Join the ServerAs she was leaving, Felicia increased her magical output, resolving the fire caused by the magic beast.
“Felicia, Felicia, when will I become as strong as you?” Yun Que asked Felicia as they walked back to the village.
“Uh… drink more hot water, exercise more, run ten kilometers every morning, and do a hundred push-ups,” Felicia replied.
“Will I really become as strong as you if I do all that?!” Yun Que rubbed her hands together, a hint of excitement in her voice.
“No, but you’ll probably go bald.”
“…” Yun Que was speechless.
Felicia herself couldn’t fathom why she had grown so powerful, especially since all she did after transmigrating was eat and sleep.
She recalled Seraphina mentioning that this was a characteristic of the Dragon Race; they grew stronger without arduous training before reaching adulthood.
The strength of a dragon just entering adulthood was a level many people could never hope to achieve in their entire lives.
‘The disparity is truly immense,’ Felicia mused, a sigh escaping her lips.
“What, what?” Yun Que leaned in closer. “Felicia, what did you just say? I didn’t quite catch it.”
“Just some unimportant matters. You don’t need to know,” Felicia stated, unwilling to answer Yun Que’s question.
Seeing Felicia’s reluctance, Yun Que didn’t press further, returning quietly to the village.
Once they were back inside, Felicia sat on the bed, resuming her daze, while Yun Que busied herself tidying up, preparing for sleep.
“You can sleep on the bed tonight,” Yun Que told Felicia.
“And you? You’re not going to sleep on the floor, are you?”
“It’s not that bad,” Yun Que said, pulling out some straw and spreading it on the table, then covering it with a grass mat. “I’ll sleep on the table.”
“…Honestly, I feel like sleeping on the table is even worse than sleeping on the floor,” Felicia commented.
“Well, I can’t help it. There’s only one bed, and it’s not big enough,” Yun Que shrugged. “Besides, you paid me. As a businesswoman, I can’t let my customer suffer.”
“Anyway, I’m going to sleep now. Good night.” With those words, Yun Que swiftly climbed onto the table, pulled the grass mat over herself, and tightly shut her eyes.
“…Good night,” Felicia murmured.
However, in the cover of night, Felicia’s eyes remained open. She wasn’t sleeping, for sleep wouldn’t come.
After some time, Felicia confirmed Yun Que was asleep. She then tiptoed out of the room, leaping lightly onto the rooftop.
Felicia gazed up at the starry sky, only to find not a single star, nor even the moon. It was as if they were all obscured by dark clouds.
She was plagued by an ominous premonition, as if something momentous was about to unfold.
Perhaps this was what some people called a ‘woman’s sixth sense’?
Lost in thought, Felicia pinched herself.
‘Hiss—’ Though it stung, the pain jolted Felicia out of her wild conjectures.
In Felicia’s view, even if she had transformed into a silver-haired beauty, inexplicably become someone else’s nominal pet, and even been ‘this and that’ multiple times, she firmly believed her inner self hadn’t completely changed.
Simply put, she was stubborn through and through.
Yet, that ominous premonition lingered in Felicia’s heart, refusing to dissipate.
‘Forget it, forget it. Sleep! Once I’m asleep, I won’t think about anything anymore.’ Felicia decided to return indoors and get some serious sleep.
She quietly re-entered the room, finding Yun Que already deep in slumber. Felicia lay on the bed and soon fell into a sweet sleep herself.

“Hmm… I’ll stop traveling for today. She’ll probably only set off tomorrow morning anyway, so it won’t be too late for me to catch up then.”
Seraphina held a hand-drawn map, one she had sketched for the sisters Yunwu and Yunyu.
Since they frequently needed to go out for groceries, Seraphina had drawn them a map.
The map contained several annotations, including a castle, a small town eighty li away from the castle, and several smaller markings indicating various scattered villages.
Seraphina had tracked Felicia’s movements to this point, concluding that Felicia would likely stay overnight in that nameless village, so she wasn’t particularly rushed.
After all, with Seraphina’s strength, capturing Felicia would be but an instant’s work. Since Felicia wished to play, Seraphina saw no harm in humoring her.
Seraphina, being accustomed to the wilderness, naturally wouldn’t sleep directly in a tree like Felicia. Felicia was unprepared; how could Seraphina be?
Thus, Seraphina, as expected, produced a tent.
If Felicia could witness this scene, she would likely cry tears of joy.
Heaven knew how many times she had fallen out of trees while sleeping? If not for her extraordinary physique, she would have surely met her demise at the base of a tree.
Seraphina crawled into the tent, pulled her blanket over her, and soon drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, Yun Que rose early, though Felicia was still sound asleep.
Yun Que stood by the bed, pondered for a moment, but ultimately decided against waking Felicia. Instead, she quietly left.
She slung her basket, filled with herbs, onto her back and gathered a few other miscellaneous items, preparing to take them to sell.
Today was the day merchants from Inter Town came to the village for trade. Yun Que, of course, needed to sell some goods and, while she was at it, see if she could pick up any work or buy some medicine.
Although her illness wasn’t severe, prolonged neglect could prove fatal.
Yun Que walked to the other end of the village and, from a distance, spotted a somewhat portly middle-aged man disembarking from a carriage.
Evidently, the middle-aged man was the merchant who had come to the village for trade today. Already, several earlier-arriving villagers were conducting transactions with him.
“Come one, come all! This sword is said to have been wielded by a great hero of old. It can cut through iron like mud and split a hair with a single blow! Now, for only fifteen hundred crystals, you can take it home! Take a look!” The merchant enthusiastically promoted his wares to the villagers.
“No, no, thank you. I live here and don’t go out. What would I do with a sword? Even if I had to fight a beast, I don’t know swordsmanship,” a villager refused.
“Then how about these shoes? Extremely comfortable to wear, and they even offer a slight speed boost. All yours for just eight hundred crystals.”
“The shoes are nice… but I earn less than five thousand crystals a year. Spending eight hundred on a pair of shoes is too extravagant. No, no, Boss, if you could make them cheaper, I might consider it.”
“I can’t help it. Though these shoes aren’t exactly a magic artifact, they’re not ordinary footwear either, so the price is naturally a bit higher.”
…….
Yun Que had arrived relatively early, with only a few people ahead of her. Soon, it was her turn.
“Are you looking to buy anything?”
“Some medicine, purified water, and I’m hoping to find some work.”
The merchant handed Yun Que a large bottle of water and a bottle of low-grade pills.
“That’ll be five hundred crystals in total.”
“How exorbitant…” Yun Que’s hand trembled as she handed the money to the merchant, even pulling back a few times reluctantly when he reached for it.
Ultimately, she surrendered the money to the merchant.
“As for work… I actually do have something you could do,” the merchant said, eyeing Yun Que.
“Really? That would be wonderful!”
