the boss each have a room. There are three empty rooms now. Pick whichever you like.”
“Mhm.”
