Chapter 23: The Maid Uniform and the Punishment’s Mystery

As evening approached, Felicia returned to her room. She instantly kicked off her shoes and leaped onto the bed.

“Damn it,” she muttered, “I can freely leave the castle now, but escaping is still impossible.”

Felicia lay sprawled across the bed, her dragon tail gently swaying behind her.

No brilliant ideas had come to her, and she was even contemplating digging a tunnel with a spoon.

Yet, Felicia reconsidered. This was a world of magic; a tunnel would likely be discovered before long, so she quickly abandoned the notion.

“I’ll just wait until my invisibility spell is perfected, then I’ll walk out in broad daylight,” Felicia declared, spreading her hands.

Despite her recent lack of time, Felicia had diligently practiced her invisibility spell. Now, she could completely conceal her presence.

Paired with a silencing spell, she would be both invisible and noiseless—a born assassin, in essence.

Felicia thought this was a brilliant plan. Once she escaped, she would simply join any organization as an assassin, perhaps even rising to become a Shadow Assassin.

However, another matter deeply troubled Felicia: the nature of Seraphina’s punishment.

“It’s a shame Seraphina isn’t here. If she were, I could ask her, though she probably wouldn’t tell me anyway.”

“Ugh… being a dragon is so hard. I want to go home…”

Felicia tossed and turned on the bed. She waited for a long time, but Seraphina still didn’t return. Checking the time, it was already past eleven.

Ordinarily, Felicia would have already turned off the lights and fallen asleep by this hour.

“…Forget it. Thinking too much won’t help. I’ll know tomorrow,” Felicia said, extinguishing the light and plunging the room into darkness.

However, Felicia couldn’t help but wonder about Seraphina’s punishment, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.

‘What if her punishment is utterly perverse? Should I just run away?’

Felicia pondered this. Her strength had improved somewhat, and after forming a contract with Taosu, she could use her abilities to accelerate.

She should, probably, maybe, possibly be able to escape, right?

“Sleep, sleep, stop thinking so much.”

Rising the next morning, Felicia felt groggy, her eyes barely able to open.

“I had insomnia…” Felicia shook her head, trying to clear her mind.

Seraphina hadn’t arrived yet, so Felicia hopped off the bed and went to the bathroom for a quick wash.

Cold water splashed on Felicia’s face, waking her up further. At least she wouldn’t be stumbling around anymore.

She had felt as if she’d drunk fake alcohol when she first woke up, her brain struggling to control her body. Now, she felt much better.

As she emerged from the bathroom, she noticed her room door had opened. Seraphina entered, carrying a plate of steak in her left hand and a box in her right.

“What’s this?” Felicia asked, glancing at the box in Seraphina’s hand with a hint of confusion.

“No need to worry about that now. Eat your breakfast first,” Seraphina replied.

“Oh…” Felicia sat on the edge of the bed, eating her steak, a little distracted.

“What’s wrong?” Seraphina inquired, taking a seat beside Felicia.

“Nothing,” Felicia shook her head, continuing to eat.

“Are you thinking about the punishment?”

“How did you know?!” Felicia could no longer feign composure, her dragon tail swishing widely behind her.

“Your face makes your nervousness and fear too easy to read,” Seraphina answered. “Don’t worry, I’m actually a very kind and approachable person. The punishment won’t be severe.”

‘I hope so…’

Felicia didn’t entirely believe Seraphina’s words, yet she couldn’t help but want to, desperately hoping the punishment wouldn’t be too harsh.

Felicia slowed her eating, wishing the punishment would be delayed.

“Hmm?” Seraphina seemed to catch on to Felicia’s little scheme, meeting her gaze.

“…” Felicia promptly sped up, finishing the remaining half of her steak in no time.

“Open it and see,” Seraphina said, handing the box to Felicia.

“Alright…” Felicia opened the box, revealing a black and white maid uniform and a pair of white pantyhose.

She picked up the maid uniform, examining it. It appeared to be an ordinary maid outfit—at least from the front.

The back of the uniform, however, featured numerous cutouts, designed to expose at least half of her skin once worn.

‘Is this even a normal outfit?!’

The white pantyhose felt smooth and highly elastic. Intricate ice-blue patterns adorned them, and Felicia could faintly sense the flow of magic within these designs.

“So, what do you want me to do?” Felicia blinked, unsure of Seraphina’s intentions.

“Try on the clothes first,” Seraphina instructed.

“…Then at least turn around first.”

“We’re both girls, what’s there to be shy about? Besides, it’s not like I haven’t seen you exposed before.” Clearly, Seraphina had no intention of turning away.

Felicia frowned, slowly changing her clothes in front of Seraphina.

If it were just a normal change of clothes, it would have been fine. But Felicia noticed Seraphina’s distinctly aggressive gaze.

Felicia’s body trembled slightly, seemingly out of fear.

“Don’t intentionally drag this out, ~” Seraphina warned.

Felicia’s body quivered. At this point, she cast aside any shyness and quickly put on the distinctly unusual maid uniform and white pantyhose.

Just then, a gust of wind blew in through the open window, chilling Felicia’s exposed back.

“Mm, excellent,” Seraphina murmured, her hand caressing Felicia’s exposed skin on her back, nodding with satisfaction.

The stunning silver-haired girl, clad in the black and white maid uniform, had cheeks flushed with shyness, and her dragon tail swayed gently behind her.

Her legs, encased in white pantyhose, were utterly flawless, accentuating the silver-haired girl’s nearly perfect form.

“Wait for me,” Seraphina said, pulling out a mobile phone.

Having seen this device with Yunwu before, Felicia showed no surprise when Seraphina produced the phone.

After taking a picture of her, Seraphina seemed to be manipulating something on the device.

Felicia, unable to suppress her curiosity, subtly edged closer to see what Seraphina was doing.

The next moment, she saw her own photo, taken just moments ago, displayed as Seraphina’s phone wallpaper.

Seraphina put her phone away, only to find Felicia staring intently at her.

“Oh my, you caught me,” Seraphina chuckled.

“Aren’t you going to say anything about this?” Felicia demanded.

“Say what? Your entire dragon self belongs to me. What’s wrong with taking a picture of you?” Seraphina retorted.

At this point, Felicia was already plotting how to snatch Seraphina’s phone and smash it.

“If my phone breaks, I’ll make sure you break too, ~” Seraphina seemed to read Felicia’s thoughts, offering a “kind” reminder.

“…” Felicia remained silent, simply speechless with fear.
