Felicia lay in bed, with nothing to do.
Of course, there was nothing she could do anyway.
Her body had barely recovered. She could at least sit up in bed, but as for walking on the ground—Felicia didn’t think that was possible.
Yunwu and Yunyu still had to prepare lunch; they couldn’t stay with Felicia forever. Anna, as the de facto manager of the castle, had countless tasks to handle every day.

“Is she the patient I need to treat?” Bai Ye had been standing outside the door and now walked in.
It was then that Felicia noticed Bai Ye. For some reason, looking at her gave Felicia a strange sense of familiarity, even though she had never seen her before.
“…” Bai Ye stared at Felicia, also lost in thought. The feeling of familiarity wasn’t just Felicia’s—Bai Ye felt it too.
“Huh?” Seraphina was the only one in the dark. Watching her pet and her friend stare at each other blankly, she was utterly confused.
“What kind of performance art is this?” she asked.
Bai Ye was the first to snap out of it. She coughed twice to hide her embarrassment. “No, nothing. It’s just that she’s so beautiful, I was momentarily stunned.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Felicia echoed, nodding along mindlessly.
Seraphina’s intuition told her that both Bai Ye and Felicia were lying—especially Felicia, whose lie was far too obvious. But not knowing why they had been staring at each other, she decided not to dwell on it.
“Serious injuries,” Bai Ye said after just a few glances at Felicia. “They must have been caused by highly destructive mana—like lightning or fire attribute, or maybe some special type.”
“The damage is severe. For an ordinary human of the Twilight Rank, they’d probably be dead in bed. Only a race as resilient as the Dragon Clan could still be hopping around.”
“I’m not hopping around right now,” Felicia said.
“To me, as long as you’re not lying in bed on the verge of death, that counts as hopping around,” Bai Ye replied. “My healing abilities are quite strong.”
“You’re not some super doctor friend out of a ridiculous CEO novel, are you?” Felicia teased.
“CEO? What’s that? But I can indeed be called a doctor.”
“… Forget I said anything.”
“Now, unrelated parties need to step out. I’m going to start the treatment.” Bai Ye pulled a chair out of her spatial storage and sat down.
“Hey hey hey, normally when someone says that, they pull out scalpels and medicine. What’s with the chair? Are you even a real doctor?!” Felicia looked at Bai Ye, speechless.
Then she looked at Seraphina.
Felicia was now seriously suspecting that Seraphina wanted her dead, hence why she found such an obviously unreliable amateur doctor.
Seraphina, however, didn’t explain. She simply nodded and left the room.
Once Seraphina closed the door and left, Bai Ye snapped her fingers. A magical barrier instantly formed, enveloping them.
“Can we talk?” Bai Ye looked at Felicia.
“What’s there to talk about?”
“For example… do we know each other?” Bai Ye leaned in closer. “I sense a familiarity with you. That’s not something two people meeting for the first time should have.”
“I have no idea,” Felicia said casually.
How would Felicia know why two strangers felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity?
Even love at first sight wasn’t like this.
And Felicia was certain she didn’t feel love at first sight for Bai Ye.
“Alright, seems you don’t want to talk about it,” Bai Ye shook her head. “Fair enough. This kind of thing isn’t something you just casually bring up.”
“It’s not that I don’t want to, I really don’t know…” Felicia told the truth.
“Mm, I understand.” Bai Ye nodded.

Felicia wanted to say that, but she was too exhausted to retort, so she kept quiet.
“Aren’t you a doctor? So start treating me now.” Felicia held out her wrist.
“?” Bai Ye looked puzzled. “What are you doing?”

“You’ll find out soon enough.” Bai Ye took out a lantern.
The lantern was predominantly cyan-green, with a plum blossom on its body. Something seemed to be burning inside; Felicia could faintly hear a whooshing sound.
Just by taking out the lantern, Felicia felt a tingling numbness in her body—a sign that her injuries were gradually healing.
“What’s that?” Felicia asked curiously.
“Life magic.”
“And what’s life magic?”
“… I’ll tell you later.”
“Life Magic · Calming the Waves.”
Bai Ye raised the lantern. It immediately shone with an emerald-green light that flowed like a green river, slowly seeping into Felicia’s body.
Unlike the previous tingling, Felicia now felt a warm, comfortable sensation, as if she had taken a relaxing hot bath.
Under the influence of this comfort, Felicia closed her eyes.
“All done.” Bai Ye’s voice came. “Now try getting up and walking around.”
Felicia opened her eyes and, following Bai Ye’s instructions, got out of bed and took a few steps. Not a trace of soreness remained.
Now she was truly hopping around.
