Chapter 52: The Massage Therapy’s Side Effects

Felicia savored the ice pop from another world.

Hmm… As far as taste went, it seemed no different from the ones on Blue Star.

Was this kind of thing universal? Felicia couldn’t help but wonder.

“I almost forgot something,” Seraphina said.

“What?”

Instead of answering, Seraphina snapped her fingers. The handcuffs and shackles on Felicia shattered into pieces, then scattered in the wind, gone without a trace.

“This…?” Felicia was stunned.

Her prison-style outfit had just been removed?

She had thought she’d be stuck in that getup for months.

In fact, she’d almost gotten used to it. Now that they were gone, she felt a little uneasy.

Thinking about this, Felicia raised a hand and slapped her own cheek.

That habit was bad. She had to break it.

But as she looked at Seraphina, her confusion deepened.

Today, Seraphina was acting like she’d been drinking cheap booze—buying her an ice pop, then removing her prison outfit.

Was the world finally ending?

“What are you thinking about?” Seraphina leaned in close.

“When the world will end,” Felicia answered offhandedly.

“?” Seraphina looked puzzled.

“…” Felicia realized she’d blurted out her inner thoughts.

“Ahem, nothing, nothing. Pretend I didn’t say anything. My brain’s not working right now.”

“Mm,” Seraphina nodded.

“Felicia, do you like me?”

“No,” Felicia replied without hesitation.

“Why?” Seraphina asked.

“I just don’t. There’s no ‘why’… Also, I’m going to sleep.” Felicia finished the ice pop in a couple of bites, lay down on the bed, and prepared to drift off.

But Seraphina didn’t leave. Instead, she slowly approached.

“Wh-what are you doing now!” Felicia shrank to the edge of the bed, trembling. She looked like a curled-up ball of white fur—a dragon in distress.

“I’m going to treat you, of course,” Seraphina replied.

“T-treat?” Felicia was taken aback.

She hadn’t expected such a serious answer.

If it were the usual Seraphina, she’d probably have pounced by now, leaving Felicia pinned beneath her, unable to do anything but make indistinct noises.

Not that that feeling was all bad…

Ahem!

She was a proper dragon! How could she think such things?

“Let me see…” Seraphina took out the manual Bai Ye had given her.

It recorded many methods, but the fastest way to heal the patient was only one.

Massage.

Not ordinary massage—it required magic. It stimulated the patient’s body, temporarily boosting their self-healing ability to speed up recovery.

This method was perfect for those with strong vitality, like dragons.

Seraphina had read Bai Ye’s manual once before, but she needed to review it to deepen her understanding.

“Lie down.” Seraphina’s voice was gentle, yet carried an undeniable firmness.

“O-okay…” Felicia obediently lay on the bed.

Seraphina grabbed one of the silver-haired girl’s small feet and began massaging it.

Before Felicia could figure out what Seraphina was up to, a tingling sensation spread rapidly through her entire body.

“Eep?!” Felicia quickly covered her mouth, afraid she might make some strange sound.

Her face was already flushed with embarrassment, and her mind was full of confusion.

How… how could this be?

Since becoming a beautiful girl, Felicia had almost never explored her own body—Seraphina had already explored every part, both explorable and not.

But even so, this shouldn’t be happening!

Seraphina observed Felicia’s reaction and recalled the last line Bai Ye had written about massage therapy.

[Because this method essentially stimulates the body to heal itself, there are unavoidable side effects, such as a significant increase in sensory sensitivity. And the stronger the life force, the greater the increase.]

Applied to Felicia, this was the result.

Soon, Felicia felt her whole body go limp. She had no strength left.

She even had the illusion of turning into a puddle of liquid.

“Ugh… I knew you were up to no good!” Felicia glared at Seraphina.

This was so embarrassing for a dragon!

“Not at all. You misunderstand me,” Seraphina said innocently. “This is a legitimate therapy from Bai Ye.”

“Legitimate therapy?! What kind of legitimate therapy does this…” Felicia’s voice trailed off.

Even Seraphina couldn’t hear what she muttered.

“Ahem, you should change your clothes first.” Seraphina, sharp-eyed, noticed a small wet spot on the bed and handed Felicia a white dress.

“I need a moment…”

After lying still for a while, Felicia picked up the white dress and changed into it. She felt refreshed.

If only her body weren’t so weak.

“I never expected Bai Ye to seem proper but actually be a pervert. Next time I see her, I’m going to teach her a lesson!” Felicia muttered under her breath.

Seraphina just sat beside her, continuing to study the manual.

****

“Achoo—Who’s thinking about me?” Far away, Bai Ye rubbed her nose.

At her level of strength, she shouldn’t be catching colds.

That meant someone was thinking about her.

She suddenly remembered the manual she’d given Seraphina for free. Most of the treatments had various side effects, but they were either negligible or acceptable.

Especially the massage therapy. After the massage, injuries healed, and the body felt relaxed. It was a win-win.

If she’d sold it on the open market, Bai Ye would have charged millions of crystals.

But since she and Seraphina were friends, Bai Ye gave it away for free.

“I wonder how that little dragon’s injuries are. Probably better, right? With me on the case and a specialized therapy, how could she not recover?” Bai Ye muttered.

Felicia was indeed recovered—thoroughly—but she couldn’t get up for a while.

Bai Ye had never used the massage therapy herself, so she didn’t know how strong its side effects were.

Felicia, however, had felt them firsthand. Very strong.
